Lovely rak! Please add me. Thanks! I love that this app allows me to feel the Disney magic wherever I am. Such a wonderful thing!
Please add me what I love about this app is the support and love I got from some perfect strangers who are now all like family to me. It's so overwhelming all the love and support I'm getting especially after my kidney transplant, and not being able to go and people sending me get well cards and gifts (and some who don't even know me) and all the pics is helping me recover and mentally and physically feel better. You all are amazing and I luv u all. Thanks hmacif this rak is too cool! If I win I will be re-raking everything except the vinyl (that one I'd like to keep) but I'd like to keep ur cool rak going. - mickeyat345.1 #436 6-9-13 12:42PMLike(3) Reply

I had no idea. And I think Disney is always looking for ways to help the environment and look to the future (plug for their vision of Tomorrowland). I also find it interesting that they are using future technology to fuel the old trains. Thank you SMK for this interesting Disney History!! - MyPark946.4 #94 4-16-13 7:36AMLike Reply
Thank YOU! Yes, I agree, setting a great example! - Duchess_SMK 3548.0 #10 4-16-13 8:43AM
Good Morning. Yes very impressed by this. The California State Railroad Museum uses a similar program to lessen the environmental impact of the Steam Locomotives that they operate. ( yes a shameless plug). Great research Thanks - Tealtownfan701.8 #145 4-16-13 7:38AMLike Reply
Oooh! I wasn't aware of this! That is quite impressive as well Teal! Thank YOU for sharing that! - Duchess_SMK 3548.0 #10 4-16-13 9:47AM
Great info. One of my good friends who is an engineer on the DLRR says doing this costs Disney more money than it saves. It costs more to collect the cooking oil, sent it offsite to be refined and then ship it back than it would be to dispose of the cooking oil and buy diesel fuel. - ckholliday199.0 #1686 4-16-13 9:25PMLike Reply
As a Northwesterner who has felt the lack of good coffee in the resort for years, I'm excited! And judging from the long lines at Starbucks in DCA this weekend, many other people will be as well. - PrincessKristin776.9 #125 4-8-13 11:28PMLike(3) Reply

This makes me sad. No Market House this weekend for this old lady. The refills kept me moving through the night. Guess I have to find another pick me up lol - IHEARTSIMBA50373.4 #378 4-9-13 1:58AMLike Reply
Disneyland hotel. Beds are more comfortable, rooms are more fun, and you will save a little money.
They are both great. Its a hard choice. I like the grand a little better because of the balcony in the room and the short walking distance but sharirenee makes a great point. Be sure to let the cms know its your anniversary when you book your room, they usually do something extra for special occasions. - Twitterpated233.7 #1212 4-1-13 11:23AMLike(1) Reply
Especially for no-kiddo getaway, no doubt about it - The Grand. - mouseprincess307.9 #585 4-1-13 10:26AMLike Reply
Depends on what you're looking for. The decor of the rooms in the Grand is rather plain to me, it's like many other such hotels, but maybe you like hanging out on the balcony in the morning and proximity to the parks. If you get a park view room, you might be able to watch WOC. You could also book services at the mandara spa for some pampering. Disneyland hotel is special for it's disney magic. The headboard and the pool are fantastic. View-wise, you might be able to see the fireworks, I think. - bluefairy628.9 #175 4-1-13 1:32PMLike Reply
Thank you for all of the ideas. After doing some reading we are also going to throw in Paradise Pier into the mix. We want the magic of disney in our stay but also throw in some extra little things. - Mickey_Badge242.5 #1102 4-1-13 1:48PMLike Reply
I've never been in a regular guestroom at pp, only the suites, so I can't comment on the room itself. However, nice views of dca (and WOC). You can walk across the street through the grand to get to dtd and the parks. - bluefairy 628.9 #175 4-1-13 2:12PM
That's not much of a break! After homework will be much more fun though.

Take your time. Make sure you use the baby care center. It will help a lot. You might also want to go back to the hotel after lunch for a quick nap and down time to refresh so you can get through the rest of the day. - rachelelizabeth147.7 #2365 3-26-13 8:56AMLike(1) Reply
Stroller naps! Try to get fast passes for the grown up rides timed so that each parent can do a walk on while child is napping. You can double dip with rides that have that babysit pass thingy. - InnerSpaceman20.5 #5096 3-27-13 1:41PMLike Reply
The babysit pass thingy InnerSpaceman is talking about is called a rider swap pass or baby swap pass. - letsrckthis 161.5 #2172 3-27-13 1:50PM

I am new! I haven't been to Disneyland in 19 yrs. I can't wait. We will be down there on Monday! It will be my 9 yr old son's first time. Our family will be wearing cool Star Wars/Disney mash up shirts. Lots of memories for me, can't wait to share them with my boy. Probably depends on the child, too. We didn't have a problem with that plastic shield. The tiaras do get heavy and annoying to wear, too. We just took the tiara off. Actually, she had two of them on! The Merida one, plus a small generic one behind that. So we removed the Merida one after a little while. She was good after that, but definitely wanted her hair down before we went for dinner that night. Which was fine. It isn't always comfortable to be a beautiful princess! But gosh darn, somebody's got to do it! - meridafan1099.7 #74 4-25-13 10:45AMLike(1) Reply

Thank you so much for the review! I want my 5yr old to do this but I'm not thrilled with the hairstyle choices. I know she won't like the tight bun thing and I don't think she will like that clip with the hair on it. I wish they would just curl their own hair. - KyandGaMom164.4 #2133 4-25-13 10:20AMLike Reply
I agree...my 5 year old has a super sensitive head. She'd scream bloody murder if they tried that tight bun! ;) - MissMolly 705.7 #144 4-25-13 10:43AM
My daughter screams all the time when I brush her hair, even now at 7 years old. She did this when she was 4 and had no problems. The FGIT are really good with the girls and it's such a magical experience, they forget about their hair being pulled up. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper 346.0 #434 4-25-13 10:59AM
