Good morning. For all who have been to fl in nov. What is the weather like I have to start packing (so what if it's early ). I need to make sure I have stuff lol
We have been the last week of November, and I'm planning to pack a few jeans and hoodies for night-time, capris and t-shirts for day-time, flip flops and tennis shoes. Don't forget to pack all your running stuff in your carry-on. - mrsincredible  806.4 #5 4:44AM
I'm waiting to see the 10 day forecast before I finalize my packing. But, based in last year, you have to be ready for anything. We had hot and humid days, cool and windy days, warm nights, lots of rain, and even bitter cold, all within a week or so! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 5:39AM
Yup even toward the ending of November had rain, not every day. Nights started to get much cooler. - islandgirl58  255.8 #26 11:12AM
Oh boy. I'm not thrilled to hear this. Pack a little of everything. I pray it's warm. I can't leave cold for cold weather lol - 5disneylovers  855.9 #4 5:17PM

I'm getting anxious to start packing for Dec. ! In 2008, when we went in Nov. It was about 60 with a light wind the whole time. Wore a jacket the whole time. And no sun but no rain!! I liked it that way. Then in 2011 in Nov , it was hot the whole week but no rain!!! Never needed a jacket even at night. So you just never know. - lghr  38.1 #106 4:47AM

What's the route like for wine and dine ? Are the lots of hills today I ran a few hills for practice now my legs are unbelievable sore. Putty like Even. Oh yeah one more thing. Guess who ran 11miles in 3 hours? ....this gal this morning. Yay
Congratulations on completing 11 miles! You're there. I mean, what's the difference between 11 and 13.1 really? Not much! You're doing fantastic! The Wine & Dine course is pretty flat. There is some sloping ground in AK and at least one overpass that ramps up on one side and down on the other. But, nothing I would classify as a hill. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 9:43AM

Good morning. Coach When you say hydrating what you mean? I have a fear of porta pottey. What's your rule on drinking while running
Jeff Galloway has some great articles out there on hydrating and fueling pre-race. I've been doing a lot of research myself. **Don't nobody got time fo' dat!** - mrsincredible  806.4 #5 4:31AM
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ #raceproblems - tracsant  948.3 #2 4:38AM
I have been running all these mile without drinking I have been fine. I don't know about 48 of hydrating I would live in toilet. - 5disneylovers  855.9 #4 7:02PM
πŸ˜‚ I haven't needed to hydrate during any of my training this far either (and no bathroom breaks so far during), just some water before and a lot of water after (and all I drink any other time is water and sometimes tea so maybe that helps, I dunno). - mrsincredible  806.4 #5 7:15PM
That being said, I think I'll be adding a little water bottle to my race belt before my next long distance. And just sip a couple of times mid-way thru and see how that goes. - mrsincredible  806.4 #5 7:18PM
Wow! I gulp down the water and PowerAid on my training runs! I actually scale back for races. Also, I drink tons of water when in the parks during hot weather. I'm in the bathroom all the time (just ask any if the MWers I've vacationed with)! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 7:33PM
Haha!! I do tend to down more when it's hot. - mrsincredible  806.4 #5 7:43PM
How do you carry it? On your belt? How much do you carry with you would you say? - mrsincredible  806.4 #5 7:44PM
Most of my long practice runs are on the treadmill. However, I have carried water bottles on my fuel belt. I'm not a big fan. I find myself constantly readjusting it (I prefer to wear it on my hips, not my natural waist.). I've been meaning to try the hand carried water bottles. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 7:54PM
You shouldn't need to carry extra water during the race. Disney is pretty good about having adequate water stops. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 7:56PM
I think Tiff just wants to say she has used every Disney potty!!! ;-) - mzdisnee  450.6 #13 9:13PM
Yes, I'm sure I have and the Tangled toilets are still my favorite! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 10:11PM
Wow, you guys are lucky to not need to take water on your runs! I need to drink a lot of water/electrolytes, especially during the hot and humid weather, otherwise I get a bad headache afterward. I must be a little sensitive to the heat. Eating a pickle afterward helps me, too. πŸ˜‚ Haha weird, but it helps! Ever since I watched a man let his dog drink from the water fountain I needed to use (😷YUCK!!), I have used a fuel belt by Nathan with four 10 ounce bottles--in the summer, I take water and Accelerade with me for anything longer than 4 miles or so. My fuel belt is just okay. It's a necessary thing for me during training, so I deal with it. As CDKG said, for a Disney race, I wouldn't use it. I'm so jealous of all of you doing the WDW runs--that is a big dream of mine! Someday! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  526.3 #335 10:32PM

CDKG should I be making dinner reservations for race night ? What time are you to stop eating ideally.
If you want to make ressies for race day, they should be for breakfast. You will want to eat small meals for lunch/dinner with small snacks in between. Go for a balance of carbs and protein and low in fat. Experiment with eating different foods before your long runs during training. You need to learn what works for you. You should also be practicing your pre-race and mid-run fueling plan. You will need something to keep you moving, but you don't want it to result in tummy troubles! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 6:39PM

Well, the after party at Epcot will be well underway (it ends at 4 am). Admission is included with your race entry. They will have all of the Food and Wine booths and some attractions open! Last year I didn't make it to the party. The humidity hit me hard and I was feeling faint and nauseous. So, mzdisnee, mrdisnee, and I sat by the fountain (you know, the one BEFORE Spaceship Earth). This year I'm hoping to feel up to enjoying the party! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 7:46PM
Mrs I, ideally you will stay on your feet and slowly walk around for a while. Trust me, if you sit, it will be HARD to get up! You should have seen Jen and I hobbling to the car! Then, it's off to bed for a good night's sleep! (But, expect to need the bathroom a couple times during the night. All that hydrating will come back to haunt you!) - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 7:49PM

For those of you that have been to the food and wine festival. How expensive are the stations? How does it all work ? How much money to have on hand ? Is every day different at the stations ? Can you pre order? Tons of question.
I don't think the food changes because they have booklets that list the food at each booth. Some of the selections are not that expensive about the price of a snack. Each booth has a couple if food selections may have a dessert option and the a wine or two or a beer. I think every booth has a selection that you can use your snack option on which is very cool so if you have the dinning plan, save your snacks. The only thing I regret is that we had dinner ressies. Next time I would only eat my way around the world. Now I went with hubbie so we pick a selection and we shared it that way we were not that full and tried more things. We probably spent about 80.00 just on the booths but tried many things. They also sell these cute little gift cards you can load with whatever amount you want and use that to buy your food and drinks and they are on stretch wrist bands. Very fun - mmddgp  411.1 #17 8:21PM
Are the stations all day? - 5disneylovers  855.9 #4 9:44AM
Same hours as World Showcase. - mzdisnee  450.6 #13 9:46AM
Typically 11 am (when the WS opens) until 9 pm. The "marketplaces" close when Illuminations begins. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  866.2 #3 9:48AM
We used a lot of our snack credits there, especially on the expensive things like a $7 filet in Canada and a lobster roll in...uh...I forgot. But it was good!! We prob spent about $100 still....but we prob had more wine than we should have.... - MicheyMouse  323.8 #675 6:43PM
Average price is around $5 an item, some are a little less, some a little more. Portion sizes are small. I suggest you go online and view the different food items that will be served and find out what you must have and create a budget off of that. Have fun and enjoy the experience. I will be there in 5 weeks, and this is a must do each year. - SSpringsdvc  5.1 #15250 10:34PM
