Hello fellow mousewaiters! I'm trying everything I can to get to WDW! Does anyone know how much it costs for a family of four, to upgrade the free dining, if staying at a value but want regular dining? Only one would be on the children's menu. Thank you! ;0)
The dining plan is more than eating conservatively. Say if a child could eat some off of your plate. Unless the running plan is free, then it's worth it, of course. Email me your days and I can tell you exactly how cheap you can go for! I am a huge penny pincher, so we get to go more often! - DizneyGirl

Hello! I have a question for all the foodies out there!! We have gone to disney in 07, 08 & 09. Each time we went we got the free dining, and we love it! It is part of the trip for us. We enjoy being able to order what ever we want on the menu and not worrying about the price! We are thinking about taking a trip this july! We have never been during this time of year and we were wondering if the free dining plan has ever been offered during the summer? And, is there other foodies out there that don't use the dining plan? How do you do dining without spending an arm and a leg? Thx! ;0)
We don't like the dining plan, it's more expensive for us than paying cash. For breakfast we bring cereal and buy milk there, I also bring snacks, sometimes we share a quick service meal because the portions are very large. Dvc members and Disney visa card holders get 10% off at select restaurants also. We still enjoy a table service meal for dinner most nights. I also found out last trip that the heat makes me not as hungry. I enjoy the freedom of getting the food/snacks I want without having to make sure it's part of the dining plan. I also bring a filtered water bottle to the parks. - Andrea84

Since summer is peak season for them,i dont think they will offer it then. Do the deluxe dining plan, you will be able to do a lot of character meals and eat at a majority of the sit downs. You can eat at the higher end ones too, but then you have to use two meals power person. - WildForWalt

I've gotten the free dining the last two times we went in August. Not sure about July.....I like it because I feel its just easier and cheaper because we do many sit down dinners. And you don't have to worry about bringing extra money for food. - disneychk

Every trip I always get the DP. I always pay out of pocket. I do the math each time whenever I plan a trip and plan which restaurants I want to go to and see how much that meal will cost me, I always end up saving money with the DP. I love the fact you do get a dessert every meal but I am at Disney where dreams come true and I love the fact that I don't have to budget for food. I just enjoy😊. My advice to you is fIgure which restaurants you want to eat at, figure what you will spend and see if the DP works or not (remember to figure in desserts.)✨✨✨ - majickingdom79

Hot, hot and hot and I'm a Floridian. I would recommended water park in the day. But if u can't Parks in the morning and evening. If staying on property pool hopping is always fun. Make sure to get rain gear (u never know) and I would take sandals; in case it rains so u wont walk around in wet sneakers. 8=•) - crzymickeyfan
