Do they only do the celebration of magic light projection on the castle at the Christmas party or every night now?
I don't know the answer, this will be our first time with the Christmas party.  In theory, the crowds should be smaller than a regular day.  There are multiple cookie and cocoa stations, all you can choke down.  Christmas parade and fireworks, rare character meet and greets (Like the seven dwarfs), and the Christmas vibe is turned up.  There are a handful of youtube videos on the party  itself, and a bunch on the fireworks and parade and castle stage show. - GoofyMom77  639.8 #265 10:39AM
Thanks! - DizneyGirl  671.3 #7 11:45AM
I have no cons! I loved every minuet of it. The stage show , parade, cookies and cocoa, snow on Main Street all was amazing to me. - mmddgp  472.3 #15 10:43AM

I just hope that when I go in November they are a different design I already have 2 of the current ones. Failing that il have to buy a Christmas themed mug or a Halloween one. A tad annoying x
Ha ha I know what you mean. I know they did not last year. - 5disneylovers  928.5 #4 5:31AM
Our 2012 and 2013 ones were different. Different lid colors too. - MicheyMouse  337.3 #635 6:36AM
I feel ya. We got the same design for 2012 and 2013. Only thing I noticed different were the lid colors. I was disappointed I like getting different mug styles. - Lelundrial  478.4 #386 7:28AM
Me too! I don't mind paying for them if they are different but we went 4 x last year and one of those were with the kids so I have 14 mugs with the same design😒 - mmddgp  472.3 #15 7:45AM
That was for 2013 then add 2012 -- oh my goodness. I wish the would devise a drink tab to add to a mug you bring or buy from the parks - mmddgp  472.3 #15 7:50AM

The hotel is fantastic, we stayed there in 2012 and you are surrounded by beauty. The grounds immaculate, the food courts great and the service is typical Disney. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough.
Don't over plan and read every do and don't. Just have an idea of what you want to achieve on you holiday and make that your number 1 priority. For every else and any questions please don't hesitate to ask and we will proudly help you. But have fun as countdown begins - puddy77  222.8 #1585 11:25PM

There have been many bad reviews of things we've tried at DW and I'm almost never disappointed! We stayed at POR (Royal room) in December 2012, and enjoyed our experience very much! - mrsincredible  922.7 #5 11:35AM
We love POR!!! It's a great resort with a lot of activities to choose from. The Riverside Mill is a great quick service restaurant with a lot of food choices. (They offer items in stations, so it's like a mini food court.). My only warning is that it is a huge resort! Take comfy shoes! πŸ˜‰ - BagGal  229.1 #31 11:57AM

How funny. I have a small issue with meat on the bone, but at the Flame Tree, it really bothered me even more. I think it was because I had spent all morning appreciating animals, and felt so guilty eating one. 😳😁 without bones, I can distance myself from thinking about the actual animal. - ally  509.2 #11 11:39AM

So does this mean you can catch a bus to Epcot and the other parks from the resort or do you have to transfer?
Never stayed there we've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, best I can recall there is a bus and a boat that runs to MK. - DonaldfiveO  28.6 #125 5:43AM
I believe at the campground you ride an internal bus to the bus stop that then takes you to the parks. I'm pretty sure there is a water taxi that takes you to MK. - DizneyGirl  671.3 #7 6:12AM
Yeah like DG said. There's an internal bus at the resort and camp area (only one at WDW which does this). That will take you to the lodge or the Outpost by hoop de doo and from there you can grab a ferry. Give yourself about 30-45 extra minutes because of the process. - IndyandMarion  1265.4 #1 6:37AM

If your wanting a break from the traditional Disney entertainment, I'd recommend raglan road in downtown Disney, very good food and great music
Ohana is really good , boma, be our guest , chef de France , all extremely good places to dine and in great locations:) - tracsant  1034.1 #2 6:15AM

Indy will it still be limited on 12/4? We have BOG ressies that night. - mrsincredible  922.7 #5 3:10PM
It's after the previews are done so I'd assume they'd just have it open during regular park hours. The grand opening day is when it'll have limited hours, if open at all to regular park guests. - IndyandMarion  1265.4 #1 4:22PM
Why don't they just open the darn thing. Enough already with the soft opening. - 5disneylovers  928.5 #4 3:51PM
Would you rather have them use time with it running so they can pinpoint problems (which they're all ready having, looking at you Clams) before the grand opening? Or just open it without testing and making sure it's up to speed and actually ready for people? - IndyandMarion  1265.4 #1 4:21PM
I don't know The soft openings are short periods if time how can they truly fix or identify all the problems. If its up and running more of a chance to catch it - 5disneylovers  928.5 #4 4:24PM
They will get it right soon & then stay open !!! - skcanfield  475.3 #13 4:24PM

So what food will come under snacks then?. I imagine that will include ice creams or lollies of some sort
Like the others said, you'll be surprised at the amount of food you get at meals we used some snack credits on water and had some left over. Of course that was before I heard of Dole Whips, the bakery, the candy apples and other goodies MWers have shown me here. Maybe I need more money!! Lol - lala03  67.6 #80 11:19AM
Depending on what ddp you got , they include snacks and you will be surprised at how much food you get with ddp we sometimes feel like we had too much lol as far as shopping that just depends on what you want I find that there is a lot that is affordable just depends what your looking to buy , no matter what you will have a blast:) - tracsant  1034.1 #2 10:29AM

Graham crackers pop corn. I forget. - 5disneylovers  928.5 #4 4:33PM

It's most things that are under $4... pretzels, dole whips, chocolate bananas, etc, etc. - BagGal  229.1 #31 4:44PM
There is so much. We have used it for smoothies frozen coffee drinks fruit veggies and dip cakes cookies icecream sundays bags of chips candy pretzels both baged and soft hot pretzels. We try and stay away from using it for pop at parks an use it for an actual snack or treat but sometimes you are just so full with food you need to use it in your drinks - mmddgp  472.3 #15 4:47PM
Dole whips! Candy, cookies, fruit, drinks, cupcakes and bunch of other yummy stuff! - nodell111  166.4 #49 7:20PM
In Epcot go to Germany caramel shop or France to the bakery. Everything under $4 is on the DP. Most of the time on the menus it will have a little DP next to it. Enjoy!!! - mzdisnee  477.3 #12 5:22PM

If you look on the MW dashboard, you'll see "Disney calendar" and it shows park hours plus ride closures. It's still showing the refurb through 11/30 but dlmickeymousecm posted a while back that the refurb had suffered some possible setbacks so who knows if the schedule will remain accurate. - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #18 1:12PM
