Did you guys know that Disney Parks has Animation Academy videos posted on YouTube? We just discovered them and we're hooked!!! They are so FUN! We can't wait to try our first class at HS in 156 days! ❀️
Practice drawing without an eraser, and timed (or pack some erasers, lol!). Jonah is a perfectionist like his Momma, so he gets so frustrated at HS. Β I can't wait to check these videos out. Β I'd love to get a drawing pad and fill it up with all Disney characters. 😍 - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 4:04PM
I have a perfectionist too!  It's hard for her to be patient as the drawing is coming together. Yes- good advice to practice with the time. We keep rewinding the video right now! 😳 - BagGal  239.7 #32 6:12PM
I picked up a new sketch pad and some pencils... gonna start watching these videos and practicing! 😍 - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 7:14PM
- skcanfield  511.1 #14 9:50AM
Thanks for the info, I am going to definately check that out! - jacdanfan  9178.6 #3 2:04PM
I hope you enjoy them!  We are loving them!  Wish we'd found them sooner. :) - BagGal  239.7 #32 2:47PM

Has anyone done this at Epcot? My munchkins would love it! I saw that after you pick your pearl, you can have your pearl put into a ring or necklace, etc. Does anyone know the prices of the jewelry? Thank you!!
We haven't done it, but I bet they would enjoy the experience!  I think I've heard it's a little pricey, but I'll let the others weigh in on that piece. - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 3:27PM
The price of the jewelry is what I'm afraid of. 😜 I read someone bought little wooden treasure boxes, from a craft store, to store the pearls. I like that idea. I might do that.  However, I know I'm going to be tempted to buy the jewelry. I just would like to know what to expect $-wise. πŸ’° - BagGal  239.7 #32 3:42PM
we didn't do it there but we did it at typhoon lagoon. It all depends on what type of mounting you get, type of metal(silver gold etc) it's been many years and my daughter got a ring and it was slightly over 100.00 - mmddgp  637.0 #10 4:09PM
Thanks Gayle!   - BagGal  239.7 #32 5:32PM
😘 - mmddgp  637.0 #10 8:17PM
I've done it. It is a lot of fun. We paid around $100 for the pearl and Cinderella carriage charm (I love it and wear it often), I had my own chain. You can get a simple hoop on the pearl for a necklace. This year I've been looking online at pearl cages to get before hand so it's not as much money and I can still pick a pearl  - TinkTinkTink  218.1 #38 4:16AM
The pearl can be one of the things I buy for them.  We can probably find a mounting at Hobby Lobby or such - lala03  68.0 #86 2:15PM
Oh I didn't think about hobby lobby. Haven't really seen anything at Joann's or michales but I might have to recheck!!! Good idea  - TinkTinkTink  218.1 #38 2:19PM

@brittandkell-- This is the belly dancing at Restaurant Marrakesh. Honestly, we're not very adventurous when it comes to food, so I was a little nervous to try this place. Everything was delicious though! Even my munchkins (picky eaters) loved it. Of course, their favorite part was dancing the night away. πŸ˜‰ We look forward to going back!

We love the food at Epcot! We love La Hacienda de San Angel (caramel apple dessert with cinnamon ice cream), Teppan Edo, Le Cellier (BEST steak of my life!!!), Coral Reef, Akershus (breakfast), Restaurant Marrakesh (chicken dish was great and my girls love dancing with the belly dancer), and my family's current fave... Biergarten! The food is great at Biergarten and there are plenty of options,   More...

One of these days, I'm gonna have to try Biergarten.  I have had ressies SOOO many times and ended up changing our plans every time. - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 2:21PM
Biergarten is great. Food is buffet so you can try a lot. I myself am German so I love just about everyting😍 - alfrulz  17.2 #179 2:57PM

