OT I know but had to ask a honest group of people. My dd went to the doctor and they are looking into her having a learning problems becouse of add. She is going into 1st grade and has trouble with letters still and can not focus at all. I just don't know how to take it all in. When I talk to people about the add they get very upset that I am thinking of putting her on meds, I don't know anyone with children this young with add. But it's hard to see my 6 yr cry becouse the 2 yr old is reading and she can't. Any advice?
Is it her overall behavior or just the difficulty in learning /reading? My daughter transposes letters (normal thru 2nd grade), has trouble focusing, doesn't enjoy reading. I had to change the way we did things. She reads 2x a day for shorter periods of time. I question what she has read after every 1-2 sentences, and give a lot of positive reinforcement. It made a difference! She is doing way better. Your baby may learn differently and that's ok. I would try everything you can before putting her on meds. Research different ways of learning or have her tested for dyslexia. If she is dyslexic, she can learn in different ways and become a successful adult! Don't worry! Thanks for the advice, we are not going to meds for now my doctor who doesn't even advocate to use Tylenol unless you really really have to, wants to wait till school starts and see her new teacher sees. I have had her eyes checked and cut out foods also. Mia is very smart but she can't seem to remember a thing becouse she won't focus when your talking to her. I was hoping she would grow out of it but seems to be getting worse. I pulled her out of a great school and moved houses to a diffent school to see if she can get different teaching there. We work really hard with to help her stay with the class and it seems it isn't showing. My 2 yr is just very clever and to be fair she loves to learn and "homework" so it's diffent for her and they are not the same person and I never try and make them but it hurts Mia's feelings when she sees Izzy do all these things with such ease and she is only two. Sorry your having a hard time the ultimate decision is yours. I would like you to know both my children have ADHD. Both are on medication. Before putting them in medication I lived at there school. The amount of problem they had in school was distracting to the children made the teachers upset and almost loose my job. I was always going to school for problems. I am want to do what best for children. What kind of parent would I be if I did not. - 5disneylovers

I notice that many are missing WDW even more than usual. I know how you feel, on the last night at WDW I take a stroll around the resort and try to take it all in, then I am the last one in the room to do a "final check" but secretly I am tearing up and pulling it together so I don't let the kids know how much I am bummed.

Need advice, we were planning to go to WDW in late sept 2013, well now we have the option to go to England in summer 2013, but we can only do one. My husbands whole family lives in England but our family loves WDW. I am truly torn. What would you do?

I tell myself that then I see all the posts of people in the parks and I think how I miss it and when I ask our kids they pick WDW. The cost of England would be a trip of a lifetime at WDW but England would be for a month. Then I think of flying for so long Seattle to WDW is long let alone the uk. Now that I think about it,I think a lot of themes are too mature in the pirates of the caribbean movies for them to be "Disney" I mean,I understand that they are (hence the name of the ride at Disney..lol) but some things don't seem too Disney-like and are quite scary.lol. Went to Darby Days where I live and they had rides, I never ride them but we got tickets. 3 rides for 15$ wow! I never go to these and save the money for Diseny. Also how safe are rides taken apart every weekend? Kids hated it and were freaked out! But they love it at WDW
My town used to have a travelling carnival come by every year. My mother never trusted the rides for the exact same reason you don't trust them. Long story short...my next door neighbor got seriously hurt on one of the rides that malfunctioned (kiddie coaster) and that was the end of the carnival for good. Now I think the same thing....how do I trust a ride to be properly assembled if its taken apart on a regular basis?? I don't & haven't let my niece or godchildren on any of them if I can help it. Too overprotective? Maybe. But the kids go home safely. - Tinkerbell1265

Not Disney but had to share, today my oldest graduated and is now a 1st grader. She leaned over and told me not to worry she won't tell people she graduated high school so she can stay at home with me and not move out. I then explained to her she doesn't have to move out when she graduates highschool. She then said oh I thought the cops made you! 😊
