We did! He proposed to me inside the castle. We were eating at CRT and had window seats. During Wishes, which we could we perfectly, the server. Fought out an engraved glass slipper with rose petals and my ring inside! He asked with the fireworks in the background! It was amazing! - mkigos

Last year we went at this time, thought crowds would be small also. Wide world of sports had a pee wee football tournament and a cheerleading competition. Crowds were very big, didn't know it was going on. Might want to ask if something out of the ordinary is scheduled for the time you're there.
In 2011 the taping dates were Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd. I'd guess they do it the first weekend in December? They also set aside Sunday in the event that the weather on the Friday or Saturday isn't good parade weather. - DizneyGirl

We stayed here a couple of years ago. The resort is beautiful and those pirate rooms are so cool. That being said, the pirate rooms are the furthest from the main house so mornings are a pain if you like to get morning coffee with you refillable mug. There is a lot of bus stops, and yours would be the last one. Last to get on and last to get off! It was a pain with small kids. We booked ten days there and only stayed five. We ended up changing hotels for more convienence. Hope this helps.
I like that it has more of a tropical vacation feel. It's spread out and has grounds with beaches, grass, rivers and trees. Instead of everything being cramped and stacked on top of each other. Try to get a room closer to the food court though for convienence. - Westcoast
