Ok I need some help on must dos for a first time person in each park. I haven't been to Disney since 2013 so I know things have changed. I have made a list of things to do but maybe there is more to. Thanks for the input.....and go..
Magic kingdom: mine train, cinnamon roll from gastons, splash mountain, big thunder mountain, fantasy parade, Pirates of Caribbean, wishes and mainstreet electrical parade. Studios: toy story, tower, rock and roll, cars stunt show, Indy, beauty and the beast dinner at mamas of brown derby. Ak: safari, festival of the lion king, mt Everest, dinosaur, Kali river Rapids. EPCOT: soaring, spaceship earth, test track, living with the land, mission space, coke center and have a beverlyπŸ˜‰, visit all the countries. Visit the festival center and try the different foods enjoy the concert series, illuminations. Dtd is now Disney springs and there is so much there that is different. The boathouse is so very cool inside, raglan rd is a fun time and great food. There is a new bar (jock Lyndsey's/Indy inspired) that looks cool also. We also enjoy trex and house of blues. Something very special is cirque de sole very fun! Happy planning - mmddgp  1092.5 #7 7:18PM

sorry I have been missing in action for so long. a lot has happened since the last I was on here. BBNMINNIE and I divorced and I have spent the past several months trying to get back up on my feet. good news is I should be making a trip to WDW in May of 2016. it will be strictly an adult trip.
I am so sorry. Best of luck to you πŸ€. Great that you have a countdown. Where you staying and who's all going.? May is a great month the flower garden festival will be going on with a concert series which is so fun.  - mmddgp  1092.5 #7 4:36AM

The past 2 days I have spent time on the phone with disney. Both ladies were top of the line grade A spectacular helpers!!! yesterday I called about a ADR and I had jumped the gun and still was a few days out so that's fine I'll try again in a few days. today we got an email about a discount on rooms so we called about that. We have it set up and the lady today was cutting jokes and singing to me   More...

ESPN WWoS... someone please tell me more about it. All the times I've been to Disney and I have never stopped by there to check it out. Is there anything there that is an absolute must do or must see? is it included with your ticket package to visit there? I want to stop by there the next trio we do but I don't want it to be a take away from the kids if there isn't much to do there or things to se  More...
The grounds and the fields are amazing but there really is nothing there to do except a sports shop and a qs restraunt and they may only be open when there are events. Most events are ticketed so you would need a desperate admission. They used to have the all sports challenge which was a lot if fun. The kids and my husband enjoyed that but had stopped it a few years ago. - mmddgp  1092.5 #7 8:20AM

For anyone who has went through the schooling to be a disney travel agent if u have Facebook please go look me up and message me please. I have some questions about it. Thank you oh and to find me on Facebook it's Brad Minton and my profile picture is me and my daughter with Merida
I have not done any type of travel agent schooling, but I've heard it's not fun, it's a lot of pressure and not what you think it'd be. Β If you do decide to do it, I wish you the best of luck and hope what I've heard is wrong :) - DizneyGirl  979.3 #8 7:14PM
The school program was a piece of cake! It was the industry that was not all it was cracked up to be. Then... the Internet came and it was all over! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1453.0 #3 7:20PM
Sorry, I meant the actual job part. - DizneyGirl  979.3 #8 7:58PM
Well, I did it way back in the 90's, so I'm sure it has changed. I have an Associate degree in Air Transportation Business and later completed the College of Disney Knowledge via fax! (Boy, that makes me feel old!) - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1453.0 #3 7:17PM
So is the College of Disney to become a TA? - mrsincredible  1323.7 #4 8:02PM
No, the College of Disney Knowledge is to become a Disney destination specialist. I went to a community college to earn my degree in Air Transportation Business. It took another year for an agency to hire me... because I didn't have any actual experience. (No, but I had a degree! How do you get experience if no one will hire you?) - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1453.0 #3 8:08PM
No doubt! - mrsincredible  1323.7 #4 4:41AM
Well you have to become a travel agency before Disney allows you to go through the college of knowledge or sign up under an agency. Unless you really know the travel industry, I would advise finding an existing agency. I am a TA now :) - wickedale  435.6 #523 11:30PM
Would anyone know a good online travel agency that I could look into that would allow me to do things from home? One that's actually worth looking into and that isn't a scam? - BBNMickey  20.9 #169 11:44AM

I have tried reading on a website and I'm not really understanding. since we don't live in FL and if we were to buy annual passes say for me and the wife what does that entitle us to and would it make it cheaper on us to take a family vacation with 5 kids?
Well depending on the time you go there could be great discounts on your room. You can save 10% on some sit down dinning and 10 % on shopping and you have to make sure you will get another trip out of it or it is not worth it. If you decide to do a dinning plan you can get a little break on the price of that but not much. - mmddgp  1092.5 #7 11:34AM
Oh and with a total of 7 you would need 2 rooms so that would be double discount. - mmddgp  1092.5 #7 11:36AM
So you are saying it would be worth it? And would work out for the better with as many as we will have going? - BBNMickey  20.9 #169 11:43AM
In my opinion (as someone who is a 7 hour drive from Disneyland and opposite coast of WDW), an annual pass makes up for itself in 2-3 visits if staying at least 3-4 nights each time. If you know you will go that much, get the passes. I have also heard of people buying an annual pass for one member of the group for the discounts if you are going only once and can get better priced tickets for the rest of the group. You really just need to price it out both ways - duckymomo  46.5 #5076 11:51AM
Here is what I do. I call directly to Disney travel. Have them work the numbers both ways with and with out. There are also times that there is no annual pass discount available so you have to be careful. When we went in march the spring discount was actually better than the annual pass so definately run the numbers - mmddgp  1092.5 #7 12:25PM
You get a discount on the resorts as well - 5disneylovers  1165.8 #6 3:54PM
I don't really k NJ ow about whenwe wwould go. We wouldn't be able to do the APs until tax time 2015. So it would be after that but a good note 2 of the 5 kids would be free so that helps out and maybe just maybe we could squeeze 2 trips in if the did the APs - BBNMickey  20.9 #169 5:45PM

Ok I need some help yall..we are starting to plan our next trip which won't be until after tax season 2015. it will be 8 of us..me, the wife, our friend Kathy and by then it will be all 5 kids..2 kids will get in free due to their age. This will be Kathy first trip to wdw since 1971!!! which resort would be big enough to fit all of us and put us in a good spot to enjoy it all.
That is so awesome! A new Mouseketeer will be joining you and a returning one with lots of new things to see and do since her last trip. We travel with 8 and we just get two connecting rooms an as long as your friend does not mind sharing with a couple of your kids it can work out. No matter where you stay on property you can do it all it all depends how much you want to spend and the amenities you would like in a resort. For us as long as the kids have a pool that is good. I do enjoy pops the atmosphere is great, food court is good and the bussing is the best of the valu resorts. You can also walk to AOA for a visit or eat at their food court. Moderates we have stayed at port Orleans many years ago when it was that and Dixie landings and carribean beach. Liked both of them. Delux the only one we stay at was AKL it is beautiful. Happy planning! - mmddgp  1092.5 #7 7:04PM
You can get two rooms and ask for adjoining at PO riverside. My daughter and I took her 5 children and got adjoining rooms. Halfway thru, our husbands joined us, so we had 4 adults and 5 children in two rooms. Surprisingly, it wasn't bad at all. - ally  509.0 #18 9:43PM
