Newly refurbished and redesigned Gibson Girl!!
Hey guys I'm actually a CM who works main street quick service restaraunts! Unfortunately they won't be bringing back the glass elephant (Lucy) :( And as far as new menu items and changes, we now have 3 great ice cream floats. Coke floats, fanta orange, and of course root beer floats. These come with 2 scoops! No more carmel topping which means no more main street mocha sundae. And also no more chocolate chip. In addition two registers were added and 2 more scooping stations so that dreadful line should go by much quicker! :) if you can I highly suggest going in today! If I remember correctly, the horse are only allowed to work 3 hrs per day. On hot days, the changing is more frequent. I wish more companies that utilize horses in this manner would do this! - Gia  793.9 #122 4-24-12 12:54PM
Yep it's every 3 or 4. They're trailered in for their day in the morning, and there is a holding area for them backstage. They'll take them out early if they're having problems. We got to see one of the newer horses a few years back and talk with the folks in Frontierland about them. Training, housing, etc is a complex process for these guys, and they retire them fairly young. They're all really great horses. - ThatKimberly  335.5 #462 4-24-12 1:02PM

Live!! Not sure if this has been said, but you are no longer allowed to pet the horses on main street. But they have a horse everyday from 12-2 and 4-6 in the Big Thunder Ranch Petting Farm by BTMRR.

I am a fifth grade teacher and have taught for 26 years. I see that kids who get an allowance and are taught to save, really have a better sense of money. Just giving them things all the time feeds into the me generation and wanting things you can't afford. By saving they learn to prioritize their needs and wants, which is a valuable thing in today's society. My own children recieved an allowance for doing things for me, and if they did the same task for a neighbor or family member the dollar value was doubled. You're going to LOVE it!!! We went in '05 out of Florida. The best cruise we've ever been on. When we were heading out, all the local businesses were waving goodbye to the ship with big Mickey gloves on. I almost cried! Had a fireworks show/pirate party one night at sea. Handed out pirate style hats for everyone. Only cruiseline (at the time anyway) allowed to have a firework show at sea. We want to go on one in a year or 2.
