I agree with this list, especially #1 and #2. For the big events being held at the D23 Hall, I'd strongly recommend arriving super early. Last expo's Disney Live Action film presentation, the general queue got filled up at 5 am for that morning. We barely made the cutoff for that and then they do a standby queue which doesn't guarantee seating, so you're taking a risk. To give you an idea on how many people were in the general queue before the cutoff, it was around 8,000 people. For this upcoming Friday, if you go to the Legends Ceremony and want to go see the Pixar and Animated Movies presentation, you are going to have to go straight back in line and hope for the best since both are being held in the same area (D23 Hall). - SorcererD91 9129.9 #15 7-11-17 9:22PMLike(2)Reply
Great post! We always try to stay late, and have found the floor quiet then too, great to shop and explore at that time. Lots of great memories have been made at the Expo, Richard Sherman, meeting Dick Van Dyke, speaking with "Jane Banks" and lots more. Hope to see some of you there. - snowwannab 759.3 #314 7-12-17 9:56AMLikeReply
I don't have either, and I also don't have that application. So this post isn't very helpful to me. But... since you're being helpful to the other kids I thanked it anyway. - phillip...rocks 1788.4 #117 7-10-17 10:41PMLikeReply
No visit is ever the same. Last night a CM told us about these six cards that you/kids can ask for in various stores around ROA. Once you get all six, flip them over to make a map of Tom Sawyer's Island.
I think things like this and pin trading are a great way to get kids to talk to adults and come out of their shell. I love treachng the kids to interact with manners. - Quiweez 1548.2 #141 6-21-17 11:39AMLike(3)Reply
The problem with the WiFi is that it turns off and then back on as you move from area to area. Very annoying, especially every time the "Sign In" notice comes on and then goes away once it connects you. - Winnie111286 43500.0 #2 6-13-17 8:11AMLike(1)Reply
the significant thing is that dlr intends to stop printing the times guide, and force all of us to have smart phones and use the disneyland app. and check wait times, restaurant hours, reservations, etc via app. this is not an option for my mother, and anyone who does not have a smart phone and a good cell network. having inconsistent wifi is just a small part of the coming complications. - MsTikiMermadam 2600.1 #69 6-14-17 11:33PMLikeReply

That sounds super cool. Too bad you didn't get to see the fireworks but it sounds fun - FoolishMortal138 816.6 #284 6-1-17 8:38PMLike(2)Reply
Wow! Great review! I was wondering what would happen if the fireworks get cancelled. Sounds like lots of neat perks for the guests. Did you have to make advanced reservations for this or can you do this last minute? - DisneyDiane316 4266.0 #44 6-1-17 8:45PMLike(1)Reply
Every video review, they never get to see the fireworks. (High winds) It sounds fun, but perfection if you definitely got to see the fire works. They still get me teary-eyed from Main Street, I think they'd be amazing from that view. - AngelaSparrow 239.1 #1647 6-8-17 8:05AMLike(1)Reply

Parents, visitors, come from all over the world and with
minis all the time. The entire family can enjoy including infants any ride that
does not have a height requirement. But what happens when you want to ride a
that any of your minis cannot ride due to height or scarred and you have multiple
parents/adults in your group. I’m sorry you will have to sit outside and talk
with other people while your group goes in and enjoys the ride…sorry. Fear not
Disney has a rider switch/parent swap program in place to accommodate this.
First see a cm at the ride attraction and ask for the parent swap. You will be issued a rider switch pass (
check the pass in most rides 2 people can go back but I have seen in some rides
like btrr and splash where 3 can go back) or sometimes you are handed a red
time card to exchange for a pass switch near the loading cm. Pay attention to
where you are to return in some rides you return through the exit and in some
you go to the fasspass line ask the cm. Now
while the rest of your party goes and ride , the adult watching the kids wait
for their party members to return. Then you take your pass and Switch (based on
the number of people allowed back could be 2 maybe 3 check your pass) and go
though the designated return area and ride. Thank you Disney as this allows
everyone to enjoy the ride without having to have an adult wait the entire wait
time. Please note that you are not guaranteed immediate boarding. Another
Program available is the single rider program. This is different and helps to
fill open spots on certain rides and fill to capacity. The single rider program
can open and close at any time and not available at all times if the ride time
is short and or too many people are in line as well. If you decide to go as a
group do not expect to ride in the same vehicle and will split and a single
rider must meet height and age requirements to ride so don’t send your 5 yr by
themselves. Ask for single rider and you may be issued a single rider pass or directed
to go to a separate single rider entrance. Final word parent swap is at any
ride with a height requirement . Single rider is limited to In DISNEYLAND- (
splash mnt , Indiana Jones and matterhorn) and in DCA – ( soaring over California,
RSR, California Screaming, Goofys sky school and at grizzly river run although
grizzy does limit the number of single riers throughout the day. Hope this
helps in planning your trips.
