Almost time to pick our fast passes for our trip. I can't wait. We decided to drive this trip not sure how that will be as we haven't driven for at least 15 years.
Have a great trip - Winnie111286  12385.2 #4 10:40AM
Yay!! I'm right behind you I pick fp's in 6 days. We drive whenever we can. It's a long drive for us (17/18 hrs) but we love it. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time 😃 - Schramke  664.8 #12 11:02AM
We just drove from PA 15 and a half hours each way. That time includes stops. Wasn't a bad ride. Traffic was ok and the weather was great. We have drove many times but this was the first time I was actually a drive, I did all the driving and I was surprised how easy it was. We started out with some tire trouble but it turned out to be a great trip hope your goes well. - Bakerjars  251.9 #36 4:55AM
We used to drive all the time from oh. The best invention is the portable DVD player. It is about a 18 hour drive if we do it straight through. We would try and leave around 5 pm and our first stop we would eat dinner. Drive some more and stop around midnight for a snack and maybe change into comfy clothes. Then it was movie time and then they would fall asleep and sleep through the night. We would just pull over and sleep for a couple of hours then back on the road. Our nest stop would be for breakfast get refreshed and then on to disney about 3 in the afternoon. Worked great.  - mmddgp  949.4 #7 6:16PM

289 days until Disney. We are staying in the Art of Animation, Little Mermaid. Our granddaughter is coming with us. We decided to drive. Are we nuts? Nicolette is going to keep a journal of her trip. She turns 13 right before we go.
My husband drove with his grandpa across the country from San Francisco to Florida for WDW, then up to Ohio to see family.  He was about the same age, and he talks about that trip all the time!  So many memories made, and he really bonded with his grandpa.  It's something that changed his life.  Enjoy and savor every minute!   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 6:55PM
One of my brother's did that for 3 months with his wife for their honeymoon many years ago in an old VW van. They said they had fun! They're still married twenty+ years later! - secretagentangel  4719.0 #28 7:04PM

This bird jumped up and took half of my hamburg.
It's a very simple thing called people screwing with nature. People have been feeding the birds/squirrels/et for so long that the animals have no fear and don't hunt for food. It ticks me off really and I've gotten to telling people myself not to do that at the parks. It screws up their system and puts them in danger. The Ibis (Seen above) is notorious for this behavior these days. And it's sad because you'd figure that people would have at least a bit of common knowledge not to feed the wildlife. And the people who have gone "aw give them some" to me when I shoo them away tick me off even more. But that's a whole new ballgame at that point. - IndyandMarion  1278.9 #4 6:04AM
Indy, when we were at Cheshire Cafe at MK, we were sitting at the tables trying the cupcakes, and these people next to us were feeding the ducks CUPCAKES and they were walking around with icing all over their bills. It was so sad! I don't understand why people do that. Icing is certainly NOT GOOD for them. Disney really should enforce no feeding the wildlife. I don't know how they should go about doing it, but I bet if they had a CM at each of the outdoor pavilions and tables to get on to folks about it when they see it and post signs, it would get better. - mrsincredible  1190.2 #5 7:26AM
Totally agree Indy. That's why these critters are snatching because that is the new norm. They are getting fed by others and when they don't they take. - mmddgp  949.4 #7 9:19AM
We have a new law where you can get a fine for feeding wildlife!! Maybe Disney needs to enforce the no feeding wildlife. Poor animals!!! - disneyworldsbiggestfan  66.2 #89 11:23AM
lol - Dave   13500.6 #2 2:30PM
Agrees. Make me angry too. - 5disneylovers  1152.8 #6 5:09AM
Oh my the birds/ducks are really hungry lately. - Pooh147856  355.2 #24 7:28PM
It makes me angy, too. I observed a woman hand feeding a squirel french fries in Epcot. It's just wrong on so many levels. I too would love if the cast members would intervene when these things are going on. - leveretttltl  89.6 #78 9:22AM
Maybe They should have animal feeding areas. I wonder if that would help. Maybe it would attract way more animals. Just a thought - 5disneylovers  1152.8 #6 5:15AM
