I just wanted to share our trip to Ariel's Grotto. Princess interaction was great! Food was pricy, but very good. If you have a princess loving child I would definitely recommend the character lunch/dinner at Ariel's Grotto.

Hi everyone. Is Napa Rose appropriate for a sometimes active 4 year old, or is it more of a quiet adults only atmosphere? I've been dying to go, but it's hard to get a sitter sometimes.
My girls are 2&6 and are well behaved. However, there are places that I still don't take them for dinner. Even well-behaved kids have their moments and after a day at the parks I never know what I'm going to get from my 2 year old. I'm like you. I rarely get a babysitter. But that makes those times/ places that are just for my husband and I even more special. Another thing I can say is that wherever we are eating(I don't care if it's Red Robin)if my child does have any kind of a meltdown, we leave. MY child equals MY ruined dinner... Never someone else's. - RCmom2588.5 #20 2-22-12 2:47PMLike(16) Reply

No, if you have little ones I would sit in the lounge, there is plenty of room in there, not as formal and you can get the same food. The dining room there really isn't a place for a toddler - Dave 8633.4 #2 2-22-12 1:08PMLike(10) Reply

Cyndelgrace: yours don't poop rainbows? ;) j/k! I'm actually always a little nervous when we go out to eat with our 1 year old, we are constantly trying to keep him distracted/occupied so he doesn't have a melt down. Once he does have a melt down, either myself or my husband take turns taking him outside while the other eats. I think the Napa Rose is too fancy to take our son, I would be sweatin the whole time lol! - kss4tink216.8 #1393 2-22-12 7:55PMLike Reply
Completely disagree. Children are NOT suppose to be loud and make noises and carry on all they want to. I never, ever let my son act like a fool in public. It's my job to parent him, and I do. Allowing your kids to carry on as much they want to, and say the other people can just move is ridiculous, selfish and not very intelligent. It also shows how incredibly lazy of a parent you are. This really gets me going. I'm so sick of misbehaved children everywhere I go, because this generation of children's parents feel that negotiating and asking your child how they want to be is acceptable. 😡😡 - DisneyFanZoe1096.7 #75 2-22-12 8:07PMLike Reply

Thanks. That's A great idea. I think we're still going to go tonight, so we'll check it out and if it's too packed there's always next time :) - Nicole380.2 #355 6-9-10 10:41AMLike Reply
if the kids are night owls, it's really best to grab seats right after the fireworks finish cuz that's when all the 9:00 fastasmic people leave...then you only have to wait about 40 minutes. - Jessica325.7 #497 6-9-10 10:44AMLike Reply

Ok probably a dumb question but, do they stop letting in people if crowds get too large? I'm planning on going tonight around 6 and with it being fantasmics return I was wondering if we'd be turned away??
Yes they do but you will be fine tonight. Only MAJOR holidays or very special events get that busy - Yeti_Man476.1 #250 5-28-10 12:26PMLike Reply

As long as you keep on top of it it shouldn't take long. I think it toon mine 4 months or so. - BlueberryCrusader650.7 #161 5-27-10 3:54PMLike Reply
It seemed like my daughter would never get it....it took her more like 6 months not to have accidents at night. ::sigh:: but just be patient and it'll happen. - Duchess_SMK3254.1 #11 5-27-10 4:03PMLike Reply
Yeah @Wife, my niece has the same issue with pooping! She 3, and she's got the peeing part down for a while now, but she has had a really hard time pooping. Same thing happened, she held it in for so long, that she started hurting. But it was no diaper for her. So he eventually went. - Amanda120.4 #2729 5-27-10 8:20PMLike Reply

I did the same thing for my bridesmaids @kelbelle. Too many different body types and I just didn't think it was fair for them to all wear the same cut. Same color diff styles and it still looked good! - CravingDisney150.1 #2289 5-16-10 6:47PMLike Reply

Anyone know how crazy/busy the parks get once summer hits? Weekdays mainly. Is it like how spring break was?
Yup. As bad as spring break. Or worse. Last year the line for pirates backed up from the entrance of pirates all the way down to haunted mansion and back to the entrance. - BlueberryCrusader650.7 #161 5-12-10 10:19AMLike Reply
The lines are long; the park is crowded; the weather is unbearable ... but it's Disneyland, and at the end of the day it makes everything worth it. - Mr. Boops8.3 #7422 5-12-10 10:24AMLike Reply
So today we went thru mickeys house and u know how at the end u can either exit or wait for autographs? I've never waited cause it looks so long. The waiting are was pretty full anyone know roughly how long it takes when the room is full?
Well, I've only been in there twice. First time we just went right in to the cinema room, and waited about a half hour-ish. Last time, it was an awful experience. The line went all the way past the kitchen in his house! We stood there (for my 15 yr old sister) for over an hour and a half. It was torture!!! Bratty kids ALL over the place, and a couple teenage girls breathing down our necks. - Amanda120.4 #2729 5-11-10 4:21PMLike Reply
It's like Pixie Hollow. Our "15" minute wait was 45 minutes. We did it ONCE, and never again. - HiddenMickeys216.4 #1396 5-11-10 4:36PMLike Reply

Behavior serves three basic functions: trying to get something/seeking attention, trying to escape something, or seeking sensory input. Does she like the daycare center, or does she act out so that she gets to leave? - Nov18192839.1 #4018 5-5-10 7:37PMLike Reply

Does anyone have a chevy equinox? My lease on my trailblazer ss is up next month and I need to figure out what to get! I love the ss, but it gets horrible gas mileage. Want to stick with an suv for the kiddo and dog :)
