I always have a magical time when I am there. We are going with friends who have never been so we have to show them the ropes. I am so excited that I only have to wait until July and then 5 months later my second trip this year. Yea!!!!! U can tell how excited I am. Everyone tells me I should have stock in Disney.

In 2011 Free Dining was announced on 8/24/11 expiring on 10/29/11 for dates 10/1/11 thru 12/15/11. Free Dining was announced on 8/3/11 expiring on 10/29/11 for dates 10/2/11 thru 12/17/11.

I have decided that next time I go to WDW I'm going to take the room discount instead of free dining. I love to eat but it just takes too much time. And I don't usually have but 6 days in the parks. I can't afford to stay 2 or 3 wks. I will have a couple of table service meals but mostly fast food & snacks will be fine. I don't like to follow a strict schedule. I've been to WDW 25 times so i've done almost every thing and eaten at almost all the restaurants. I know many of you have been a lot more than that. I've stayed at all but a few resorts. So next time I'm going to just try to be spontaneous. Now if I can just stick to this plan the closet it gets. - lghr

We went last year for the first time during the Christmas holidays and it was not bad. We only had one day when it was crowded. It is still the prettiest time to go. If u are not in the Christmas spirit when u are there something is wrong.
They reach capacity at Christmas on most days, very crowded. May even be worse or just as crowded as Spring Break. - mrsincredible

I've been there a few times for Christmas we used to go every year on Christmas the crowds aren't too terrible it is definitely busy though but with all the lights and things to see its worth walking between a few extra people. I've never seen it hit capacity at those times I was there. So not as bad as spring break - mickeym0use

I think over planning everything is to hard and unpredicatable so i just go with flow and do what you can when you can and ask the kids what attraction do they want to see the most and make it a priority and let the rest sort it self out otherwise you wil come home dissapointed instead of being shocked and amazed by what disney has to offer. - puddy77

Im going against what everyone is saying and suggesting that you SKIP the Very Merry Christmas Party. EPCOT's Holidays Around the World is great (And the Christmas tag for IllumiNATIONS blows even Holiday Wishes at MK out of the water, which is difficult on its own to do). Certainly stop by the Grand Floridian to see the Gingerbread Houses. And end the tour at the Studios for the Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights. - IndyandMarion

I really love everything about Christmas!! I do like the VMCP. Go to Epcot and see the world!! Candlelight processional is great! and go to diffent hotels and ck them out to see the different gingerbread houses. and do go see the lights at HS, - Scothran

I'm not a fan of POR... I'm a POFQ fan! Contrary to what everyone said, I find POR loud, loud, loud! Anytime POFQ shared a bus with POR the guests were so loud! I never had that problem with POFQ. I've the same experience in the POR food court, loud! The bus service is much better at POFQ too. On shared buses they are always the first stop. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

I've stayed at both sides and llke them both. They are both peaceful and pretty. The FQ side is smaller and easier to walk to everything, but the Riverside has a nice bar/lounge area and table seating restaurant. - ally

We love POR! We love the grounds, love the activities, love the food court. The only drawback is that it's HUGE, so you have to do a lot of walking from one place to another. Buses come quickly, but if your room isn't near one of the stops, it's kind of a pain. I'd pay the extra to stay in a preferred room which would be closer to the bus and food. I hope you enjoy it. We've stayed there twice and enjoyed it both times! - BagGal

I think it's a good choice for us, we have a rental car so bus stops aren't an issue, even if we end up taking the bus, were already doing so much walking around the parks I'm sure the extra 20 mins a day won't matter!
