Check out the calendar with blackout dates. If the dates you want to go are not blocked out by a pass that would cost less than your tickets, then go for it! I'm thinking about getting one as well (from Canada too π) the way I see it is that if you plan to go more then once a year it is usually worth it especially with the discounts. Hello Canada. Definitely consider it if you will visit the parks often. You will receive discounts on merch and food. Make 2012-2013 your Disney year and go for it! It will pay for itself after a few visits. For me, experiencing the parks as an AP is a lot different than having limited tickets. I enjoy things more without having to worry that my time is running out. And knowing that subsequent visits will be freeβ¦ Well thatβs priceless. I have two lightboxes, but none of the scene you describe. I have the Splash Mtn one and Sorceror Mickey. The Mickey one seems dimmer and darker than the other. But I think that has to do with some of the coloring effects. The lights steadily shift between a few colors of lights. So you could have a multi-color light box. But if the lights are the same color and they are flickering - that would definitely sound like a problem and you should Disney to see if you can get a replacement. I do know that when I got the Splash Mtn scene we tested a couple in the World of Disney store before we found one that worked well and didn't have any comestic issues. If I'm with my wife, daughter, or my Mom, some parts of WOC make me tear up a little. I think it's a combo of the music and the women in my life hold a special place in my heart. Then again, my boys are special in my heart also. Disney is real good about putting music that stirs emotions to their visuals. The Holiday lighting of the castle is another good example of something that is meant to get to you in a special way.

We went last year during Spring break (Sun-Thur before Easter) and it was not to bad. Yes it was crowded but the evenings were light. We just got up early for opening then left around 1 each day for a nap then came back around 5 until closing.
