Just spoke with an employee at market house. He said April 14 is the last day to go. The date was released to them yesterday. Apparently the crystal shop next door will be closed as well to remodel for table room.

#MW Magazine. I FINALLY have some free time, so I'm getting started on the next issue! My question is this: What were your thoughts when you entered Carsland for the first time? What about when you began walking down BVS? Thanks!
BVS is timeless... I love the architecture and all the shops. I'm taken back by all the details they included inside of the shops as well. The trolleys also add that genuine touch that you have entered back in time to when Walt arrived. I absolutely love it. And Carsland is just too busy for me to enjoy it yet. Aww I wish I could answer all of this.. Still haven't been yet :( but I do have hopes and thoughts on what I imagine it to be 😊 I've so far seen the Carthay Circle Theater as it was the only area open. I could say that I have some thoughts about it, I'm still dreaming about it. I was really happy to scout the Carthay Circle Theater when I arrive at the parks and was mesmerized after discovering it but the first thing that awed me was the fountain. I was captured by the romance of the water and the fountain as it sets the stage for the Carthay Theater. The tile work, fine embellishments, the paint and colors chosen for the fountain, the sounds that graced with 20's/30's music from its seeming less speakers combined with the sound of the calm water, were among the beautiful and very well combined details that led as the centerpiece of DCA. I really believed that I was transported to an old still shot, but with sound and color, I even felt underdressed for this presence ☺. The sound of the fountain was my favorite, it was soothing and it made everything feel real– almost like being pinched to reality. Finally, as I walked around the fountain and stood in between the theater and fountain, the entire scene made sense. I looked up at the tall theater, I noticed the trolley tracks in my periphery and listened to the beautiful fountain and my mind was blown away.. it filled me with emotion and almost instant (sweet) tears. I really took in the most of that moment and appreciated it. It was an organic and unique experience because it all symbolizes what we believe as Mouse Waiters, and more meaningfully, what I believed since I was child... Magic is real, dreams do come true and never stop believing. At last I realized that I was looking at a monument, the (original) Carthay Theater in 1937during it's hay days when its glowing lights lit up for "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". It may be silly to say but the world wouldn't be the same without that moment... though here we are getting a precious piece of the monumental day, we wouldn't of been here with out it. I absolutely fell in love with Carthay Circle Theater and I do believe that Disney California Adventure is home now, I can't wait to see the rest! - gigibunny2

I was completely mesmerized! I felt like I'd waited forever to see it. And it just so happened that I had o have surgery just 2 days before the opening. I couldn't stay away! My husband and daughter took me and rolled me through in a wheelchair. First up, I need photos of MWers throwing up the MW sign! These are REALLY important. They're for an awesome page and I want as many as possible. They need to be clear, from the waist up, and preferably in the Parks with a noticeable landmark behind you. Sorry, doing it on rides doesn't really work because the photos don't enlarge well. I am watching Obama honoring the teacher of the year! Teachers are so important and it's so sad that we often only hear about those that are doing wrong. There are so many doing the right thing, it's not easy being a teacher and some do it with so much grace, honor, and passion. I believe teachers need to be paid their worth! We need to stop cutting funding for school programs. They also need stricter criteria for becoming a teacher. That being said, here are bad people everywhere. Some can work the system so well and fool people. - KissDclown 1088.4 #77 4-24-12 7:35AM

This breaks my heart. It's just one of the many things that make up the current crisis in education. My parents, along with other family members have been teachers, and I work in education, and have seen things get worse over the years. To see bright, compassionate teachers get pink slips while those that don't care remain just ticks me off! I understand the need for tenure, protection and gratitude for serving, but not everyone deserves it. I admire the good teachers so much...to still accomplish the goal of education amidst the turmoil. - Gia

Please don't attack me, but could somebody explain the positives behind tenure? I mean, no other professions really have it... Why should a teacher be able to keep their job if they're bad at it? I love the awesome teachers out there, but surely even they are miffed at some of their coworkers receiving equal treatment for bad work. I agree with kiss... Pay what they're worth. Omg Gia I agree!! I honestly can't look at teachers who can't get rid of that need to go with any respect anymore! Seeing SO many GOOD dedicated, loving teachers get pink slipped and still have these lemons breaks my heart! Tenure started to protect the teacher from a principal who doesn't like you. Too many times a principal could fire you just because they personally don't like you. I know everyone knows me and knows I'm a good person but if my ex Ass. Principal had it her way, she would have found any reason to fire, JUST because she didn't like me. She never came in and observed, never knew me prior to her coming to my school and simply didn't like me. #MW Magazine! Hello vinylmation and pin traders/collectors/lovers! For the magazine, I have two pages dedicated to these wonderful little addictions. However, I need some content from you folk! For the vinylmation page, I need information More...
I agree with Cali. A vinyl 101 would be a great way to start. When you are new to collecting you don't realize the ins and outs of the hobby. Some tips on how to know when you're swimming with sharks could be helpful. I think a calendar of upcoming releases would also be a cool feature. Perhaps there could even be a section for some MWers to display their custom work. I have seen some cool customs done by some very creative people here on MW. I would assume if it isn't the centerfold of the mag already, Vinylmation Theatre should definitely be represented somewhere. I've only been collecting for a year so I know you can find much wiser traders than myself. However feel free to contact me if I can help out MW in anyway. - AgentP
