I do not know if I shared this story with my mw family but last march when we were at Disney. We were staying at all star music and one afternoon we were back from the parks early and was spending it at the pool. My wife and I were in the swallow end because of our lil ones and a family walked up with a small little girl well the little girl got away from her family as they were finding a place to put their towels and belongings. The lil girl decided to come into the pool she didnt get too far but she couldn't swim very well and I saw her go under and when she came back up she had that look of terror in her eyes. I got to her as quick as I could and picked her up when I turned around to find her family they had no idea she had got away from them. I'm not telling y'all this to make me look like some hero I'm just glad I was in the right place at the right time because drownings happen so quickly. Has anyone else had something like that happen or seen something like that happen during your stay at Disney?
Unfortunately yes I find parents don't watch their children. Thank god for super vigilant people. My kids know the rules and we take turns in the water for that reason. - 5disneylovers

I've seen that happen too. I've alerted a few parents to wandering toddlers but haven't had to rescue them from the pool thank God. Bless you for your eagle eyes and stopping a potential tragedy. No matter what their age do not take your eyes off your little ones for even a second. - Tinkerbell1265

Unfortunately too many times parents feel they are on Vacation from kids also. I have seen some older children left unattended and running wild. Even children nine and ten can get hurt running arround wet pools. - Pooh147856

Yes I have. I was at the big slide at the boardwalk villas waiting for my son to come down when a little boy came off the slide with only one swimmie on. (the little floating things on the arms) I went right for him and brought him and his list swimmie to the side of the pool. I never even saw his parents. They must have just let him go where ever he wanted. I'm sure the life guard would have gotten him if I wasn't there but why take that chance. - Boardwalk245

I got to visit with my daughter for a while today. This isn't my visitation weekend but her momma needed a sitter so I said ill watch her! Of course my little princess loves the movie beauty and the beast and at the very end of the movie where the duet sings while the credits are playing my daughter starts singing and comes over to me and says "daddy dance" she wanted to dance like belle and beast does in the ballroom. She even had to straighten my arms like belle does to beast!! AND of course I did as she wanted I smiled the whole time while fighting back tears she's growing up way to fast for this pappa bear.

So we got online and reserved our spot for our vacation. Nov 7-12 in AoA in the Cars family suite!! The 6 of us plus my sister is going with us. This will be her first time going since she was 12. I'm pretty excited about it now just a few more days to make ressies for some character meals.

Today I turned an awesome 31!!! Today has been one of the better birthdays I've had in a while. At the moment I'm on the way to work and I checked the mail before leaving only to find my RAK from Gary had come in!!! I had countless Facebook messages but Maggie(Mrs. I) sent me a message AND I had birthday cards from Mrs. I and an unknown mw family from buffalo NY so thank you all very much for all the birthday wishes. It has been a great birthday

This was a Disney find that I just happen to stumble on yesterday in a pawn shop. They are the McDonald Disney glasses from 2000 one for each park and I got the whole set!!!

How early is it when you can start making character ressies? Is it 6 months before or earlier than that?
I had this thought hit my mind earlier and it may be a little out of left field but oh how great it would be if it happened! I thought that on my next trip to WDW "what if" WDW offered me a job! I haven't applied for one either I really can't at this point in my life because of 2 of my kids. I just thought how cool would it be to be offered a job at the happiest place on earth! Yea I know just wishful thinking I guess but how many others have had similar thoughts like that surely to goodness I'm not the only one
No, you're not the only one. I and my dad would love to work there again, and my husband would be perfect working in Epcot at the Italy Pavilion. I miss the sunny skies and warmth, too. Wishful thinking to live there again, at least not for a very long time. :( Let's keep our hopes up, though! You never know what life will bring. :) - PixieDust76

So the wife and I have already started talking about our next trip the one we take in 2014. We have invited another family to go with us so this trip we will have 4 adults going and 7 kids all the kids are 10 and under! I'm already tired just thinking about it lol. Anyhow where would be a good place for all of us to stay so that we could stay remotely together? I know we will more than likely have to have conjoined rooms but which resorts would y'all suggest?
How exciting! We always stay at the valu resorts and with that many it is going to be 3 rooms or two suites. All star movies and art of animation have suites but because of the buses I would pic AOA. If you are goin to do 3 rooms I would say pop century. Have fun planning - mmddgp

Like others have said, rent DVC points. Be ready to book no later than 7 months before your trip and read up on the forums so you know how it works. $10 or $11is the average price per point. A good site is mouseowners.com. You would need a grand villa which sleeps 12. - Andrea84

Any other parents every have this problem...my daughter wanted to watch Belle( Beauty and the Beast) my wife was gone to work and I can't find the DVD anywhere! I turned the house upside down looking. So I tell Lily we will go buy you a new copy. We load up go to Walmart and wouldn't you believe it. WALMART DOESN'T HAVE A COPY AT ALL!!! I was fighting mad because if I didn't want to buy the movie I would of seen it for sale everywhere. I'm to the point of wanting to pull my hair out or the lack there of but the wife comes home and saves the day. She found the copy of the movie in the house I turned upside down lol. Now my daughter is the happiest lil princess ever!

New course of action!!! Can anyone tell me about the campgrounds in November? Is it too cold to camp, do the tent sites have electrical hookups? I know the camper sites would have them but we don't have a camper we will be in a tent. Is there much to do at the campgrounds?

Some help please... My wife and I were told just last night that the 3rd adult we were going to take with us to Disney in November has backed out!! Bummer I know but Disney is still saying its going to cost us the same with just 6 now instead of 7. My wife would like for us to take the park hopper passes off to save some money but I feel that takes away from the magic. I know magic kingdom is going to use up 2 days at least. How oh how can we make our trip cheaper someone has to have some secrets..please share I would much appreciate it.

Yes as far as fixed cost 1/7 of a suite and tickets was the biggest part of it. What really hurts us is the fact that we drive from Kentucky so gas is a booger to deal with also this guy gets way too sick on a plane! The cheapest place for us to stay that we've found besides camping is port Orleans and I'm keeping my eyes open for any deals that may pop up between now and when we want to book...thanks for the help guys keep it coming lol - BBNMickey

The disney 1/2 marathon in nov this year how do you go about getting in that? How much does it cost?
The WDW wine and dine half marathon is Nov 9. It should be going on sale soon. Check the RunDisney website for more info. It will be about $200. Hubby and I are running the Dland one in Sept and the WDW one in Nov :). They tend to sell out in less than a week. - mzdisnee

A bit of sad news my fellow mwers. Seems that the student loan people decided to lie to me and now they are going to garnish my entire tax refund when I consolidated the loans and got put in a income based repayment. After all that paperwork was in the system they told me I was fine to file my taxes well I get a letter in the mail on the 4th saying I should wait to file for 4 more weeks to make sure that my refund doesn't get taken. I filed on January 28th :'( with that said looks like no Disney trip this year
