While sitting in class today the topic of WDW was brought I believe I shocked a few people with my enthusiasm about the topic. Some people just don't understand.
We have report assignments on a issue of our choice and possible solutions kid in class chose the money pit of a convocation center that was built on campus. His one solution was to sell naming rights like alot of arenas do. I suggested looking at epcot as an example since most of epcot is sponsored and that lead me into an entire Disney tangent. There's a lot of terrible stuff in the news the past couple of days. So, I figured I would share this story I came across in a funny picture app of all places. The security guard asked the little girl if he could trouble the little princess for her autograph ,which delighted the little girl of course. The guard's autograph book is apparently filled with children's scribbles that he delighted by pretending they were what their costumes were. Shame stories like that do not make the actual news.

Only one final to go then I'm done for the semester. The test is in Intro to recreation and leisure it is a sociology class focusing on peoples recreation and leisure. Hopefully there are a few more Disney questions on the final. I already out Disney knowledge the professor and scared my friend when studying for the quiz on amusement parks. Good times.

So, today after I bought my college text books I went and bought a strawberry dole whip from a little local ice cream stand. While enjoying the amazing frozen product Disney withdrawal kicked in. January 2014 can not come soon enough. Especially because I've convinced 2 friends of mine who have never been to disney into saving money to come with me. My point for sharing this story is for 2 reasons 1 being I haven't posted or been around for awhile and 2 is to ask what I should put on the list for musts for people who have never been? (never too early to start planing right) plus I missed this family during my busy schedule.

For some reason I couldn't just reply @ncjal my family and I stayed right in the middle of Gatlinburg. The traffic was bad but staying in a suite over looking the strip, we could walk almost everywhere besides to get to Pegion Forge and the Cherrokee reservation. - ShaggySmith

This is not Disney related. I won't be around for a week or so. I'm going on a family trip. First to King's Island in Ohio then we are going to shoot down to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Tennessee for Dollywood and other fun, so in till I get back take care and be safe everybody.

Anything by the Shurman Brothers is a winner. I especially like the Humming - Strumming song sung by Annett. The harmonies are amazing. There are just too many to really pick favorites. My car visor is full of Disney Compilation CDs. We listen to them all the time. I play guitar and banjo. As a sailor, I like to sing "Whale of a Tale" and strum along on the banjo. - Experiment869

My favorite part? That is a very tough question, there is far too much to mention but, to sender your question I would say the atmosphere of the place. For some reason it just makes me happy even just seeing a photo of it.

I find the spots all the time. I get my camera out, I fix on my location, I go to take the photo...then some dumb-cluck idiot walks into my frame & ruins my shot. "I didn't see you" they say. I will always remember the first time I saw the fireworks at Epcot as a little kid. Anyone else have a mind-blowing experience at Disney before?
1993 was our first Disney trip. My oldest daughter had just graduated high school th other two were 14 and 11. We stayed off property( that was not the greatest) but we were in ahh of everything Disney. We were hooked! We soaked in as much as we could. We did all the shows, rides, parades and wanted more. Loved every minuet of it. Got home and started planning for the next trip. Changed things up a bit this time, went in sept instead of June ( our new favorite time to go) stayed on property(sports) and we have been back every year since and sometimes two and three times and now with the grand kids. Oh what magical memories. I wish we had the opportunity to go when my kids were younger. Some of my favorite things through the years are anything with the characters, fireworks, parades(including the not so scary Halloween parade ,Christmas parade and the tapestry of nations at epcot ). - mmddgp
