For one it's not needed. Those are already on your pc or phone. And that's why there are maps at the parks. My maps to the DLR are in my head. I am not directing any anger towards cast members just because they are working for Disney. I am calling B.S. to those who make rediculous profits unknown to Disney as a company... Iv'e gone broke trying to get park 1's and other rare vinyls. I just paid $140 for a Park 1 Figment, I am ok with spending that much on a old mold Figment since I realize they didnt make that many and it is a long ago retired set...but, I cant afford to be spending this kind of money on a new mold item that costs cast members probably around 10-12$ its just not fair to us average vinyl addicts. They are already on ebay for 40$+ ... This is just robbery. Seriously, you can waste all your money like you mentioned looking for that one item that you want in a series or you can trade for it for a blind trade. Yes, there's a 1/24 chance it can be a chaser but the odds are really against your favor. I am one of those traders at D-St. who asks for blind boxes at times (so I can save money) and never once have I ever been fortunate enough to get a variant or a chaser. And if I like something enough for example the Cheshire Cat from AIW, I dont mind buying a blind box for it. It beats continuing to spend money looking for that one or two item. If I happened to have pulled a variant or chaser then kudos to that person. I still get what I want from the trade.
That's just my opinion.

Unfortunately I don't have money to be buying blind boxes as traders. ย When I go to D-street I go to trade the vinyls I have, not buy new ones for someone else. ย To me it defeats the whole trading purpose...I understand if I do not have anything that the person I am trying to make a trade with is looking for... No problem, no hard feelings, I will move on... I just dont like being asked to go into a store and make a purchase, when I came there to TRADE not make trips to the atm. Normally I have found unless you have something worth more than the item you are trying to trade for they will not be interested I understand how things work commons for commons rare for rare. But this is not the feeling I get on D- street. I always feel like I am just being taken advantage of. Maybe it is just me, maybe I have just ran into the wrong people. im kind of confused on why it is such a big deal if a trader is asking you to buy a blind box for the vinyl that you want... In the end yes they could possibly get a chaser or varient but thats a very unlikly chance (unless you are really good at picking them) IMO it is easier just to buy a 10-12 dollar blind box and have the vinyl i want locked in, instead of having to buy the same series over 20 twenty times and still not getting the one i want. so in the end you could either spend about maybe 200 dollars buying 20 different blind boxes in hopes for the one that you want, or you could just walk into d street buy one for about 10-12 (if you have an AP) and be done with it, you dont have to spend anymore money on that series hoping for the one that you want because now you have it. I mean if the blind box for a vinyl trade bugs you soo much why do you still go down to d street and try to trade with them? What i dont understand when i read some of these mw post about d street trades is that it seems like they have never tried to actually talk to the people like humans instead they just assume they are all sharks and are wanting to screw them over. Maybe people should try to get to know some of them more and they will realize its not like that at all. I agree with MickeyMax, its the chances you take in buying the blind box for the other trader.
