It's crazy it has been almost a year since some of us were asked to be among the first set of guests to test the Magic Bands. Since then, I have acquired quite the collection of bands, each representing a different resort stay. I may have a slight addiction. ๐Ÿ˜œ I'm still pinching myself about our 10 year anniversary trip in 26 days!! I decided to re-activate all my bands... if they are gonna  More...

You guys may have already heard the news coming out of WDW this morning... ย "Disney just announced that construction is beginning on a brand new Frozen attraction at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. The new attraction, which replaces Maelstrom, will take guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film. The pavilion will also include a royal greeting loc  More...
I think that is a shame. The world showcase is learning about countries and their culture. Frozen has a very tenuous link to Norway and this seems a bit overkill in my opinion. ๐Ÿ‘Ž - rink2  74.2 #74 11:18AM

We are all here because we share one thing in commonโ€ฆ the love of all things Disney.  Everyone is welcome here, and even though this side of the lounge was dubbed MouseWait Florida, all Disney related posts from around the world are welcome here on the FLip Side.  East coast, West coast, no matter the continent, Disney is the common thread that binds us together and keeps the child-lik  More...
I agree! I love learning about the differences between the parks, and the opinions/reviews shared here are very, very helpful!! However, sometimes there seems to be a "my park is better than your park" feeling in the air. - BagGal  223.7 #31 11:11AM
No one has said anything bad!  Please donโ€™t take what I posted the wrong way.  I just wanted to express how I felt on the subject, because I donโ€™t want to see anyoneโ€™s feelings get hurt.  Maybe I am just being overly sensitive, but I have seen a few comments lately (specifically comparing DL to DW) that have come across rather strong.  Of course itโ€™s okay to share opinions, reviews, and differences between parks/resorts โ€“ thatโ€™s one of the things I love about this lounge!  Are there rides or attractions that could be improved in one park or the other?  Of course!  But, just because someone feels something from one park isn't up to standard in comparison, it still may hold special meaning and precious memories for someone else.  I am just asking that we are all mindful of how we express differences of opinion, no matter the subject.  I donโ€™t think any of us would want Disney World to be an exact replica of Disneyland/DCA or vice versa.  Both parks are special and unique and should be celebrated, because both represent what we all hold dear โ€“ Disney! - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 12:40PM
Yes I love how both parks have some same things and some different! That's what makes us want to travel to both! The reason we go to dl 2-3 times a year is because it's. 6-7 hour drive and that's all. It saves us tons of $ to drive and not fly. So for WDW we have to pay for 4 flights, soon to be 5, so it's a lot harder to save that much more $ for it. But yeah, I don't think k one park is better than another.. They are both unique and everyone has their own preferences but it should never be a debate of which park is better. They are all awesome!! :) - brodysmommy  334.5 #627 12:44PM
I am especially looking forward to visiting DL for the first time next year!  I think about it all the time and it's over a year away, lol! - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 12:48PM

It's 12:00am CST, and time to make our FastPass+ selections for our November trip. Sorry to report the Frozen ladies will not be a part of my first ever medal tour. I was in the system as soon as the clock struck 12:00, and there were no FP+ available for Anna and Elsa for any times/days we will be at MK after the race. I find that extremely hard to believe and a little frustrating, especially   More...
I saw some booked at midnight too. It's the +10 day people ahead of you - timonT  255.2 #25 10:57PM
Disney really ought to change their policy on this. I realize it will be inconvenient for those going earlier/staying longer than me, but I (and countless others) do everything right and still aren't afforded the same opportunity as others. I don't even have little girls, so honestly it's not that big of a deal for me to see them, but it breaks my heart for the mom of little girls who's only wish is to meet Anna and Elsa, so mom counts down the days, stays up late and logs into the system at the exactly the first moment that Disney allows her to, and all the FP's are already gone. It's not at all fair to that family. If Disney is only going to allow a limited number of FPs for a ride, attraction or meet and greet, then they should open up the system one day at a time so that everyone has the same chance (vs giving those who are arriving earlier and staying later a head start). Families are being penalized because their trips are shorter than others?! Maybe they can't afford to extend their trip. So disappointed in them, not for me, but for all those with kids who did everything right and it still wasn't enough. Shame on you Disney! - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 3:59AM
I understand too, that people can just wait in the standby line, but again, they penalizing families forcing them to stand in a line for 4-6 hours after they did everything right to try and get the FP in the first place, and wasting an entire half afternoon, probably in the heat with impatient little ones. Not my idea of an ideal vacation. - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 4:28AM
Nothing was available for me either. Glad we did it in summer. It's ridiculous - 5disneylovers  852.8 #4 4:31AM
They were trying some thing were you would go first thing in the morning and they gave a fast pass with a time to come back and maybe they will still have that. The wait was never over 90 mins in August when we went - dapserhouse  23.9 #138 11:00AM
Not gonna lie but this is one of the reasons I dislike the level of planning necessary to do a WDW trip. I am a hardcore planner but having to plan ahead or be penalized for not doing so seems ridiculous. Some people like to go with the flow with a few planned events sprinkled in. One should be able to do as such without worrying about FP+ being gone at the stroke of midnight - missmimi90  1378.2 #91 1:58PM

When we visited in June, they were able to get all the same ones as us the morning of (including Anna and Elsa). Hope you get them!! โœจโœจโœจโœจ - MinnieMousewife  737.2 #211 4:11PM

Would recommend Pirates and Pals - it was such fun. I wasn't overly impressed by the snacks but it was worth the money. Will try a different extra next time, probably not a dessert party. - rink2  74.2 #74 4:20AM
Gayle - We LOVED Pirates and Pals... will be doing it again with Jake (his first time) the next time we take the boys to WDW. - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 5:59AM
I did have my doubts but after mrs I recommended it so highly I decided to book it. Definite worth it - we were 4 adults and a 7 year old, not sure who enjoyed it most! - rink2  74.2 #74 6:21AM
I'm so happy it did not disappoint!! - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 6:54AM
Do your Halloween parties get sold out quickly? Do they allow you to go in park early like DL does? - secretagentangel  1242.7 #101 1:07AM
I think it depends on the day as far as whether or not it sells out quickly... I would think the days closest and on Halloween go the fastest (but I could be wrong). You can enter the park with a party ticket at 4:00, party starts at 7:00 - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 6:11AM

Baked up a little magic this evening using the cookie cutters I got from WDW last year... first time using them, and they worked great. The boys chose blue and green for the Mickey heads. The cookies were a huge hit... they didn't last long! ๐Ÿ˜
They look so good! Love cut out cookies. Have a great night - mmddgp  409.8 #17 6:27PM
SO stinking cute!! - ncjal  207.8 #34 5:58PM
My cookies never look like that. Never - 5disneylovers  852.8 #4 11:08AM
There was a time I couldn't do it... couldn't get the recipe down, couldn't figure out how to lift the shaped dough without tearing the cookies, couldn't get the icing right... I kept at it and practiced a ton, and now they come out pretty good each time! ๐Ÿ‘Š - mrsincredible  802.6 #5 11:30AM
I'll just stick to store bought yay - 5disneylovers  852.8 #4 5:06PM

@Tracy and Susie, thank you so much for the sweet cards. MW friends are the BEST kind to have!! When I came home today, I noticed our neighbors' cat stretched out on our front porch. It made me smile and think of Meeko. Not a day goes by that I'm not reminded of him. He is missed for sure!
Very sweet! - disneycm  554.1 #10 3:19PM
