Does anyone know what time Hungry Bear closes on weeknights? We've gone a few times at about 5:30-6pm and the restaurant part is always closed. I checked the food section on this app but it didn't give me the hours. Thank you! :)
it usually closes an hour before park closing, but if its not that crowded, it will close early - BaseballMickey_CM2819.8 #16 9-27-12 1:52PMLike Reply

Have you seen Fantasmic before? I really enjoyed the Carthay Circle Restaurant, but I also know how a nice meal can become stressful with little ones. I personally would pick the dessert thing for Fantasmic just because I know my girls would enjoy that much more than sitting in a restaurant. If I knew they would behave, I'd do dinner instead. Would it be ok to take a 21 month old to the Carthay Circle restaurant or would y'all say it's too fancy?
I probably would have taken mads that young, just so I didn't miss out on a great restaraunt. I took her to my fav nice restaraunt all the time at that age, although if she got too funnsy I'd get the rst of my food to go so I didn't dusturb people. Rarely happened since thankfully mads was pretty good at places. - madsdad1123.4 #73 7-19-12 10:32PMLike Reply

In my mind it would depend upon how rare a treat eating somewhere nice like this is for you. If you get to enjoy fine dining on a regular occasion, and, worst case scenario, you had to leave mid-meal so as not to disturb other guests, would it be no big thing, or would it be a heartbreaking experience? Also, you know better than we how long and well you are able to occupy/distract your child. Keep in mind, he/she will be tired, over-stimulated and probably hungry. - LittleAprilShowers471.0 #257 7-19-12 10:48PMLike Reply
Good points! We rarely go to fine dining restaurants but if we have to leave in the middle, I won't mind at all. I left my wife over by the River, closest to Haunted Mansion, so that I could run and use the restroom. When I came back she was looking out over at TS Island, with her back to me obviously. So I walked up and put my arms around her and whispered somethin' like "Hey Babe", and she just caressed my arm. Within 30 seconds, my real wife came up and asked what the hell I was doing... The woman and I both jumped, realizing that she happened to have the same long dark hair and same jacket as my wife, we all laughed a little uncontrollably and eventually went about our day. - TheBudd357.3 #396 1-26-12 9:48AMLike(31) Reply
Let me begin by saying, I am 4'10" and look young for my age (27). I was in line with my boyfriend for TOT and a kid near me immediately started a conversation with me about his light up glasses. He must have been about 9. From the video room to the line up before getting on, we talked and he asked me questions like my favorite subject in school, etc. and everyone around had a chuckle because he clearly thought I was much younger. Anyway, while in line, he asks, "So... Who's your best friend?" I smiled and pointed at my boyfriend. He gives me a really confused look and says very loudly, "Your dad?!" At that point, everyone in line starts laughing. My boyfriend and I are the same age. I was really embarrassed. I guess I need to wear taller shoes to Disneyland. 😠- MonteKristal308.7 #566 1-26-12 1:00PMLike(10) Reply

We are planning to go to dapper day but I have nothing to wear. Does anyone know of any good thrift stores with cute stuff? I've never been thrifting before so I have no clue where to start. I'm in Orange County :).
The original Disneyland designers frequently populated their renderings with guests who appeared dressed for a day of sophisticated entertainment – because this was Disneyland after all! A new, highly developed, exhaustively detailed entertainment experience. No flip-flops or cargo shorts here! These were men in sharp suits, toddlers working two-pieces, and ladies looking like pages from Dior’s sketchbook – all as if a visit to Disneyland were on par with a night at the opera. And why shouldn’t it be? That’s what this day is about, realizing those designer’s dreams that Disneyland be seen as the upscale escape that it is, filled with guests dressed appropriately for it.Interpret this however you like. A period “Mad Men†look is as correct as the latest haute couture, be creative, go Gaga, anything that would make the legendary and stylish Disney designers Mary Blair, John Hench, Herbie Ryman, Dorthea Redmond, Harriet Burns and the rest of the stylish WED lot look proud – or blush! - splashphotoCM880.9 #100 1-14-12 1:54PMLike(4) Reply

My baby and I are going to Disneyland in the morning. Last day to go before my pass is blocked for the rest of 2011.
The picture looks distorted but if the picture turned out ok, please say hi if you see us tomorrow! :)
Have a great day in the parks! Cute pic - donnievegas1127.5 #72 12-14-11 8:21PMLike Reply
Thank you! :). We went right when it first opened and only stayed till 11 but no one saw us :(. Oh well, next time! It was so nice that the park wasn't crowded yet. - kss4tink216.8 #1393 12-15-11 5:02PMLike Reply
Wow, is it really only 60 for the crowd index? I thought it would be a lot worse! Hmmm...maybe I'll drag my hubby to Disneyland tonight since it's my birthday lol.
Taking my baby to Disneyland tomorrow, by myself, for the second time. The first time went pretty good. I'm just praying he doesn't have a meltdown tomorrow. I wish I didn't get so nervous going out alone but I need to get him out of t More...
Lol, thanks everyone, I will definitely take patience!
@causemickeyalwayssmiles: happy birthday to your son! I will say hi if I see you! :). Hope he has a blast for his birthday! - kss4tink216.8 #1393 12-5-11 9:29PMLike Reply
Well, it went pretty good yesterday! Went on a few rides. Tried to get him to take a nap but he wasn't having any of that lol! He only started getting fussy when we stopped to eat lunch. I knew I shouldn't have gone to a sit down restaurant but I thought I would try it. He was doing good but then started throwing stuff on the floor and getting cranky so it was time to leave at that point ha! Thanks again for the good lucks! :) - kss4tink216.8 #1393 12-7-11 11:12AMLike Reply
I asked this in another post but I can't find it, so forgive me if it's already been answered. Does anyone know if they ever bring back the ice cream flavor, Fantasia (I think that's what it was called) to the ice cream parlor on Main St More...
Don't know if it will ever be brought back, but it sounds like it was a combination of flavors. Found a recipe online, never tasted it so don't know if it is a real recipe: If you have a Cold Stone Creamery near you, you can have them mix up a batch. Ask for a base of sweet cream ice cream with pistachio syrup (and chopped pistachios if they have them—chopped walnuts if they don't) mixed with cherry pie filling and banana (mouseplanet). I imagine the same could be done by blending pistachio, banana, and cherry ice cream. - Sugarbuzz44.3 #3869 12-5-11 8:39AMLike(2) Reply
Thanks Sugarbuzz! I will have to try that! - kss4tink 216.8 #1393 12-5-11 9:13AM

Thank you everyone for his birthday wishes! We had a great time and even had breakfast at the Plaza Inn, with the characters. He loved Chip and Dale! It's hilarious because he's scared of my family but he's not scared of the characters lol! I guess they look cute and cuddly :).
We did get him a pin but he wouldn't stop playing with it and it came off one time, so he didn't wear it :(. - kss4tink216.8 #1393 12-1-11 8:31AMLike Reply

My uncle took their latest edition (6 mos) and he did ok. He did hold on to him and slightly lift him on the drops so they weren't as extrme. - mandigutterrose156.4 #2203 11-30-11 12:38AMLike Reply
It really depends on the kid...I have twin sisters and their first time on pirates was when they were 4...one of them enjoyed it while the other one cried histerically. You just have to know your kid :) - RiRiBelle7.4 #7931 11-30-11 1:15AMLike Reply

A friend of mine did a series of pics of her kid every month holding a sign with his age on it, they were hilarious and adorable. It would be cute to do that on your birthday at Disneyland every year. - bluefairy627.0 #174 11-20-11 4:57PMLike Reply
