Do you think I'll need a pack at least one sweater or sweatshirt? Does it get cool at night at all? Hard to tell from the weather report how it will feel over there. I get cold pretty easy. Thank you! 😊 Packing away!! 🎉
I always pack a sweater for the evenings and restaurants any time of year! - mrsincredible  791.9 #5 1:24PM
It's been very warm even at night wearing shorts. At most just a light sweater for inside restaurants. - Andrea84  631.8 #7 1:26PM
It never hurts to pack one.  I never wear a jacket in June or September outside, but the restaurants can get cool and you might wish you had one. - DizneyGirl  575.6 #8 1:50PM
I wore one to the airport and wore it on the plane to and from WDW. I didn't need it while I was there at all. I was there a few weeks ago. That way you have one with you just in case. After the rain passes it does cool off a bit - wickedale  319.4 #699 2:55PM

5days!! Guys, it's getting so close! 😃🎉 ...getting a little nervous about the flight. Ha. But I think excited will hopefully over ride the nerves 😊
How exciting !!! I was really nervous when we went to DL in Dec it being the first time I flew to the west coast and I get very motion sick but it wasn't bad at all and the time didn't drag as much as I thought , I'm sure you'll have a great flight and it will be so worth it - tracsant  931.8 #2 2:09PM

How do you Floridians keep your makeup from melting/sweating off and your hair from being a frizzy mess. Even here in Disneyland today I'm having issues. Haha.
As a fellow Californian who has been to Florida, I'll tell you I ended up wearing just sunscreen, mascara, and lip gloss to add some color to my face. I felt like I was wasting other make up! Haha! - duckymomo  35.4 #4879 4:18PM

I use waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I also use just eyeshadow blush and concealer for my bags under my eyes. I don't use foundation or powder because of the sweat . For the hair I just braid my hair. My hair is up to my waist so I do a side braid. - yessy  187.5 #39 4:29AM

Ok TOT Talk: I'm good with the drops of Tower of Terror here at DCA. So do you think it's the same at WDW? For those who have done both, as far as the drops go, is it seem about the same?
I've only done the one in CA a couple times and they seem pretty much the same drop wise, I didn't feel much different , I get really motion sick but I'm fine TOT - tracsant  931.8 #2 1:52PM
The WDW got a better Drop! It is likely a surprise one! Also u are most likely "Float" on your seat when you drop! - otilegna  1777.3 #69 1:52PM
But then they say the drop sequence is random (which i totally agree with it). - otilegna  1777.3 #69 1:53PM
Yes WDW sequence is different each time where DCA is the same. So it's the same dropping, just depends on how many and how far I think. It's all different - brodysmommy  333.8 #627 8:51AM
You'll love WDW but don't find out too much about beforehand so you can experience it. - goofygal  6404.0 #11 5:45AM
You will be fine if you can do ToT at DCA. I just rode ToT at HS a few times this past week. Super fun! Great theming and opening show. If you have memory maker, you can now get your on ride video - wickedale  319.4 #699 9:40AM

Ok, this might be a weird question. But I know it rains quite a bit on and off there. So, I bought a really cute light weight raincoat to bring along. But is it too hot for that? It's really cute. Haha. 😄
Is it breathable? What month are you going in? The ponchos are not breathable and can be pretty uncomfortable during the summer months. Last Nov I wore a breathable raincoat and didn't have a problem. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  853.5 #3 4:30PM
We will be there the first week of September. It seems to be breathable. - Sweet_Irish_Cream  3690.6 #26 4:33PM
Good. September is VERY hot and humid. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  853.5 #3 4:40PM
Breathable is key! - mrsincredible  791.9 #5 3:51AM
You had me at really cute. 😊 like CDKG said as long as it's breathable-you won't need it to keep warm but it's nice to stay dry! - MicheyMouse  322.0 #686 5:34PM
We all brought lightweight raincoats and it was perfect because it did rain for 2 days of our 9 day trip so it was nice to stay dry. Easy to pack in a backpack too because some days there was a chance of rain even though it didn't end up raining. You won't be too warm because the rain does cool it down for a bit. 😊 - MinnieMousewife  735.4 #211 8:35PM
I'm sure it will be better than the ponchos. Got completely soaked once when the rain ran right down the sleeves. Was so hot and steamy then got on the freezing bus. We laughed but it wasn't that funny! It rains really hard in Fla. not like here on Calif. Still wish I was there!! - goofygal  6404.0 #11 9:46PM

