One of today's projects for our upcoming trip, pin boxes for Joshua's pins. One says keepers, the other traders. We never know what to do with the pins we don't have on the laynard, we only take 10 pins per day into the parks to trade. Now the rest will be safe back at the hotel in our boxes.

Last night I was getting a few things put together to take to Disney when a memory from a past trip hit me. Remember the year of a million dreams? We were there that year and Joshua must have been 4 yrs old. He was approached by a Cast Member and told that they wanted to grant him a dream. The biggest dream she could offer him was a private meet and greet inside Cinderella's Castle with Cinderella herself. My little Joshua, all 100% boy that he was, replied by 'No thank you.' The Cast member started laughing and said that was a first for her. The memories!

During that time a cast member overhead us wanting to ride Everest (then brand new), but FP were gone and single rider was waaay too long. She asked how many in our group and whipped out 4 FP for all to ride! Great memory! - timonT

A little help from my MW family. Our original plan was to leave Disney for 1 day and head to Universal, but I am not sure now. The transportation seems outrageous to go, plus the expense of a day trip seems excessive. Any thoughts? Any suggestions about transportation?
Universals is a okay place but doesn't compare to Disney !!!! I would never leave Disney to go there !! If you have your heart set on it , I would wait & make it a seperate vacation . - skcanfield

My Mom & our friend left Disney for a day at Universal last week. The Mears shuttle was $19 per person but ate up a lot of their time in the parks. The Universal hopper ticket cost well over $100 each. If they were to do it again, they would take a taxi and spend their time in the old park (not Islands of Adventure, which they found very busy and unorganized). We actually go up there for two days each vacation. We have used mears when there is just the two of us and when we have the whole family(8-10) we book a taxi(van). It still is cheaper than renting a car and less time consuming. It is definatley different than Disney but we si enjoy it there also. Happy planning. - mmddgp

Happy 9th Birthday to my Joshua! This picture his from his 3rd birthday trip, 6 yrs ago. We live in WNY and were hit with a surprise October snow storm that left us with no power for 5 days, so we packed it up and headed to Disney to celebrate and have a great time.

I am worried that I might be dining reservation obsessed. I have reservations for lunch at Rosé and Crown Pub and just found a dinner opening so switched it. I am doubting some of my reservation times but with 56 days to go I guess I can tweak a few things.
I tweek my dining ressies over and over until about a week out. I'm always looking for better times and some times looking for openings at places that had none when I first tried. - DizneyGirl
