Need MW input! I am thinking of changing hotels again, I kind of want to stay at 2 different hotels for our stay. I am looking at a mod resort or villa studio. I have CSR booked for the week but kinda want to try French Qrt. And input would help! Thanks.
During our latest trip in August, we were going to change DVC hotels twice, to experience different places, but we decided against it. The main reason being, we didn't want to take time out of our vacation to check out of one hotel, and check into another. But that was just us. :) Hope that helps! - TangledNdisneY

Staying at the French quarter in 19 days :-) i'll tell you how it is. We chose it because it's nice and small. Its just my boyfriend and i, seemed adult-friendly. - rlpologal89

we switched resorts on our trip. I didn't really want to but couldn't get the night of the Oct 1 (b/c of the 40th anniversary) at the WLV so we did 5 nights at WLV and 4 nights at the treehouse villas. They made it so easy to switch they brought and held everything until the room was ready including the groceries and cold stuff too. Good luck We really liked being able to experience two resorts. So my dd has no idea we are going to Disney for her birthday! So I have been going along asking where she would like her party. She says chuckie cheese . She looks at me and asks why I don't like that place, I said I only love one mouse and it is Mickey. She put her head down and said, well I was going to say that mouse but I know he is so far away and it's millions of $ to go, so I picked a place close! Oh my heart melt, I am worried when she finds out she may pass out in sheer happiness! I had to share with you guys.

We will be there dec 5 to the 10th it's a short trip this time but we had to in order to make it work for her bday. Has for chuckie I just remember the ball pits and think of germs. I haven't been since I was a kids but WDW parking lots is way cooler than ol chuckie to me. I am just happy she showed signs of greatfulness. Sometimes I worry she isn't getting how lucky she is. Tonight showed me some of that side and makes me feel like I may know what I am doing at this parenting gig. I will def post her reaction and lots of live photos!!! - cheekymouse

Well after lots of thinking and changes we changed our hotel to French Qtr and the other half at yacht club. And we 86'd the some of the dinners. We kept the one we think she will like most and that is spell? Auskers in Epcot. And we kept BBB in MK so she will have her make over then when she is ready we will go back to the room and it will be filled with balloons and a cake with a few gifts. I want her to enjoy the park so I kept it simple and she will be 6 I dont want to peak before 16 . We are also doing Epcot this year and we have never taken her so I think with all the holiday shows and we are doing Mickey Xmas thing too. Man I better rest my feet now! - cheekymouse

@ cheeky - that's exactly what I was thinking. As DizneyGirl said also, those character meals, while fun for the young kids, can sometimes make you feel like one meal is running right into the next and they can seriously cut into your park time. You just have to go w/ what is most important to you on that particular trip. Speaking of Chef Mickey's: we haven't been in several years - but that has only to do w/ the fact our kids are 13 & 19 and our needs/preferences have changed - but it was a great experience (very fun & upbeat) and the food was good. We liked breakfast better than dinner. - SueBoo

Just checked how many days till WDW and it says 32 days! I haven't said a word to the 5 yr yet. She will flip out. I didn't tell her this time since she asks me all the time " are we going to the air port and fly to Disney today". So I am working on a plan to tell her. Have a great morning MW!

My husband is a coach and travels alot and we travel with him sometimes. So I am going to tell her we are going with Dad to coach so the travel will be easy to cover up then I was thinking of telling with a video and put on the ipad for her to surprise her when we are in the air or jus wait till she sees the Disney bus pull up to take us to the best place ever? I got my girls Halloween costumes in last week from England ( Granny sends them from the London Disney store, for some reason the quality of the dresses are much better and fancier than here) well the Tangled dress is just great, but the Jesse costume for my 20 month old is big. She has such short legs ( like me) that she cant walk in the pants. I was thinking of just using the shirt and trying my skills to make the pants out of some old jeans and cow print fabric. I can't sew but I can hot glue gun.. Lol do you think glue gun would hold?
Go to a micheals or Joanns and get "stitch witchery" it makes anything an iron on! I used it to make "patches" for my daughters bookbag, it worked wonderfully! Good luck! - amajam

I made my daughters Jessie costume last year I bought a white shirt and added the yellow fabric with red sequins and cow print fabric and made the chaps fringe and all and we bought the Jessie hat at the Disney store. She's going to wear it again this year since no one from her new scho has seen her in it. - cowgirlminnie

So I have been in and out of hospital ( not serious just rough pregnancy ) and when I got to the car this super cute bag was waiting for me! My husband said when he saw it it looked perfect for my carry on bag for the plane ride to WDW in 47 days!

Kind of a random post but today I thought of a reason I love WDW that hasn't crossed my mind before. Family, yes I think about my family there but it's one place for sure is 100% family. It shows not all family values are broken! There are parents out there that try and keep the magic of childhood still alive for their kids as long as they can. That happy loving families still live. So when I walk around Disney I see families that just want to enjoy that magic with their kids.

I agree with this post 100%! Disney is all about family. My family goes to wdw every 2 years. It is the one vacation that we will always do because it puts a smile on everyones, ages 3 to 53, faces. The years in between our wdw trips we go all over the world. But amazingly we always run back to wdw!! Gotta love that disney magic~ - Jazdaz88

It's 4 am and I can't sleep, all I keep thinking about dole whips and all the yummy food of Disney! 48 days seems so far! I picture myself eating for two and taking pictures of the kids. My only job this trip!

So I just switched resorts again. I moved from CBR to CSR but our 1st night we get there we are staying at the all start movie resort. They couldn't get us the whole stay at CSR. I have never stayed at a value resort but I am really looking forword to trying it out. I am going to try new places at Disney. I will miss you this trip poly but we have to see other places. Plz tell me I didn't make poor choices

We couldn't get the pirate rooms so I the standard one then I looked at the standard at CSR and they looked nicer so I went with the other. I we could of stuck with the pirate rooms I would of stayed. I really wanted French qrt but they are booked too. I use my FL room rate so slim pickens the week we are there , but can't complain something better than nothing! - cheekymouse

We stayed at CBR last week, stayed at CSR last year, would pick CSR over CBR. The pool are both great, CBR might be a little neater, it's nice for small kids, 5 and under because there is a kiddie and the main pool is zero entrance. CSR had those queen beds and newly redone! - DizneyGirl

I miss when ABC use to have a Disney movie every Sunday night. It was great to snuggle with the family and enjoy Disney. I wonder why they don't do that at least the Disney channel? They play movies randomly . The old days when i was a kid in the 90's. Lol

There's a Disney outlet store near I-4 highway. We have found pins fairly cheap there and you can trade those and not miss them much or buy 2 of a kind since they are usually clearance priced! Starter sets come with pins already on them too! - Jalex239
