this isnt Disney related but since I think of u all as my dear friends .. my question is does any one here homeschool their children and if not how do u feel about homeschooling.. my collin is autistic and I'm thinking of homeschooling will be better for him .. would love some feedback.:)

This is a very important decision. I read that your family and sister may not fully support your idea. I think with home schooling, you need some form of support group. Since your child is autistic, you should reach out to those who have experience with teaching children with autism. Being a parent is challenging enough. Being both parent and educator takes a great deal of patience and determination. Proving your family wrong is one thing but prioritizing what's best for your child is another. There's nothing wrong with home schooling. I have experience with it. I do not have experience with teaching children with autism which certainly presents different challenges. I'm sure you could find ways for him to socialize with other kids and get that much needed interaction. You seem to be on the right track with this and I wish you luck. I am a speech therapist getting my phd. If you do home school, you need to familiarize yourself with different behavioral strategies, language development strategies, and social interaction. It will be difficult, but you can do it. Look for workshops in the areas of language, psychology and teaching - jackskellington34  8.8 #216 11:55PM

what do you guys think of saratoga springs or old key west ...we might have to change resorts cause of our dates ..so I'm thinking of upgrading..
Family Atmosphere= OKW. Upscale= Saratoga. My parents just stayed at Saratoga, didn't really like it. But they LOVE OKW. :) However, they said the food court & pool is better at Saratoga. But the rooms are smaller at Saratoga. - TangledNdisneY  321.5 #13 9:24PM
I love OKW its very homely and Saratoga I only stayed 1 night 2 years ago. This year ill be staying in Saratoga for 2 nights and Bay Lake 1 night too. I like both but my favorite is AKL. - yessy  98.7 #48 10:18PM
I like both but Saratoga has much nicer food court. OKW is beautiful and you can get to DTD by boat. The two resorts are right next to each other also. OKW doesn't have elevators either. Tough choice though! - Jalex239  379.8 #7 10:40PM
