I live in TX but grew up in so Cal going to DL was a huge part of my life. Having an AP a majority of my life. Although far away I'm now passing the tradition onto my own 2 sweet children.

New here but I've been on mw DL for a while now. We are planning our first trip to wdw in dec and wondered if anyone has followed any tour plans? I'm currently reading several books and they all Have recommended tour plans. Do they really work? Some seem to backtrack a lot and I really don't want to do that. Advice for a newbie please? :) thank you
Before my first trip to WDW I studied book after book too. But when we finally arrived, I was completely overwhelmed! The best advice I can give is know that you will not be able to see/do everything. Prioritize with attractions unique to WDW on the top of your list. Also, add some flexibility into your schedule. You may plan on visiting MK one day but discover it is crazy busy! If you have hopper passes you can decide to visit another park, like Epcot, instead. Also, don't get too hung up on the differences between DL and WDW, I made that mistake! Just appreciate WDW for what it is and have a magical time! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  868.2 #3 8:44AM

The first week of Dec. is AWESOME! The crowds are really good. We will be there at the same time this year. You are going to love it! - poohbr1205  21.1 #150 11:20AM
Making dining reservations is a must, unless you only eat at counter service places...just go at your own speed...my first visit in 2010 was very overwhelming, and don't expect to see everything your first visit...you will be just fine! Everything is convient if you don't rent a car...there is bus service, as well taxie...happy planning! - islandgirl58  259.0 #24 10:06PM
Welcome to the FLip side ☺Just remember that WDW is a lot bigger than Disneyland and they are both unique in their Own way. Try not to compare. Do the attractions that are new to you first and do not expect to see it all in one trip. Its just not possible. Stay on property if possible and make dinner reservations. You are going to have a great tome! Happy planning ☺ - bearlove  69.1 #3847 10:58PM
