How do you Floridians keep your makeup from melting/sweating off and your hair from being a frizzy mess. Even here in Disneyland today I'm having issues. Haha.
As a fellow Californian who has been to Florida, I'll tell you I ended up wearing just sunscreen, mascara, and lip gloss to add some color to my face. I felt like I was wasting other make up! Haha! - duckymomo  35.3 #4865 4:18PM
My make up doesn't get too bad , hair on the other hand gets way out of control , I've learned to rock the chia pet look - tracsant  925.6 #2 6:33PM

I use waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I also use just eyeshadow blush and concealer for my bags under my eyes. I don't use foundation or powder because of the sweat . For the hair I just braid my hair. My hair is up to my waist so I do a side braid. - yessy  187.4 #38 4:29AM
Oh yeah, braids are great! Especially if it starts raining and it makes going on the outdoor rides more comfortable. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  517.5 #338 8:05AM

Ok TOT Talk: I'm good with the drops of Tower of Terror here at DCA. So do you think it's the same at WDW? For those who have done both, as far as the drops go, is it seem about the same?
I've only done the one in CA a couple times and they seem pretty much the same drop wise, I didn't feel much different , I get really motion sick but I'm fine TOT - tracsant  925.6 #2 1:52PM
The WDW got a better Drop! It is likely a surprise one! Also u are most likely "Float" on your seat when you drop! - otilegna  1773.9 #67 1:52PM
But then they say the drop sequence is random (which i totally agree with it). - otilegna  1773.9 #67 1:53PM
Yes WDW sequence is different each time where DCA is the same. So it's the same dropping, just depends on how many and how far I think. It's all different - brodysmommy  331.6 #637 8:51AM
You'll love WDW but don't find out too much about beforehand so you can experience it. - goofygal  6313.2 #11 5:45AM
You will be fine if you can do ToT at DCA. I just rode ToT at HS a few times this past week. Super fun! Great theming and opening show. If you have memory maker, you can now get your on ride video - wickedale  319.3 #699 9:40AM

Ok, this might be a weird question. But I know it rains quite a bit on and off there. So, I bought a really cute light weight raincoat to bring along. But is it too hot for that? It's really cute. Haha. 😄
Is it breathable? What month are you going in? The ponchos are not breathable and can be pretty uncomfortable during the summer months. Last Nov I wore a breathable raincoat and didn't have a problem. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  826.6 #4 4:30PM
We will be there the first week of September. It seems to be breathable. - Sweet_Irish_Cream  3678.8 #26 4:33PM
Good. September is VERY hot and humid. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  826.6 #4 4:40PM
Breathable is key! - mrsincredible  784.8 #6 3:51AM
You had me at really cute. 😊 like CDKG said as long as it's breathable-you won't need it to keep warm but it's nice to stay dry! - MicheyMouse  320.5 #692 5:34PM
We all brought lightweight raincoats and it was perfect because it did rain for 2 days of our 9 day trip so it was nice to stay dry. Easy to pack in a backpack too because some days there was a chance of rain even though it didn't end up raining. You won't be too warm because the rain does cool it down for a bit. 😊 - MinnieMousewife  731.6 #208 8:35PM
I'm sure it will be better than the ponchos. Got completely soaked once when the rain ran right down the sleeves. Was so hot and steamy then got on the freezing bus. We laughed but it wasn't that funny! It rains really hard in Fla. not like here on Calif. Still wish I was there!! - goofygal  6313.2 #11 9:46PM

How do you keep track of your dining credits? And when you go to pay for a meal do you say if you want to use credit or pay with your card? Because what if you want to save credits for an expensive meal.
Every receipt you get will give you your current numbers. Not sure how it works with the new magic bands and paying, but I would just use my credit card when I didn't want it to count against my meal plan. - mzdisnee  445.6 #13 11:31AM
Whenever you make a food purchase, they ask if you're on DDP. if you don't want to use DDP for that purchase just say you're not on the dining plan. or use a credit card to make sure they don't accidentally take DDP credits anyway. - C-Ticket  37.5 #107 11:34AM
This is the easiest and the best thing to do :) - otilegna  1773.9 #67 12:11PM
We also like to check with the concierge every couple of days. They can print out what you have left. - MicheyMouse  320.5 #692 12:27PM
Yes we do this , we also will figure out what meals we will be using it on , that way when we eat there we know if used it one or two , meals , table service meals are easy to keep track of it's usually the QS and snacks , I've had it happen where on the day of check out we still have a couple QS, so we will just head over the resorts QS restaurant and buy somebody lunch/breakfast , snacks are easier because you can just grab a bunch at the end if necessary and pack them , I think a lot people make the mistake of wasting snacks or using them on things you would be better off paying for , so good snack options that not many realize - tracsant  925.6 #2 12:56PM
Yeah we pretty much have it planned out which meals we will use when but lose track of snacks. Especially during the food and wine fest! - MicheyMouse  320.5 #692 2:35PM
I was wondering the same thing...I'm a little to OCD to wait for receipts lol I did just find an app...DP Dashboard...looks like you enter the number of credits and can subtract them as you use them and always have a running tally! - brittandkell  353.3 #565 8:01PM

