It is such a gloriously low crowd day at Disneyland... And what do my kids want to do? Go swimming! 60 degrees... yes, I even did the waterside.
Smart kids...they pretty much have the pools to themselves!! - Linzee515.3 #227 2-5-13 4:10PMLike Reply
We really did- hats off to the awesome Lifegaurd CMs. They were so friendly and vigilant! They water actually is warm and the hot tub even better 😊 - MoonWillow 367.4 #378 2-5-13 4:14PM
I've never been up there. It's alway been busy and with a 2 year old lagging behind and taking her sweet time we never took the time to go up! I will Defineatly be taking the time when we take our alone trip in oct! - Disneymomab15.1 #5651 2-5-13 2:19PMLike Reply
The kids love it- my 3 year old's choice. It's hard with little people until they are adept at stairs! Then it's just hard on the adults 😜 - MoonWillow 367.4 #378 2-5-13 3:59PM
the new cars are tiny inside and and make me old. I can barely fit in them and its so bumpy. But its a ride we never pass up. My 4 year old feels like such a big boy on this ride. Have fun! - pinkmonkeys319.6 #519 2-5-13 9:53AMLike Reply

Live: Retrieving the Colors for the evening. Have a great night everyone!
Sorry pet peeve- that would be retrieving the colors. Retiring a flag is burning it after it has flown, served its time and been tattered and torn. A common mistake and i dont intend to sound snarkey but in this case it is proper. :-) love the pic - DlandDude259.7 #910 1-18-13 5:56PMLike(2) Reply
I stand corrected- I have always heard it that way. - MoonWillow 367.4 #378 1-18-13 8:21PM
you don't sound snarkey. You are correct. - MyPark 943.7 #91 1-18-13 8:44PM
I happened to be walking down Main St the other day during this, and I was so moved by how almost everyone on Main St stopped in their tracks to put their hands over their hearts for the star spangled banner. Right in the middle of Disneyland- so neat. - DsnyPrincessMom36.9 #4099 1-18-13 9:26PMLike Reply

Finally, FINALLY! She rode Splash with me! She required that I 1) Hold her, 2) wear flip flops so her shoes didn't get wet, and 3) we BOTH had to wear ponchos. Oh the things we do for our kids- but she did like it!

Hey everyone- bringing the family to DL on Friday after a much-to-long month break. Schedule says closing is at 8. Anyone know if there is a special reason for that?
Thanks @ HiddenMinnie. You could be right. And yes, we plan to CLOSE IT DOWN Friday! The Little Man is getting his first Annual Pass and going to the parks with NO STROLLER. Both kids will see the fireworks for the first time if all goes well! - MoonWillow367.4 #378 1-24-12 9:53AMLike Reply
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but purchasing a souvenir cup does not mean you can get cheaper drink/soda refills if you bring it in the park on a on subsequent park visits, right? I know places like Pizza Port you can get soda refills More...

Nope, and it's one of the dumbest things that Disney decided on, in my opinion. You'd think with Disney trying to promote being eco-friendly and all, they would welcome reusable cups and straws. :P - flukefan266.4 #860 11-11-11 7:17PMLike(2) Reply
I was told by a CM last week that the Pizza Port refills are good only with the receipt and now you can only refill one time and on the time of visit. I guess they are cracking down on this because when I got my refill she wrote a 0 with a line threw where the coke was rang up. - Jessss 330.9 #468 11-11-11 7:36PM
I know plaza inn allows refills. - bluefairy 627.0 #174 11-11-11 7:47PM

I'm sorry they were disappointed but they should have done some research too. We drive from Phoenix when we come but I plan ahead. I research school schedules and peak times at the park. We have special needs kids so I take everything into consideration. I know not everyone can pick when their vacation time is but you certainly can be prepared for what may lie ahead.
