Would it be ok to take a 21 month old to the Carthay Circle restaurant or would y'all say it's too fancy?
I probably would have taken mads that young, just so I didn't miss out on a great restaraunt. I took her to my fav nice restaraunt all the time at that age, although if she got too funnsy I'd get the rst of my food to go so I didn't dusturb people. Rarely happened since thankfully mads was pretty good at places. - madsdad1119.6 #73 7-19-12 10:32PMLike Reply
Thank you! I will do the same, if he gets fussy, we will just leave. - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 7-20-12 7:42AM
Daniel usually does good at places but I know there are some expensive restaurants I wouldn't think to take him to, I wasn't sure if this restaurant is like that. - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 7-20-12 7:47AM
In my mind it would depend upon how rare a treat eating somewhere nice like this is for you. If you get to enjoy fine dining on a regular occasion, and, worst case scenario, you had to leave mid-meal so as not to disturb other guests, would it be no big thing, or would it be a heartbreaking experience? Also, you know better than we how long and well you are able to occupy/distract your child. Keep in mind, he/she will be tired, over-stimulated and probably hungry. - LittleAprilShowers470.9 #255 7-19-12 10:48PMLike Reply
Good points! We rarely go to fine dining restaurants but if we have to leave in the middle, I won't mind at all. We have taken him to a lot of restaurants and he usually does really good but there have been times where we had to walk out with him. I just wasn't sure if The Carthay was too fancy to take a baby. Thank you for your response! :) - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 7-20-12 7:45AM
I need some opinions please. I really want to buy tickets to the Halloween event (my husband and I love the Fall/Halloween) but it is expensive for us and my husband wants to wait another year to take our son. Our son will almost be 2 i More...
Don't children under 3 get in free? Honestly.... Man this sounds so harsh but I barley remeber anything in my life prior to my 7th birthday lol. - BooEve123800.3 #115 7-9-12 2:00PMLike Reply
Lol, I know, I'm the same way! He will get in free though. My husband is letting me decide and I'm such a girl cause I hate making these decisions. - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 7-9-12 2:17PM
Honestly.... this may just be my opnion ( i had a rocky childhood lol... so maybe that is why I do not remember my like young youth) But make this more a trip that you guys can enjoy time together and take lots of photos with the little one. I am not child psych but between 2 and 3 when your child is 18 they wont be like, remeber that one time when I was 3 and i saw mickey for the first time. BUT you will be able to capture photos. and the costumes for 2 year olds are adorbs:) Sorry I am not more help:) I would just maybe put your husband and your happiness a little ahead right now;) what would make you guys happy you guys will be happy having family time that is just an extra;) - BooEve123 800.3 #115 7-9-12 2:23PM
I think your son,who would get in free under 2, would have a blast. I have done it each year and they outdo themselves. Everyone has an amazing time and getting to see the nighttime parade with Halloween costumed characters is so worth it! - alwaysbouncinby320.5 #516 7-9-12 2:07PMLike Reply
I forgot they have a parade! My husband won't dress up but I have cute costume ideas for my son and me. - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 7-9-12 2:21PM
It's a fun event! My son enjoyed it a lot at almost 3 last year. Ultimately, he won't remember it whether you go this year or next, but it will be a memorable time for you. My only caution is that kids tucker out or get crabby before the event is over. Plan ahead to make the best of it. For us, we made sure to bring the comfy stroller he could fall asleep in. And we were able to trick or treat once he slept. - cynDOLEwhip744.1 #137 7-9-12 2:29PMLike Reply

Does anyone know, if the parking structure, for Disneyland, opens an hour before the park opens, does the Downtown Disney parking area open at the same time?
yes the parking structure opens 1 hour before the park! i'm not sure about the downtown disney... sorry :( - littleone240.5 #1102 6-11-12 2:50PMLike Reply
No worries, I'm looking online but haven't found the parking hours for Downtown Disney yet. - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 6-11-12 3:07PM
Does anyone know if there is a backstory to the crow (or raven??) that follows the doom buggy on the Haunted Mansion? My husband was wondering this yesterday, I'm thinking he just guides you through the mansion.
Hehe, yes, he kind of follows you through the ride. I can't remember his exact spots but try looking for him next time you go :). - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 5-9-12 9:18PM
On a candlabra by the guy trying open his coffin, on the chair in Madame Leota's room, on tree branch when entering cemetery, on arch way you go under before the hitch hiking ghosts - shadowgamer 1954.3 #37 5-9-12 9:26PM
The raven was meant to be a narrator thru the rode but then the idea was scrapped n the birds were just kept in place - BandleaderMickey250.9 #1000 5-9-12 8:53PMLike Reply
I'm glad they kept them in, he's kind of like your personal guide. - kss4tink 216.8 #1392 5-9-12 9:25PM
As i said in the other post, crows are viewed as the watchers of the dead. Thats why most horror movies have one around a dead body, etc - shadowgamer1954.3 #37 5-9-12 10:32PMLike Reply

CM's in the Magic Kingdom tend to be a little less friendly. Not all, but enough that it makes it different from DL. It's still Disney. Magical!! - MyPark 943.6 #91 3-18-12 10:02PM
Someone once described wdw as if an outside company went to dl and tried to copy it. Not that it was less or more than, just that it lacked the spirit of Walt. - AWholeNewWorld252.9 #979 3-19-12 1:13AMLike Reply