Is Enchanted Tales with Belle worth it for those without kids? I've heard there are cool elements to it...but enough to reserve a FP ahead of time. Because I also want to do the meet and greet with the talking Mickey...
I think it's worth doing at least once. You will need the FP more for Enchanted Tales as that is usually at least a 45 minute wait, Mickey is usually not more than a 20 minute wait. - Andrea84  629.4 #7 2:58AM
Last trip we got to MK for rope drop & went to see Mickey as soon as we walked in. Waited only a few minutes & talking to Mickey was a fun way to start the day. Try that if you plan on going early - perdita  71.2 #75 4:06AM
We had a FP+ for this last trip, but didn't make it there :(  Next time . . .  - DizneyGirl  568.1 #8 8:35AM
If u dont wanna use FP+ for enchanted tales with belle. Go there during the last hour of the park. It is sometimes 10-20mins wait time. - otilegna  1773.9 #67 10:09AM

Does the Magical Express take you only from the airport to your hotel? Or does it go to the park too?
Only back and forth to airport. Busses run from hotels and Downtown Disney to amd from parks. - Redman  163.4 #2351 4:07PM
Only to your hotel. (And sadly back to the airport) There are different busses for the parks. - MicheyMouse  320.5 #692 4:07PM
Since you're staying at the Grand Floridian you can also take the monorail or boat to MK and the Monorail to Epcot (with transfer). AK, HS, and DTD will require a bus. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  826.6 #4 4:20PM
Can you also walk from the Grand to the MK? - MinnieMousewife  731.6 #208 9:19PM
I don't believe there is a path that goes through (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). That is the biggest difference between DLR and WDW. There are very few places within walking distance of one another. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  826.6 #4 9:29PM

Dole whips are in Adventureland in MK. Charms for the magic bands are all over the place. Check the emporium on main street. - DizneyGirl  568.1 #8 11:57AM
Same place as DL. Also at the Poly - SSpringsdvc  5.0 #15390 1:26PM
Yes, they have pineapple swirl with vanilla and an orange flavor. You can also get the pineapple one at the Polynesian.... unless that has changed with the new construction. I heard a rumor about them now being in, or going to be in AK, but not sure if that's true. - PixieDust76  76.7 #73 12:28PM

What time do you suggest getting to BOG for lunch? I hear they are starting to hand out a limited number of "fast passes" for a return time instead of waiting in line the whole time. But I'm not sure what time to get there?
Why not setup a FP online before you go? (Google for instructions.) I believe you can book 30 days in advance. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  826.6 #4 10:35AM
If you don't have a fast-pass, I'd get there before or shortly after opening.  It doesn't take long for the line to get long.  My sister and I got there 30 minutes before opening last year in April, and we were among the first few in line.  I'd just be in that general area and play it by ear.  You'll be able to monitor the line that way. - mrsincredible  784.8 #6 10:38AM

We tried the QS last yr for the 1st time and was really good , definitely weren't disappointed and it was a nice change from the regular QS burgers , pizza ect . We got the sweet and sour chicken , but you could definitely share it , it's a pretty big portion - tracsant  925.6 #2 2:31PM

Do any of the rides have loops? Like Rockn' Roller coaster? I just can't handle those as well anyone. Yay for getting older. Haha. 😉
Rock'n'Roller Coaster has loops and is very comparable to California Screamin' (except it's indoors and dark like Space). I agree, stay away from Mission Space. I've never been so sick from a ride in my life! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  826.6 #4 4:31AM
I think RnR is so much Screamin , I was prepared for Screamin and felt it didn't make me as dizzy/sick as RnR even with Dramamine I don't know how much longer I can keep going on lol , I'm going to have to find a replacement to go with jay 😂 - tracsant  925.6 #2 5:25AM
RocknRoller Coaster is harder on you than Screamin'. On Screamin' you kind of have a chance to gear up for the loop. RnR is super fast and puts way more pressure on you. Instant headache and haven't been on it since! Be warned! - goofygal  6313.2 #11 5:47AM
No matter how many times I've been on it I'm never ready for that take off and after that I'm trying to recover from it for the rest of the ride - tracsant  925.6 #2 5:48AM

I'm thinking of making our trip an anniversary trip as well. Our ten year anniversary is 2 months later and this would be a fun way to start celebrating. If we tell them it's an anniversary trip do they do any special touches? Anyone have experience or tips for this? I didn't mention anything when I booked the trip, so should we say before hand, or when we check-in? Thank you!
I guess tell them in advance... Sometimes they might gave you a room upgrade (there might be a possibility sometimes). You never know what will happen, just give it a try. - otilegna  1773.9 #67 10:38PM
You might get a "Happy Anniversary" card from Mickey in your hotel room. - GoofyMom77  470.1 #388 1:29AM
Oh my goodness it can be magical. We celebrated our 39th in march this year. I told them it was anniversary trip at the beginning. No room Upgrade but did get a card left I'm our room. I wore my button every day. We had the dinning plan so we would have got deserts anyway but at le cellar we got a special one with happy anniversary topping, at brown derby we got and extra petite dessert and champaign on the "mouse" at Tony's we got special dessert also with happy anniversary. At a drink cart we got free drinks. At Epcot we got called into a office from a cm that had a special call from Minnie Mouse wishing us a happy anniversary and we received a special card along with VIP seating for the American singers in the balcony. A very awesome celebration trip. So make sure you wear your button. Enjoy your trip! - mmddgp  385.6 #17 4:37AM

then do not forget Art of Animation (with Cars, Lion King, Finding Nemo and Little Mermaid)... plus the icons of the decades at Pop century! - otilegna  1773.9 #67 4:27PM
then for the moderate resorts, i have no idea at all because never been there! Deluxe resorts, i love the architecture of the 3 hotels around MK... ALSO, it is a must see is the MARY BLAIR MURAL at CONTEMPORARY RESORT! - otilegna  1773.9 #67 4:28PM
