I found someone's wallet by the shuttles and turned it in...they can track people down if AP holders right?
Well if the person is still there most likely they will be checking Lost and Found. Otherwise, they have been known to mail items back to guests. My day's cane was mailed back to him after they found it - KissDclown1088.1 #77 12-11-12 2:12PMLike Reply

Or you can do the 405 south to the 110 north(.3 or less of a mile) to the 91 east to the 5 south. They all have a carpool lane. Usually the carpool for 105 fwy gets backup because of the 110 fwy carpool merge. - VfxGenie 1353.0 #59 12-5-12 11:45AM

I agree. Huntington Beach on the Main Street is the best to visit to get that great CA beach feeling. There are great shops, restaraunts and the pier is cool. On Tuesday nights they block off the street for cool vendors/farmers market and the surf shops have sidewalk sales on tee's etc. Then Laguna "Main" Beach would be my second choice. - DesperateMousewife873.8 #104 4-18-12 7:18AMLike Reply
Awesome thank you! I will look into those beaches... I know I have heard of Huntington Beach before. I would have to say stop at San Clemente if u take the Amtrak at Angels stadium it will drop u off right on the beach it's a fun experience - princessVanessa 382.5 #351 4-18-12 10:34AM
If you want to see the coast down to San Diego, I too would suggest taking the Surfliner train. It rides along the coast. You can stop along the way, like in San Clemente, and then hope back on. Once you get into San Diego, you can take the trolly around. Seaport Village down in San Diego is fun for kids. If you wanted to drive the coast, it will take you a lot longer. PCH stops at the end of San Clemente and you have to take the 5 freeway for most of the way. - caramiapoohAKAface 1440.9 #54 4-18-12 10:50AM
Newport Beach and have a nice lunch at Perry's Pizza. Or pack your own lunch and hit Corona Del Mar. Corona Del Mar is very family friendly and the waves never get big due to the breakers. - Art2D2202.3 #1591 4-18-12 11:06AMLike Reply

We are taking my 5 year old nephew in a week and he just watched Dumbo (to tie in Casey Jr and Dumbo) a Winnie the Pooh and Peter pan, he loved them. I am going to try and get in a Bugs Life viewing too. Have a great trip!! - Linzee515.8 #226 3-10-12 9:31AMLike(1) Reply
I kept some of my preferred viewing tabs from AAA so we get to get in close too for our next trip. Truly love that show! - madsdad1123.8 #73 3-10-12 10:20AMLike Reply
Have any of my fellow MWers been to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique with their sons? It looks very cute for girls but I will be going with my 5-year-old son next month and I'm contemplating taking him for the knight package. How do they make More...
That's what I'm wondering about... I'm sure my son would enjoy being a knight, but I wonder if the boutique is very girly and if the whole process is mainly geared towards little girls how they make it more boy-ish for the little boys that come in. - jalensmommy 150.1 #2286 3-9-12 12:42PM
Thank you for posting this.....I will be looking fwd to the responses as well. Last summer we were in DTD and they have that store that makes the kids up as well, so I asked them about boys. They told me that there they make them into rock stars glitter & all. We couldn't afford it at the time, but as we walked out the sprinked glitter in his hair!! LoL He was stoked!! - 619HeatherMouse221.6 #1337 3-9-12 12:40PMLike Reply
....Donnie my son is 6 1/2 and always says "No Fair that the girls get to dress up and be all fancy, why can't they make me a pirate or something cool, it's not just for girls" So ha ha ha apparently, yes boys like it too LoL - 619HeatherMouse221.6 #1337 3-9-12 12:41PMLike Reply

Someone told me today that Disneyland has a "LegoLand" area inside... is this true? And if so, can you guys describe it and perhaps compare it to the actual LegoLand? My son wants to go but after reading reviews I am very reluctant to spe More...
Legoland is my backyard. My kids have been going since they are 6mo. Honestly is a 1 day park. You can make the drive in one day. Drive down in the morning do the park and drive back to your hotel. It's a cute park and mini land is pretty cool to see if you like Legos. The water park isn't very much fun unless it's really warm. They do not heat the water and Legoland seems to have its own weather pattern you may think its warm until you get into the park. I would not do soak city with your child's age better to just stay at the hotel pool that is heated. - Lifeguardmom292.5 #657 2-25-12 10:37PMLike(4) Reply
Maybe thinking of the Lego store in DTD? If you are trying to decided between Disneyland and...really anywhere...the answer is Disneyland. Always. - tuesday7371076.5 #78 2-25-12 10:06PMLike(3) Reply

