Don't do it!!!πŸ‘€πŸ™€πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ‘Ž!!!!!!!!
If you have other options, I would avoid it. 20-23 will be manageable, 24th till after the new year is crazy. We did the 23-30th one year and never again, it was crowded and people were extra rude, and it's one of the most expensive times. - Andrea84  625.8 #7 5:04PM
we did Spring Break a couple years ago....and that was CRAZY! Is it similar to that kind of crowd? - ncjal  201.8 #33 5:29PM
More crowded than that, MK can reach capacity on Christmas day. - Andrea84  625.8 #7 6:47PM
If your going to make the trip out for Christmas week at least stay for NYE, it is very crowded but the NYE celebration is worth it in my opinion even though most days of that week will reach capacity - nodell111  165.7 #44 7:13PM
Thanks for the suggestion - ncjal  201.8 #33 1:48PM
We have done Thanksgiving the last 3 years and it's crowded. We were able to do almost everything we wanted. My son was in high school and we didn't want him to miss school. All the Christmas decor was up and it's beautiful. - disneycm  530.7 #10 3:32PM
that is what we are thinking too. We don't want the kids to miss too much school. (they will be in 7th, and 11th grades) - ncjal  201.8 #33 4:05PM
We had a great time and would definitely do it again. πŸ˜€ - disneycm  530.7 #10 4:56PM
Avoid it like the plague! - DizneyGirl  546.4 #9 6:30PM
Seriously, we've been over spring break, never again and thanksgiving, never again. And although we've not been at Christmas, I've read it's much worse at Christmas time. I don't really see how it can be that enjoyable. You can see all the Christmas decorations without going the last part of December. - DizneyGirl  546.4 #9 6:33PM

Towncars are a little cheaper than cabs. And with Disney Express, you have to leave soo much earlier and wait & wait for luggage. So I'll just use Orlando Airport Towncar or Fl Towncar, I guess. Thanks
Sorry, have always used DME out of MCO. - mrsincredible  768.9 #6 6:38PM
ME, rent a car or we get a cab service and the past few years we have used Orlando MTS. - mmddgp  374.9 #18 7:52PM
We have used a Mears shuttle and it was pretty quick. If you have more than 2 people and a toddler it would be more cost effective to use a cab or town car. - kayxobelle  156.4 #48 8:23AM
Agree. We use mears when it's just the two of us but the cab service if it is the 8 of us - mmddgp  374.9 #18 8:45AM
Town car round trip is around $120.00 & you get a 30 min. grocery stop. The car would only seat 4 adults. So with a larger family it would be more for a van or SUV. I just find them cleaner than a cab and usually nicer drivers who usually speak English. - lghr  35.8 #111 2:01PM

Tusker house character breakfast is the greatest !!!
I'm not sure how it is now, but when we went in 2011 & 2012 and had free dining it was only like $20 or $40 more to do the moderate. Something ridiculously low anyway. I vote for moderate!! You need to do a character meal or two, don't do too many, they are time consuming and take away from time in the park. I like 1900 Park Fair, food isn't great, but the characters are great! - DizneyGirl  546.4 #9 11:17AM
Yes!! When we went in early Dec 2012, we got the free dining, and upgraded from a value to POR (Royal room) for like $30 bucks. We always like to start our day with a character meal or other TS (Boma, Kona, etc.) But we are early birds, 7:30 ressies typically, so we can be in the park when they open at 9:00. When we do morning EMH, we will just eat in the parks or at the resort. - mrsincredible  768.9 #6 12:01PM
If it it the 4 of you defiantly stay at moderate for free dinning. It is a much better discount. Your room discount will only Be about 15-20% - mmddgp  374.9 #18 12:05PM
Do a character Dining!!! It is fun!!! Tusker House and Akershus are my favorite. cinderella royal table is fun as well, but i really go there for the interior shot!!!! - otilegna  1746.0 #67 9:36PM
And i dont know about free dining offer as i never experienced it... But if the upgrade is just like LOW price, go for the upgrade! (Just keep in mind, if ur doing the DELUXE DINING PLAN, it is a lot of food!!! Stick with the Dining Plan, the Basic one with 1 TS and 1 QS!) - otilegna  1746.0 #67 9:38PM

Have you ever liked to ride roller coasters? Also have you never liked to eat chocolate? What is your favorite ride?
Forgive my tardiness. I have been busy. - 5disneylovers  774.2 #5 7:35PM
Good morning Patricia! When was your first visit to WDW? What does your hubby think of Disney? - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  801.5 #3 5:25AM
My hubby loves Disney. He picks our dates to visit every year. Make reservations. After I tell him which restaurants. Packs the suitcase. I could go on. My first trip was in 1992 - 5disneylovers  774.2 #5 7:20PM

I have stayed at POFQ several times and I love it. It is smaller than the other mods. It is pretty at Christmas but I really don't care for the clown decor they have all year. I haven't stayed at POR in 20 yrs but I have friends who love it and always stay there. I don't think I would like Caribbean Beach. Too spread out and a bunch of Bus stops. I like Pop just as well as POFQ for the money.
The only moderate we stayed was Coronado Springs, it was nice , very big and depending where your rm is can take a while to get to the main building and the pool area , Christmas time is a perfect time to go :) - tracsant  912.3 #2 7:59PM

Port Orleans Riverside. Love the atmosphere. So peaceful. - goofygal  6139.3 #11 6:01AM
Port Orleans Riverside. We have stayed there 3 times. The whole family loved it. It was much easier to get around. I did not feel like we had to walk miles to get to bus stop or food court. We also love the atmosphere. Being able to take a boat to Downtown Disney is awesome! - leveretttltl  34.0 #117 6:27AM

Only problem when we went in Oct 4 yrs ago was the heat!!!!!!OMG. I was surprised it wax still that hot.
October can be busy, but it's not crazy busy. There are so many great reasons to go in October (weather, MNSSHP, Food & Wine Festival). It's my favorite month to visit! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  801.5 #3 6:16PM
Weather is a big part. We wanted warm enough for water parks but not so warm we felt like we were back home in AZ. The friends were going with are big into wine so they'll like that part. And the kids will all enjoy the halloween decor (as will the adults) - timonT  250.8 #26 11:44AM
High temps and the humidity drop (but not completely) in October. Being Arizonans, I think you'll be okay! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  801.5 #3 4:08PM
Totally agree! October was a great Month to go! It is busier around sweetest day weekend and Halloween but the earlier part in October was great - mmddgp  374.9 #18 6:20PM
I need to ask what sweetest day is? - timonT  250.8 #26 11:42AM
It is kinda like valentines day only in October. It is usually around Columbus Day or the weekend after. - mmddgp  374.9 #18 11:48AM
Is it a Disney thing? Or even and American thing? - timonT  250.8 #26 5:38PM
Umm I think it is a "hallmark " thing. You know another holiday to sell more cards, flowers, candy, jewelry !! - mmddgp  374.9 #18 8:00PM
I'm excited to pack some halloween window decorations for our room at Pop. I am bummed that our week is blacked out for free dining. Still hoping for a room discount ( they only have discounts through oct 3 right now) - timonT  250.8 #26 11:45AM
We were there last year oct 12 till the 19th. It was pretty hit. Vrowds were on the hugh side a couple of days they added hours to the parks we were in because of the crowds and at HS they added fantasmic for an extra show - Bakerjars  237.5 #28 4:31PM
Yeah we noticed the parks close on the early side that week - timonT  250.8 #26 5:39PM
And I'm hoping you saw a few more people due to Columbus Day? - timonT  250.8 #26 5:41PM
