Just wondering and interested in learning something new, how long are cast members shifts? Do the characters have certain times they are allowed to be out? Is it different if you are a face character over a full costume? I always wondered and thought I would ask.

They closed DL no one in the park was evac'd. Only those not thru security or in the esplanade where moved out to Harbor Blvd. Because we were in the park at rope drop there were probably only maybe a thousand people in DL for about 3 hours. - jacdanfan

Has anyone ever split their week between Universal and Disney? Is there trasportation between the 2? Any help is appreciated.
From what I have heard, you could rent a car for a few days, take a taxi, or there is a shuttle company. I am sure someone else might know prices better, but you can get a car for around $40 a day and parking is $15 or so. Also depends on how many people you have what your best option is. - Andrea84

Yes, our last trip we did. We stayed at the Royal Pacific for 3 days before heading to WDW. We almost always get a rental car, just so much more convenient. A hint for west coast travelers. We usually fly into Fort Lauderdale on jetBlue. The price differential between FLL and MCO pays for the rental car! - jacdanfan

Also, if you are going to Universal for more than 2 days, get their inexpensive Annual Pass with block out days (not that much more). You can make two yearly trips if you schedule right! - jacdanfan

Earlier my husband saw a commercial for Universal and promised our 8 year old a return trip to Disney this fall with a side trip to Universal. Was anticipating next year, now to think about planning for this year.
There putting in so many new rides this year at universal .. there also doing a waterpark features.. so I'm excited cause the minions will be there to love those little guys.. so I recommend a vist if u can..:) - Disneymom36

Thank you for all the great posts this week. I had a difficult week with the funeral of my sister in laws 2 1/2 month old grandaughter.
