Sometimes on a bad traffic day it takes us an hour and a half to get to DL, and then if it's busy, it takes about another hour to park and take the tram in (if you don't walk) and get through security and get through the lines to enter the gates (now that they take photos of EVERY ticket holder). On a good day, it could take 15 mins to get there, and no time at all to park and get in. Haha....
WOW! - mrsincredible  730.2 #5 11:44AM
Boat? The Ferry Boat? Not cool! On our MK days, we almost always go to WL and catch that boat. It's so peaceful and we don't really wait much and parking is better!! - DizneyGirl  526.6 #9 1:36PM

Great! Thank you, sounds like it's within good distance after a long day. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
It's maybe a 5 min walk if that , wasn't too bad , you can always ask a CM to drive you in a golf cart if you want, we've done that around The GF property if our building was a bit of a walk from the main building and it was raining they are always driving around , we took a tour of the villas in oct and they are amazing , the whole building is , has lots of Mary Poppins touches , and don't worry about the questions , I had a million for my first DL trip in Dec , plus we love talking disney incase you haven't noticed - tracsant  877.9 #2 7:26PM

Can you pre pay a gift card with the amount you estimate needing for food and items and add it to your magic band? If you estimate that what you would realistically buy would be less than a dining plan...
For my family it's worth it. I cook all year and I'm not cooking on vacation. I'm not going through the hassle of trying to figure out what to eat each day. I'm not a quick service all day kind of girl and neither is my hubby. The prices of some of the restaurant we dine at are extremely expensive and if I had to pay when I got there I would deter from it. Ha ha I really enjoy that all I have to Budget for is my souvenirs and whatever off menu foods I want. - 5disneylovers  717.1 #6 3:43PM
I did a lot of research on this and I think it becomes a really great deal to get a dining plan if you are going to be eating at many of the more expensive restaurants anyway. For us, it didn't make sense because my 2 kids are extremely picky eaters so while we're doing Cinderella's, BOG and a few others it still wasn't worth it. We just wouldn't spend enough on food because we're somewhat limited to simpler and quicker choices because of the kiddos. - MinnieMousewife  713.8 #194 12:08AM

Tables in wonderland is a better value than the dinning plan but you have to be a FL resident, annual pass holder, or DVC member to get one. It had other things like cost $120, gives you 20% off food and adult beverages, and adds 18% gratuity automatically to each bill. So your tip is paid and you are left an extra 2% off your bill (18 + 2= 20). The dinning plan is a lot of food to eat and by the end of your trip you can be to full to eat any more. That's my opinion on that. - SSpringsdvc  4.8 #15218 11:32PM

Now I just need to figure out which plan to get! Thinking of Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, 3 meals per person, per night (what does per night mean?), 2 snacks, 1 drink mug....

I guess I'm confused at how this works. What would you get that would cover breakfast, lunch and dinner for two per day with a snack maybe? It says it covers quick service and Table service. So you don't always have to do table service....
