I think it's a good choice for us, we have a rental car so bus stops aren't an issue, even if we end up taking the bus, were already doing so much walking around the parks I'm sure the extra 20 mins a day won't matter! And if not.. He's strong... He can piggy back me 😉
I'm not a fan of POR... I'm a POFQ fan! Contrary to what everyone said, I find POR loud, loud, loud! Anytime POFQ shared a bus with POR the guests were so loud! I never had that problem with POFQ. I've the same experience in the POR food court, loud! The bus service is much better at POFQ too. On shared buses they are always the first stop. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

I've stayed at both sides and llke them both. They are both peaceful and pretty. The FQ side is smaller and easier to walk to everything, but the Riverside has a nice bar/lounge area and table seating restaurant. - ally

We love POR! We love the grounds, love the activities, love the food court. The only drawback is that it's HUGE, so you have to do a lot of walking from one place to another. Buses come quickly, but if your room isn't near one of the stops, it's kind of a pain. I'd pay the extra to stay in a preferred room which would be closer to the bus and food. I hope you enjoy it. We've stayed there twice and enjoyed it both times! - BagGal
