My daughter first road this when she was 3 1/2. She was scared but tried it. It instantly became her favorite ride. She does not like fast rides like space mtn, BTM, etc. You should definitely try it. There's so much more to the ride than the big drop at the end. Remember..it can't be that bad if they didn't have safety bars before! - Disneyaddict

Arrival day is usually DTD but first full day is always MK! First ride is space mountain!
We ALWAYS do MK on day one. Once we go through the train station tunnel, make the turn on to Main Street and first see the castle, we know we've really arrived at WDW. - EXP626

For me it really depends on where we are staying, what park has EMH and where we have dinner reservations. In August the first park we went to was MK because we stayed at BLT and it had EMH however the first park we are going to this trip, will be Epcot on tuseday since it has EMH that night. - nodell111

We went from riverside to French quarter last trip with no problem. Took our luggage to bell surface and took a cab over to the new resort did a new check in and went to the parks. When we got back we just called bell services and they brought theluggage right up!
We do it every trip. We start if at a value resort and the we go to AKL. You pack you stuff and go about your day. Go to your next hotel and your belongs will be there to greet you. Magic - 5disneylovers
