Having a blast at wdw- kids are troopers with this rain!!! Who knows what the Mickey/princess attraction is that is inside Tony's rest. In MK there is even a fast pass line! Is it a meet and greet? Thanks for helping! And pray for no more rain or if rain - just sprinkles!
Yep, it's a meet and greet, and fun little area to meet Mickey and the princesses.  You should check it out - the kids will love it.  I know how you feel with the rain...  it poured down rain on us ALL DAY LONG the day we went to AK.  We were SOAKED to the bone by the end of the day, but we stayed as long as we could and at least saw the shows.  The parade was even cancelled that day.  - mrsincredible  818.2 #5 6:48PM
Oh, or maybe I was thinking you were talking about the theater when you first walk into MK on the right. I may have told you wrong if you were meaning a different place. - mrsincredible  818.2 #5 6:50PM

All packed. I bought those rubber bracelets - think livestrong yellow ones. I used sharpie to write my cell and other info inside the bracelet. I'm trying to get my kids to memorize the number? But... We have a stroller and are a hand holding family! Half way thru our trip we will hit the Lego store at dd and my wild one can pick out a Lego if he earns it! - timon  12.0 #207 7:00PM

Have one more day to decide about getting the meal plan. I have figured it out and it was about the same. My two boys usually share a meal and don't finish it and I usually order an appetizer as a meal??? So.. I'm thinking not... Feedback??? Also just got res. for the San angel inn for end of July?? Anyone try it? Looks kinda cool! Plus they have chicken nuggets which is always a bonus!
I think its worth trying the meal plan once. Its nice to order whatever u want without worrying about the price. Next time, we prob won't. U feel obligated to eat and overstuff yourself. Plus the reservations puts a bit of a time restraint on u. - Disneyaddict  352.6 #579 9:07PM
Let me start by saying, we have never done any character meals or had many sitdown meals at DIsney. We went in April and decided to go without the meal plan. Honestly I think we did great. I think the cost of the meal plan is a lot, but if you are into sit down meals and character dining, then it might be worth the money. For our family, its just not. I think what we ordered and ate, we made out much better, and weren't restricted to where we ate. IOts a pretty personal decision...good luck! - ncjal  209.6 #34 5:36PM
that being said, if it were offered free, I would have TOTALLY done it!! - ncjal  209.6 #34 5:37PM
Personally, I've never done the DP. We eat most of our meals at QS and some are just snacks. We average one TS every 2 days. One thing I've noticed over the years as the DP has become more popular, walk up reservations are nearly impossible! You used to be able to book a ressie at, say, SciFi on a whim if you were a little flexible. Now, good luck! I don't mint planning ahead, but I really wish I could still make some last minute decisions too. Especially if you're traveling with a newbie. They might see a restaurant and think it looks fun. But, of you didn't already book it may be out of the question. It seems there was a time when Disney saved a certain percentage of tables for walk ups. No more! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  871.1 #3 7:58AM
Yep, you're right! In 2005, we walked up to Sci-Fi, and waited about 15 min before being seated. This time, we made a ressie, because people were lined up out the door in Oct when we walked by. The food isn't all that great, we just like the experience. I guess it all depends on the time of year you go, too, as to whether or not you can walk up successfully or not. - mrsincredible  818.2 #5 8:05AM
Thanks for all the scoop . We do have a TS for every day planned with reservations. I also order from garden grocer and we have breakfast in the room. We're not going to do the dining plan but I am going to keep tabs for the future. I'll let you fellow mw's know when I get back! We allot 140 a day which includes everything. The plan was about 140 a day but without tip and only two meals so we shall see - not a big dessert family either - we'd rather eat chips! - timon  12.0 #207 9:20AM

Thanks in advance to my MW friends - 14 days... I just realized I need a fast food lunch place at Disney studios/aka MGM or Hollywood Studios - I looked at the menus but your advice is way better! Thanks!
14 days till u go? How exciting:) - mickeynme  153.3 #50 5:13PM
The ones on sunset boulevard btw are outside, so be forewarned..there are umbrellas though to shield from the heat. ABC Commissiary is a good indoor choice for lunch and so is Pizza Planet - mickeynme  153.3 #50 5:16PM

Everest ride- scarier than space mountain? What age kids??? Mine have been on splash and thunder... Heading in two weeks - never been on everest?
Space mountain will be the scarier of the two. Everest hosts a disco party every two minutes.. - IndyandMarion  1237.9 #1 7:09PM
Really??? For some reason I thought Space Mountain was a milder ride. I haven't ever been on it, and had it on my list to try in Nov, but now you have me scared, lol!! I did Everest, and felt sick afterwards, but I think it was that whole backwards thing. - mrsincredible  818.2 #5 7:59PM
They should be fine. It does go backwards in the dark. - DizneyGirl  615.5 #8 7:02PM
I love both rides specially space mountain. My daughter is 8 and she prefers space mountain rather than Everest. - yessy  193.8 #38 9:48AM
Lol..@IndyandMarion about "journey into imagination" That's such an overly happy ride,it's almost scary..lol..that song gets stuck in your head! love figment tho:D - mickeynme  153.3 #50 10:15AM

Fantasmic??? How early do we really have to go? Never seen it because my boys go to bed so early - this year it is a must! Didn't do the special dinner pack- like an hour before???? Will I get a seat or have to stand!
If you go 30-45 min early, you should be fine. That theater is so big, I have never not gotten a seat. We always get a center seat, but really, I don't think there is a bad seat anywhere...you can see the show pretty well from all the sections. Just plan to be on that side of the park about an hour before, and then you can monitor the crowds. - mrsincredible  818.2 #5 4:13AM
Do u need to purchase tickets for the show. I have never been to fantasmic. - yessy  193.8 #38 4:20AM
No you do not need to purchase tickets for the show there are seats - nodell111  166.4 #47 5:07AM
We went 45mins early back in 09 in jan. & literally got the last seats all the way to the left....wasnt the greatest seats but I was happy to be sitting down....but the show was only playing 3 times a week when we were there becuz it was off season - AB1288  15.9 #174 7:41AM
Wow really none waits for more then 30. Here at Disneyland people have blankets spread like 3-5 hours before the show - maxinerenton  422.7 #442 9:17AM

Weird question but I read somewhere that they have off menu items at some restaurants for kids. One kid only eats chicken nuggets????
We have a pickey eater, too, and he was fine last trip. There are plenty of meal and snack choices, healthy and not so healthy. - mrsincredible  818.2 #5 3:34AM
Most restaurants have chicken nuggets and I'm very happy for that since my little sister also just about only eats chicken nuggets, however there are a couple resturants that don't have chicken nuggets on the menu however all the restaurants do have kid menus(except for Victoria and Alberts since kids aren't allowed there, also at the family style restaurants everyone gets the same thing) - nodell111  166.4 #47 6:01AM

I always bring the stroller unfortunately! I always ask ur same question- do I want cranky slow kids? Or do I want to give them a rest and cruise around? I bring a single one now and make them take turns? Don't laugh but they are turning 7. - yes 7 but they ate tiny!!!
Ours are 5 and 9 (niece) and we are renting a double stroller in December! :) - mrsincredible  818.2 #5 3:32AM