That is so nice of you! I would say yes however I already changed our air reservations so we will be spending 1 additional day at Disneyland instead of going to San Diego. - jalensmommy150.1 #2286 2-26-12 12:32AMLike Reply
Hey all! Does anyone know the typical hours of the Disneyland Hotel pools? Thanks!
I dont see it listed on the pool page for the hotel and nothing came up in a search. Anyone else know? - jalensmommy150.1 #2286 2-25-12 1:10AMLike(1) Reply

My 5-year-old son is 47.5" tall and he really wants to go on California Screamin'...... he just told me that he is going to eat as many vegetables as he can every day so he can hurry up and be tall enough to ride it! :)
That is so cute. See if you can spike his hair or something to make him taller. Oh, and standing up straight and extending ur knees can add half an inch. - MirrorMirror14.2 #5787 2-25-12 6:26AMLike Reply
Good evening MWers! Okay so my latest Disneyland planning question is regarding the meal plans..... I have been reading up on the options on the Disneyland website and various 'google' results, but I still find the options a little confus More...
If you want to have breakfast and see all of the characters, I would recommend making reservations in advance. The breakfast will take 60-90 minutes. - BeachGirlJenny10.6 #6569 2-21-12 10:10PMLike(2) Reply
Thanks! So if I am understanding correctly, even if we stay in the Disneyland hotel, we can't just show up at Goofy's Kitchen (in the hotel, yes?) for breakfast without a reservation made way ahead of time? Are you ever allowed to just appear? It's hard to know ahead of time where we will eat since I haven't been since I was little. - jalensmommy 150.1 #2286 2-21-12 10:22PM
You need to make a reservation. They don't usually have openings for walk-ups. - PrincessKristin 774.5 #126 2-21-12 10:24PM
Since you have not been there for many years, and it's your son's first trip, there are a lot of planning tips that would help you have a great trip - way too many to share here. When my boys were little, I took each of them on 'mommy and me' Disney trips (from Portland). Once on the train, once driving, and once on a plane. I would be happy to help you plan, if you would like. I will message you my email, then just send me a note if you would like some help and/or tips. (if you don't send me a note, I won't be offended :) The park has changed quite a bit since your last visit. - PrincessKristin774.5 #126 2-21-12 10:46PMLike(1) Reply

Thanks! I think we will try both. Perhaps get an early reservation (like 730) before the park opens? Some of the reviews have recommended this - jalensmommy150.1 #2286 2-22-12 12:59AMLike Reply

Okay I have a silly question! I am planning my sons first trip to Disneyland (a surprise!) and the mom in me is wondering about pictures. I'd like to carry a small backpack with he camera and essentials and perhaps a small umbrella stroll More...
You're in luck, I might just be the only one still up over here in Cali! Unfortunately, there is no designated area to leave your important items while on rides. They have stroller areas where you can leave your belongings but that is only as safe as the people around them. Most roller coasters have storage bags in front of you while on the ride which you can place your camera and what not. You may also rent lockers but I dont believe that would be very beneficial to you seeing as they are at the entrance of the park. My personal advice would be to take a small backpack that you can carry on rides and store your important items. Better safe than sorry! - ScubaSteve028807.6 #114 2-21-12 4:12AMLike(3) Reply

Carry only what you need in a bag. Store the rest in a locker. Bring a baggie or two to keep your camera and/or phone dry.

My girlfriend brought a bike lock for her stroller, while it doesn't exactly prevent someone from simply picking up your stroller and walking away it does help deter them, just make sure that a CM can move it if need be. I would take a backpack on the ride with you. I hope you guys have fun! - tiggertwin317.8 #530 2-21-12 6:59AMLike Reply
Water food and clothes are safe under the stroller, keep all the important stuff in your backpack, make sure it's not too big or you can't turn in line and you'll be taking it on and off a lot. - Irisheyes239.0 #1124 2-21-12 7:09AMLike Reply

You should buy him some Disney clothes, then watch a whole bunch of Disney movies before hand or on the plane, then read some Disney books. Them ask him "Boy after all these Disney surprises, movies, and books, wouldn't it be cool to to go to Disneyland?" Assuming he says yes, then say on the plane "Well surprise! We're on our way now!" I think that would be a great surprise! - JoeDownTheRabbitHole395.9 #336 2-21-12 12:11AMLike(8) Reply

Either at breakfast or I can tell him that we're going somewhere on a plane and give him the gifts on the plane every 30 mins or so to make the time to by and see him figure it out that way. I don't think I'd be able to get him on his first flight without him CONSTANTLY asking me where we're going lol - jalensmommy150.1 #2286 2-24-12 11:12PMLike Reply