Any advice for first time car renters at WDW? We are renting for the first time because we want to try CBR but we don't want to deal with the 7 bus stops. I'm actually looking forward to trying it! I know if you drive to MK, you have to park at the TTC. Any other advice? What do you like/not like about driving around WDW?
We have always rented , I've never used magical express . I personally love it , I love to go where I want when I want without dealing with the buses. Though if they are still working on DTD maybe take a bus there. At MK you can also try parking at one of the monorail resorts that's what we usually do if we aren't staying at one , so we could resort hop while going to MK. At Epcot you can park at one of the resorts also & enjoy walking around them. Parking is always free as long as you are staying on property. It's so easy just to run downstairs after getting our luggage at the airport , hop in the car & go.  - tracsant  1265.7 #2 12:41PM
I'm so glad to hear this!  Parking at the resorts is great advice!  I wasn't sure if we could do that. Great to know. Thank you! - BagGal  239.7 #32 1:47PM
I always rent a car from Alamo which is on property.  That way you can still use Magical Express back and fourth to the airport.   I drive to all the parks except Magic Kingdom because I don't want to deal with parking in the lot and then taking either Monorail or boat back to the parking lot. - Pooh147856  291.5 #24 12:45PM
Exactly what I was thinking about MK. Do you take the bus those days or park at resorts?  Thanks for your help! - BagGal  239.7 #32 1:50PM
We take the bus to the Magic Kingdom because sometimes we are there all day - Pooh147856  291.5 #24 4:31PM
On MK day we LOVE to park at Wilderness Lodge and take the boat over to MK, it's SO peaceful and relaxing (to me anyway)! - DizneyGirl  760.4 #7 4:51PM

Has anyone had Thanksgiving dinner at California Grill? I'm trying to decide between CG (never been there), 50's (been there 3 times and it's my munchkins' number one fave), or Whispering Canyon (been there twice and we enjoyed both times). I'm also trying to decide on which park. I know they will all be cray cray on turkey day, but it will be our last of 9 days in the parks so we'll be there to  More...
- BagGal  239.7 #32 4:34AM
Crowd calendars actually show HS as busiest and EPCOT as least crowded, however, these are just estimates and are not always right ;)  If you are just going to people watch and not expect to ride many rides or see many shows do your favorite park the last day.  Sorry, I can't help with the dining, I've not eaten at any of them.  The one you ultimately make reservations for, might just be the one you can get, I'm imagining that those reservations fill up quickly! - DizneyGirl  760.4 #7 4:57AM
Thanks Diz!!  I thought about Epcot because there is more room to walk around!  I just thought it would be more popular than HS. That's great to know!!!!!  I agree about your dining advice!  I might not be able to be picky!  πŸ˜œ  Thank you for your help!!! - BagGal  239.7 #32 5:04AM
I'd check the crowd calendars maybe a month before going and see which one. I too, thought with more room at Epcot it might be a best choice for such a crowded time.  Also, be sure to get there first thing, I don't know that it happens over Thanksgiving really, but crowd levels are reached around Christmas for sure and they don't let people into the parks at that point. - DizneyGirl  760.4 #7 5:17AM
Okay, thanks!  The thought of it being so crowded that they don't let people in scares me!  Haha!  πŸ˜³ - BagGal  239.7 #32 6:00AM
Hey BG! One year we did EPCOT on Thanksgiving. I believe it was the same year we met up. It wasn't  bad at all. We ate at Rose and Crown. They offered a special menu for Thanksgiving along with there regular menu. I noticed when I was making reservations a lot of places offered that.  Good luck with your decision.  - disneycm  650.3 #9 5:22AM
Ahh, I loved that we got to meet up!  Thank you for your help!!  That's so good to hear!  I looked at Rose and Crown for Thanksgiving. We've never been there and the turkey menu looked good. Did you have lunch or dinner there?  Did you catch Illuminations?  The more I think about it, maybe Epcot would be best. When it's crowded, you don't have to wait in lines to explore the countries!  :) - BagGal  239.7 #32 5:57AM
We did lunch there.  Then we did a lot of shopping around EPCOT. πŸ˜³πŸ˜‰ - disneycm  650.3 #9 8:15AM

We have a countdown! Has anyone stayed at the Wilderness Lodge Studio Villas? Thoughts? Thanks a bunch!
AWWWWWW YEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!  We stayed at WL in Oct for our anniversary a couple of nights, but near the lobby not in a Villa.  LOVED the ferry to MK, I think that was my fav part of the whole experience, just feeling so close to MK and the neighboring resorts (which we visit as much as the parks these days, lol!) - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 2:45PM
😍  I love WL but we've never stayed there. I love the ferry too.  I'm working on my proposal. 😜 - BagGal  239.7 #32 3:00PM

Have you guys ever done the Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot? I wanted to do the Marceline one at MK (the one Magster did), but kids have to be 16 so that one will have to wait.
I really enjoyed Behind the seeds, done it a couple of times. The last time we had a good group of people on our tour. The more involved the group gets the better the tour gets. - TheDad  89.7 #74 5:42PM
Good to know! I'll be super involved! πŸ˜‰ Thank you!! - BagGal  239.7 #32 7:43PM
Hubby and I loved the behind the seeds tour!!! We were the only ones on our tour :). It is cool to walk through the green house. - mzdisnee  521.3 #13 6:02PM
Loved it, do it!!! - Betsyboo  21.5 #158 6:27PM
Yay! Thanks everybody! I think my munchkins would like the behind the scenes look at the ride. They really like the ride and I heard kiddos get to set ladybugs free??? I'm adding it to my list. Thanks again!!! - BagGal  239.7 #32 7:42PM

