What do you guys think of Pop Century? AoA is too expensive, so I wz looking into a different value resort. Is it good for teenagers? My sister and I will be teenagers and I don't want her to be unhappy.
Sometimes depending on where you stay and what you do you can get a moderate resort and park tickets for what you get the value resorts for =)*+.*+.*+. - CinderellaPrincess85  168.8 #31 4:23PM
Pop is my favorite resort. I'm on a budget (because I'm poor) and Pop & the All Stars are the way to go. The rooms are smaller than the moderate or deluxe resorts but how much time do you spend in your room anyway? 😄 The entertainments & fun pools at Pop & the All Stars make up for it. - Tinkerbell1265  372.1 #8 5:49PM
My comments keep disappearing. Ok we love pop!! It's our favorite I think you'll love it. We had a horrible experience with AAA. So if you go through them triple check everything. We were told it was going to be one price witch was cheaper then going through Disney so we booked with AAA but by the time they added charges we were not told about it was $400 more expensive then booking the trip myself. They were horrible about getting us our magical express stuff and they messed up our flight. So if you go though them stay on top of everything. - Schramke  314.6 #14 11:36PM

Good morning!! Is anyone planning to stay at a family suite at AoA this summer? My family is thinking about staying there nxt summer in a family suite and I need input of some MWers!!!
We are undecided. They do look very nice. Sorry I can't help you more. - Ariel42  198.1 #25 2:26PM
Never done that , sorry !!!! - skcanfield  355.1 #9 2:38PM
We are staying there in Dec, but in the Little Mermaid area, reg room. Any idea why it is so much more expensive to request a different area, i.e., Cars? That is kind of a bummer, esp if you have boys. - mrsincredible  404.6 #5 2:42PM
I have looked into it but was surprised at the price. Still thinking about it - Bakerjars  220.1 #22 2:49PM

Does WDW have the MSEP or Spectromagic? They might be bringing the MSEP back to DL and wen I go to DW nxt year I want to be able to see some type of electrical parade... Be it spectromagic or MSEP
Right now they have the MSEP.  I'm not sure there's any word on when it'll go back to DL. - DizneyGirl  354.6 #10 10:09PM
What is the difference between the two, guess they aren't the same? Apparently, I need to go back to figure this out first hand, STAT!! ;) - mrsincredible  404.6 #5 10:22PM

Hi everyone! How's my family doing today? What's a good moderate and value resort? My family might not be able to afford a deluxe
I've only stayed at the Value resorts (because I'm poor lol!) but my fave is Pop Century. Fun pools, great atmosphere & great food court. Rooms are on the small side but I'm only in the room to shower & sleep so it's never bothered me.😃 - Tinkerbell1265  372.1 #8 8:19PM
We really liked Pop Century (for a Value resort, anyway).  Of the three, it is my fav.  Of course, the new one, if you can get into it, is probably the best.  Can't beat new!  :)  I haven't ever stayed in anything other than Deluxe and Value, so not sure on the Moderate ones.  - mrsincredible  404.6 #5 8:14PM
Just as an FYI: when I looked at the prices the AoA costs a lot more than the other value resorts even though they are all listed as value. I liked the Movies, except the beds were doubles not queens. Also loved Pop too :) - mzdisnee  223.1 #21 12:00AM
The polynesian is a great one but a little pricey. The animal kingdom is great and is one of the lowest priced deluxe and same thing with the wilderness lodge - klperry07  11.5 #178 7:09AM

Hello, fellow Disney lovers!! I have a question regarding suitcase size. What's a good size to bring for my 7 day vacation to Disney World next summer? I'm probably going to over pack a little and I'm going to need room for souvineers. We are going in July 2013. Thanks!!
it depends on the airline. but i say the bigger the better. for me all i got to worry about is t shirt and jeans and what i ever i buy when down there but my girlfriend had 3 bags for a 5 day trip in 05 so i got know clue. me man me know nothing - poohbear6382  30.8 #102 12:45AM
We took 1 large suitcase 1 medium size and packed a smaller one in the medium 1. We ended up buying another bag because we had filled both the medium and small up with souvenirs. I have 4 nieces and 2 nephews so we went a bit crazy on our first trip buying them stuff but this year it's gonna be a dooney for mama - girlonfire  35.4 #88 8:35AM

For my 7 day vacation, 1 large suitcase per person, 1 carry on each, and we each had a backpack. I use those space saver bags, to condense my clothes as much as possible. The carry-ons are pretty much empty heading there. Coming back they are full. I know on this next trip I am going to be shipping things I buy back home. - Lelundrial  341.4 #429 10:21AM

