Photos are difficult to get, but not impossible. Hoards of fangirls sort of ruined that magic, as they'd rush to their exit, near Stage 17, and expect photos between every set. The band's 35 minute breaks were whittled down to less than 15 minute breaks. That's not good for anyone. I would suggest going after the first set and waiting politely. No guarantees, though. Their stage managers are quick to rush them backstage for their breaks. - susieQzee480.9 #247 5-20-13 10:07PMLike Reply

I learned something today, not sure if it's true. Can someone please verify. In DCA on the bridge to Pacific Warf area, I heard that that bridge constantly shakes to simulate a 2.0 rickter scale earthquake. Is that true?
And here I thought that shaking was from drinking one too many margaritas. - wickedlyraven. 280.6 #729 5-10-13 1:14PMLike(1) Reply

Hi! I've actually done TurboJam, Chalean xtreme, and insanity. For each of these workouts I've actually gained weight IN THE BEGINNING, and I lost 8 lbs after (so far in Insanity) Stick with it! You will eventually see the weight go down. My advice to you is to take your measurements and NOT look at the scale. The scale can be your enemy at times because it can't differentiate between muscle and fat. There are times when you gain weight, but actually get smaller! don't look at the scale! Went in January , my oldest mini (13) liked the food okay. My youngest (7) didn't eat anything . Not even the muffins ... We just got him some chicken nuggets when we left there. Both my kids enjoyed being in there and looking around - eviljules281.2 #725 2-27-13 7:37AMLike Reply
Do they not have a kid's menu there? Eeek! I just made reservations for us to go in April. My 7 year old is super picky! - meridafan 1037.2 #83 2-27-13 11:10AM
My 7 year old is picky also, I don't recall their being a child's menu. There were other kids in the restaurant being "kids" and we noticed adults asking to sit in another room , because I think they wanted a different atmosphere /experience . My son was patient and just drank the apple juice they brought him, and was content playing with my phone and talking to us. It's beautiful and I think you should go , just pack your youngest a banana in your purse :) lol and get them something they will eat after. Or feed your mini before and they can have juice and dessert with you :) but definitely go - eviljules 281.2 #725 2-27-13 2:27PM
We went with our pickiest eater and they were able to make him a fancy mac and cheese that is off the menu. The only downside is that your kids might get bored while waiting for food, so bring a leappad or let them play with your phone. Set aside an hour and half for this dining experince. - karshla68.7 #3435 2-27-13 8:19AMLike Reply
My kid is picky, but they are willing to make their mac n cheese with butter, cheese sauce, or alfredo sauce so I always know she will like something there. - madsdad1129.8 #72 2-27-13 2:40PMLike Reply
I have a 4 and 5 yr old and decided to do a date night there without them. They won't be as busy as Christmas time but thousands of others have the same idea as you. How about getting the kids to "earn" a Disney Day by doing extra credit and get ahead in school. Have them get their assignments ahead of time so you can take them during school time. - MyPark944.4 #91 11-21-12 10:24AMLike Reply
My son I'm not worried about, he starts kindergarden in the fall. I'll have to ask her teacher about getting homework early so she can get in turned in before we go. - GoofyMom77 108.9 #2923 11-21-12 10:46AM
As a teacher all I'm going to say is that it depends in the student. If you get the work ahead of time, make sure to get it done. It's not always easy to get all the work ready early and it can be frustrating for the student to not make an attempt at all. - LilSterner 2656.0 #18 11-21-12 11:42AM

My daughter is in 8th and I still take her out for one week every year so we can have a full week of DL :). She must keep her grades up all year and all her teachers have to okay it. She gets the work a week ahead of time and gets it done :). We always go Presidents weekend and then stay thru the following weekend.. The crowds aren't bad at all for a holiday, and the rest of the trip is wonderful! - hatgal76202.7 #1590 11-21-12 11:31AMLike Reply
It all depends on the teacher. Some teacher's actually give out the hw on a schedule so if your child can get ahead and earn the day do it. But sometimes the best time to go is right after state testing. Some classes have to do it while others don't but most stay on the scheduled for testing. So if your child doesn't have a test one day that is the best time to take them. - dnerd293.8 #646 11-21-12 12:49PMLike Reply
