Do you buy packaged snacks in Disneyland? I ask because I've noticed that I tend not to buy anything at Disneyland that I could buy at a local store, saving my money for in park treats like churros, or Mickey-shaped ice cream sandwiches More...
I tend to do the same but my son has managed to find cheetos in the park and I have to say nothing beats a little bowl of the fresh fruit especially the cold grapes on a hot day. - PopcornYeti377.6 #360 9-19-12 8:35AMLike Reply
We don't live in southern California, but I do tend to bring a few snacks that I will stash in my purse. But I am still a sucker for those cute Disney-shaped pretzels, so I still end up buying snacks, anyway. I cannot believe I did not get one of those Mickey ice cream sandwiches this summer, though. What's your opinion of the mint julip? I've only had it once and my recollection was it was too sweet but others have raved about it. What do you think?
The mint julep is a pretty awesome drink. There have been times when I've gotten it too sweet or watered down. I think it just depends but you should give it another try. - misseeyore499.9 #239 9-7-12 3:05PMLike Reply

Has anyone stayed successfully low-carb at Disneyland without having to eat a salad for every meal? I think I might just take a diet break for the four days I will be there.
On Disney vacations, I've found the best thing I can do for myself is portion control. I eat about 5-6 meals throughout the day in smaller portions. I normally eat breakfast, and then break my lunch and dinner into smaller meals. I've found that this provides me with energy I need throughout the day and is actually better for your metabolism, anyway! Hope this helps! - EpicDio381.7 #354 2-9-12 9:23AMLike(6) Reply

Lots: French Market - chicken or pot roast with no carbs or just veggies, Plaza - fried chicken and that's it since it has breading on it or just veggies, Ariel's Grotto - cippino (seafood stew), Blue Bayou - lots of dishes there. Just get all your sides substituted to veggies or extra protein. Paradise Grill - all of their meat dishes, just get extra cucumber salads (so yummy too!). - Elaine404.3 #322 2-10-12 8:08AMLike Reply