Hi guys! We have always stayed at either POR or POFQ. We're looking to try somewhere new next time, but there are 5 of us. I'm interested in 2 connecting rooms at Pop or a family suite at Art of Animation. Any thoughts? We've never set foot in either, but I've heard great things about both! Thanks y'all!
We love the family suits a AOA. It's a great resort. - 5disneylovers  1022.2 #5 5:29AM
Which one did you stay in? My girls want to try the Nemo ones. Were you far from the bus stop? Is the bus stop for AoA far at the parks? I heard that Pop had the last bus stop in the parks. I can't carry my tired munchkin that far! 😜 - BagGal  239.7 #32 5:54AM
Have not stayed at AkA, but the theming and decor is very good, slightly more impressive than Pop's (adults will appreciate Pop's nostalgia, kids will like AoA's movie themes) since it's newer. Both bus stops will be far away, since they're values. Exact spot varies by park, but I think AoA is closer (though the difference is probably negligible). Pop rooms are nice, but small. I would imagine a suite at AkA is ultimately cheaper but I don't know for sure. - C-Ticket  39.7 #114 10:39AM
Thanks for your help! I never paid attention to where the bus stops are in the parks until someone else mentioned having to walk to the very last one for Pop. That would be a long walk after closing MK. I really do want to stay somewhere new though. Thanks again!! - BagGal  239.7 #32 12:34PM
I love pops! The kids enjoy it also. We travel with 8 and book two rooms connecting. What's nice about this is you have 4 actual beds and two bathrooms. There is room to go between each other and you also have two small fridges. Now there is no microwave or coffee pot but we do very little eating at the hotel, only breakfast. The food court can be crazy at times but no big deal for me. Only had issue with buses once or twice. AOA is a great resort also. Never stayed but visited. Their food court is nice, pools are awesome. Their suits are more than two rooms in cost. Happy planning - mmddgp  637.0 #10 11:35AM
Thanks Gayle!! Yes, it's less to stay in 2 rooms at Pop than in a suite at AoA. We never eat in our room, so we wouldn't miss the microwave, but we would miss the coffee pot on the mornings I'm dragging the hubs out of bed. ;) What do you think of the busses to and from? I like the idea of only one bus stop, but is it far from the rooms? Do you request a close room? Do you always get the connecting rooms? I know they can't guarantee them. Thanks for your help with all my questions!! :) - BagGal  239.7 #32 12:31PM
I have always got my request for connecting rooms and once it twice I paid for preferred rooms which was really nice. We were close enough to the food court to go and get coffee in the morning and bing to the room and close enough to the big pool. It cost about 12.00 per room per night extra. So worth it and when you came home at night it was not far to your room from the bus stop. The buses to and from we're not bad at all, but we are not really early risers so I think we miss the rush of people trying to get to the parks at opening. We don't always request a close room because the kids like being further away and having the smaller pools all to them selves. - mmddgp  637.0 #10 3:35PM
Thanks for your help!! I appreciate it!! - BagGal  239.7 #32 4:22PM
Your welcime! Hope it helps😘 - mmddgp  637.0 #10 4:57PM
We have stayed at the little mermaid and finding Nemo. Nemo and cars are close to every thing - 5disneylovers  1022.2 #5 5:04PM
Oh good! My girls want to stay in Nemo, but Cars looks so cool too! They'd actually love the Little Mermaid rooms, but we can't afford two of those rooms. 😜 - BagGal  239.7 #32 5:16PM
LM is a long walk to the main area and big pool unfortunately. I mean I guess it isn't as long as the 90's bundling is to Pop's food court but it's still long after you've been hoofin it all day and your dogs are barking! - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 6:26PM
Yep. I'm trying to avoid those longs walks. Gotta keep the hubby as happy as possible. That means shorter walks, shorter waits, lots of good food. :) - BagGal  239.7 #32 7:47PM
We know how to keep 'em happy! 😜 - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 4:00AM
Our next trip to DW with the boys, we have decided to stay in the Cars suites. Close to everything and a boy theme, lol! - mrsincredible  1061.6 #4 6:24PM
Those Cars suites look so cool!! I love the colors and the details!! - BagGal  239.7 #32 7:46PM