Hi MW Family! What are the best character meals in each park? We are going to be doing the dining plan, so we don't have to worry about cost!! Thanks do much!!
Cinderella's Royal Table, Cape May Cafe, and Chef Mickey's are our faves! - BagGal  150.4 #40 8:44PM
We have done Cape May, Chef Mickey, Hollywood & Vine, Donald's Restaurantosaurus in AK (maybe called something different now), and Crystal Palace, and loved them all. Although, I will say, for whatever reason, we prefer the breakfast ones over lunch. Not sure why, maybe because it is something we can schedule early and do before park openings, and then it doesn't force us to have to be somewhere later on at a certain time once we're already in the parks. - mrsincredible  404.6 #5 9:01PM
We loved akershus and 1900 park fare was cool too. We also loved garden grill. We are trying chef mickeys and cinderellas royal table this time along with akershus and garden grill again. - girlonfire  35.4 #88 11:05PM

Hey does anyone have any pets named after Disney characters or something Disney related? My family has Simba, named after the lion king's Simba, and Hani, she was a stray and We got Hani from "ohana" which means family from LILO and stitch. Hani is the grey one and Simba is the orange kitty.
Cute!! My cat is nammed belle from beauty and the beast! My pups have stuffed Disney toys not names but my mom did Foster a dog we named Mickey. It was a perfect name for him he had a mousy tail. - Polynesiangirl  82.5 #52 4:35PM

We are considering the Poly, GF and the Beach Club... Has anybody stayed at any of these?
I have stayed at the beach club multiple times and it really nice, it's nice how you can walk to Epcot and the pool there is really big and fun, though I haven't stayed at the poly or GF we haven't eaten at both and they are both really nice places - nodell111  153.3 #38 2:58PM
Ooo, tough choice.  We've never stayed at any, but I have done A LOT of research and read reviews on all.  IF I had to choose I'd choose Beach Club (has an awesome pool and Cape May Cafe, mmm, have eaten there), a close 2nd would be the Poly.  Don't think I'd stay at the GF, just not our thing, although we love the 1900 Park Fare Restaurant! - DizneyGirl  354.6 #10 3:03PM
We wanted the poly this year but it was way out of budget. We ate at Kona last year and it was really good. We did 1900 park fare at gf as well but the poly is more laid back and it's a monorail resort so u can't go wrong.....sigh maybe next year! - girlonfire  35.4 #88 4:58PM
If you are looking for a deluxe yachtclub is great its right next to beach club and shares the same Awsome pool ,yachtsman steakhouse is very yummy, boardwalk also a great resort, right across from the other two has some really good dining and akl is beautiful and fun def great if you can get a Savannah view, happy planning:) - tracsant  572.8 #3 5:08PM

Hey I have a question... What do you guys think of the Contemporary? My family and I are having trouble deciding on a hotel for our first trip (July 2013)
To be honest it's my least favorite . The themes in the other resorts is so much better . If you want a deluxe resort I would recommend Wilderness Lodge , Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Polynesian . - skcanfield  355.1 #9 2:46PM
My family loves the Comtemporary! We have stayed there like 5 or 6 times. The first time we stayed there my dad was afraid you here the monorail going threw while your trying to sleep. But he was surprised when he never heard it. I diffently recommend the Comtemporary. - disfansince97  42.3 #78 2:55PM
Any resort on the monorail is great. We prefer the Polly. The theam pool is great. Feels like south pacific and you can sit on beach at night and watch the fireworks straight over the castle. Also a quick walk to Epcot monorail. All are great resorts - radman70  4.1 #483 3:19PM
Didn't like it at all. We were on the floor that is right above the floor containing Chef's Mickey. Noise started at 7 am and didn't stop until about 10pm. I could feel the monorail going through, and I wasn't even on the same side as the monorail. We also were down from the elevator and I got to hear that thing ding all night. I would never stay there again. Constant noise and I wasn't the only one that thought that. I overheard some people on the monorail telling some group they were talking to about the noise. Lastly, every morning when we left to leave, the workers always parked their carts right in front of our door. Only good thing about the contemporary, was the quick service place. - Lelundrial  341.4 #429 4:11PM

Hi everyone and good morning. I have never been to Disney World before, but I'm going with my family in July 2013. Is there anything that my family and I need to do?
1. Get a dole whip. 2. Some type of character dining. I recommend 1900 Park Faire in the Grand Floridian. We ate there for dinner and had a blast. 3. See Mickey's Philharmonic, I actually enjoyed that show. 4. Try the beverly and make sure to record while you do it. - Lelundrial  341.4 #429 11:09AM
Good morning!! Should be a Great trip!! Enjoy!!! - islandRmand  42.7 #3922 11:10AM
if you are willing to put some money into it, might i recomend Pin Trading or collecting Vinylmations? i do both and they are great fun! the rules are very simple and any cast member would love to explain how it works to you and your family. - samndawn67  14.6 #152 8:26PM