How do you keep track of your dining credits? And when you go to pay for a meal do you say if you want to use credit or pay with your card? Because what if you want to save credits for an expensive meal.
Every receipt you get will give you your current numbers. Not sure how it works with the new magic bands and paying, but I would just use my credit card when I didn't want it to count against my meal plan. - mzdisnee  449.5 #13 11:31AM
Whenever you make a food purchase, they ask if you're on DDP. if you don't want to use DDP for that purchase just say you're not on the dining plan. or use a credit card to make sure they don't accidentally take DDP credits anyway. - C-Ticket  38.0 #106 11:34AM
This is the easiest and the best thing to do :) - otilegna  1777.3 #69 12:11PM
We also like to check with the concierge every couple of days. They can print out what you have left. - MicheyMouse  322.0 #686 12:27PM
Yes we do this , we also will figure out what meals we will be using it on , that way when we eat there we know if used it one or two , meals , table service meals are easy to keep track of it's usually the QS and snacks , I've had it happen where on the day of check out we still have a couple QS, so we will just head over the resorts QS restaurant and buy somebody lunch/breakfast , snacks are easier because you can just grab a bunch at the end if necessary and pack them , I think a lot people make the mistake of wasting snacks or using them on things you would be better off paying for , so good snack options that not many realize - tracsant  931.8 #2 12:56PM
Yeah we pretty much have it planned out which meals we will use when but lose track of snacks. Especially during the food and wine fest! - MicheyMouse  322.0 #686 2:35PM
I was wondering the same thing...I'm a little to OCD to wait for receipts lol I did just find an app...DP Dashboard...looks like you enter the number of credits and can subtract them as you use them and always have a running tally! - brittandkell  356.8 #558 8:01PM

Is Enchanted Tales with Belle worth it for those without kids? I've heard there are cool elements to it...but enough to reserve a FP ahead of time. Because I also want to do the meet and greet with the talking Mickey...
I think it's worth doing at least once. You will need the FP more for Enchanted Tales as that is usually at least a 45 minute wait, Mickey is usually not more than a 20 minute wait. - Andrea84  631.8 #7 2:58AM
Last trip we got to MK for rope drop & went to see Mickey as soon as we walked in. Waited only a few minutes & talking to Mickey was a fun way to start the day. Try that if you plan on going early - perdita  71.2 #76 4:06AM
We had a FP+ for this last trip, but didn't make it there :(  Next time . . .  - DizneyGirl  575.6 #8 8:35AM
If u dont wanna use FP+ for enchanted tales with belle. Go there during the last hour of the park. It is sometimes 10-20mins wait time. - otilegna  1777.3 #69 10:09AM

Does the Magical Express take you only from the airport to your hotel? Or does it go to the park too?
Only back and forth to airport. Busses run from hotels and Downtown Disney to amd from parks. - Redman  163.4 #2356 4:07PM
Only to your hotel. (And sadly back to the airport) There are different busses for the parks. - MicheyMouse  322.0 #686 4:07PM
Since you're staying at the Grand Floridian you can also take the monorail or boat to MK and the Monorail to Epcot (with transfer). AK, HS, and DTD will require a bus. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  853.5 #3 4:20PM
Can you also walk from the Grand to the MK? - MinnieMousewife  735.4 #211 9:19PM
I don't believe there is a path that goes through (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). That is the biggest difference between DLR and WDW. There are very few places within walking distance of one another. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  853.5 #3 9:29PM
Nope no walkway from the The GF , there is a path by the boats at MK that looks like it may lead to the hotel but it doesn't - tracsant  931.8 #2 9:36PM

Couple more questions: Where do you get Dole Whips? Isn't there a swirl one, with vanilla too? And what shops have the little charms for the Magic Bands? Any in MK? Thank you!!
Dole whips are in Adventureland in MK. Charms for the magic bands are all over the place. Check the emporium on main street. - DizneyGirl  575.6 #8 11:57AM
Same place as DL. Also at the Poly - SSpringsdvc  5.1 #15224 1:26PM
Yes, they have pineapple swirl with vanilla and an orange flavor. You can also get the pineapple one at the Polynesian.... unless that has changed with the new construction. I heard a rumor about them now being in, or going to be in AK, but not sure if that's true. - PixieDust76  78.1 #71 12:28PM

What time do you suggest getting to BOG for lunch? I hear they are starting to hand out a limited number of "fast passes" for a return time instead of waiting in line the whole time. But I'm not sure what time to get there?
Why not setup a FP online before you go? (Google for instructions.) I believe you can book 30 days in advance. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  853.5 #3 10:35AM
If you don't have a fast-pass, I'd get there before or shortly after opening.  It doesn't take long for the line to get long.  My sister and I got there 30 minutes before opening last year in April, and we were among the first few in line.  I'd just be in that general area and play it by ear.  You'll be able to monitor the line that way. - mrsincredible  791.9 #5 10:38AM

We tried the QS last yr for the 1st time and was really good , definitely weren't disappointed and it was a nice change from the regular QS burgers , pizza ect . We got the sweet and sour chicken , but you could definitely share it , it's a pretty big portion - tracsant  931.8 #2 2:31PM
