Has there been any recent updates on the avatar land being built in AK?
Just planning my next trip to WDW and just remembered they are building this.

Hey MW, is there a Disney resort you recommend to stay in. We stayed in POR in earlier this month and loved it but it was too big. Is there any resorts that are a mud to stay in?

Hey we go in 6 days and I'm getting the final bits together for our trip. We are staying for two weeks my only concern is running out of money. Is it expensive to shop and buy snacks on site? We have the Disney dining plan so sit down meals are covered but snacking through the day may become expensive. So is it expensive?
Like the others said, you'll be surprised at the amount of food you get at meals we used some snack credits on water and had some left over. Of course that was before I heard of Dole Whips, the bakery, the candy apples and other goodies MWers have shown me here. Maybe I need more money!! Lol - lala03

Depending on what ddp you got , they include snacks and you will be surprised at how much food you get with ddp we sometimes feel like we had too much lol as far as shopping that just depends on what you want I find that there is a lot that is affordable just depends what your looking to buy , no matter what you will have a blast:) - tracsant

In Epcot go to Germany caramel shop or France to the bakery. Everything under $4 is on the DP. Most of the time on the menus it will have a little DP next to it. Enjoy!!! - mzdisnee

If you look on the MW dashboard, you'll see "Disney calendar" and it shows park hours plus ride closures. It's still showing the refurb through 11/30 but dlmickeymousecm posted a while back that the refurb had suffered some possible setbacks so who knows if the schedule will remain accurate. - Jalex239

Me and my girlfriend are staying at the port Orleans riverside whilst at WDW in 99!!!!!! Days. What are your views on the resort and is there an area of the resort that we should request to stay in :).
We are TRYING to organise a Plan for our two week visit to WDW, how many days do we need put aside to cover each Disney park?
You really can't explore magic kingdom in the park I feel in 1 day So if your up to 2 days for that and maybe 2 for Epcot. Maybe 1 for all the others. I say 2 for Epcot so u can explore the countries. But u can't truly explore them all in that ishort time. If u can do more do it so you don't feel rush. At least 2 each. - 5disneylovers

I recommend hopper passes, so you can be flexible with your itinerary. I usually visit Epcot at least three separate days, Magic Kingdom & Hollywood Studios at least two separate days each, and I set aside the majority of one full day for Animal Kingdom. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

I second hopper passes! something we nvr have time for in 6 days is DTD..so def make a day for there.. AK would b nice for 2 days bcuz i nvr have time for rafiki's planet watch and would like to see the animal hospital there. - Polynesiangirl

Hi im new to mousewait and after reading through post after post ive finally decided to join. Me and my girlfriend are going to WDW in October for two weeks. I have been before with my family when I was younger but this is my girlfriends first visit to Orlando and I want to make it a memorable one. We are staying at the port orleans riverside and we are really looking forward to being immersed in all things disney. Is there anything you Disney addicts recommend we do in order to make this trip of a lifetime extra special?

Welcome to MouseWait! Oh there are so many thins you can do! Since your going in October do mickeys not scary Halloween party, and a special food and wine festival tour or event would be great! Also there is the fireworks dessert party at mk, and a reserved viewing of fantastic with a meal and I think you can also get just desserts. Also you can order some special things to get sent to your room from Disney floral and gifts, they have a ton of things to make the trip special there! And what everyone else's said is also great!
