I am a big disney fan and have been to WDW at least 8 times. I have been to DL 3 times. My first visit was when i was 13. I am now a proud mommy of a 6 year old son (Riley) who is starting to fall in love with Disney as well. I took him in March 2010 for

I can't remember where I read this, but someone stated that they used gift cards to pay for their trip to wdw. I can save $160 if I do that but have to enter 46 gift card numbers. Just want to know if this really works before I go buy the cards this week! I'm booking our trip through wdw website too. Thx!
I would also like to know this answer. Thanks! - teaching76  0.6 #0 9:30AM
SAMs club has three $50 gift cards for $142.98 saving $7. It adds up if you can use them to purchase your trip!!! :)  - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.8 #90 9:54AM
Thank you for that feedback!!! I didn't think about how I would get the money back if I had to cancel it. Good point!!! - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.8 #90 7:51PM
Question about this. I see some of y'all said you save by paying with gift cards, does Disney offer discounts for using gift cards? Or am I missing something else? Lol  - txdisneymomma  120.4 #66 12:30PM
If you have a Target card you get 5% off you gift cards If you are a SAMs or Costco membership you can save too. - DizneyGirl  937.5 #8 1:38PM
SAMs club sells 3 $50 gift cards for $143. So you save $7. The more you buy the more you save. So we used them for our tickets and also our annual pass since we had to buy 4 for our family. When your spending that much the extra savings per $150 adds up  - brodysmommy  430.9 #509 2:32PM
I'm wondering if we can use the gift cards for tickets through dvc...hmmmm I saw on Facebook too Disney couple gift cards. Soooo cute  - TinkTinkTink  262.5 #33 3:57PM

Huge favor....Can anyone who's going to the parks get me a map from all 4 parks? I will pay for them. I cant figure out how to get maps off the WDW website anymore and so much has changed since i was there last.
or even a scanned copy to my email? - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.8 #90 4:07PM
I'll send you maps when I get home if that's ok. No need to pay for anything. Just send me your info pls.  - Schramke  664.7 #12 4:56PM
Yay schramke, we only went to MK and Epcot. Said that got ride of those maps but I believe I was able to get two sets but are packed away...and outdated...before new fantasyland went in - TinkTinkTink  262.5 #33 6:46AM
You can't get the deluxe maps mailed anymore, but if you have access to a printer you can print them off. They aren't as great as the ones from the parks though.  - DizneyGirl  937.5 #8 11:19AM

I have a few more questions. 1) What things can my almost 3 year old do at the parks? Or what can she not do?2) Does the free dinning include table service or is it just quick service?3) Anything special to do with my 3 year old daughter? I know i want to take her to see the princess' but not sure where the best place to go. Im not interested in Cinderellas Castle dinning. Thanks in advance! Hope   More...
For princess Dining, i recommend AKERSHUS Royal Dining. It is not that crazy compare to Cinderella royal table. Also it is 1 point for Dining plan (compare to 2 for CRT). Also, i like their food. Uts been a while since i was there so they might change menus - otilegna  2680.3 #48 4:31PM
Yes!!! We LOVE akershus!! My little gal thought it was AWESOME!!! - brittandkell  487.6 #437 8:12PM
Dining plan has different levels, we usually got the delux I believe. Included one table service, one quick service, and one snack per day we were there. Not much help on kids since we only have fur babies (cats) but when you can book fastpasses you can get the frozen princesses. Belle, Alice, Auara, Mulan, marry poppins are in Epcot. Lines can get long. Get a sheet by the maps with times sheet and get there 10-15 mins early at least. Think you can still fast pass for Cinderella and rapunzle in MK, fairy godmother comes out by the castle, and then there is a good furry character spot in Epcot (no princesses), get there early or fastpass - TinkTinkTink  262.5 #33 6:06PM
I have taken my kids since they were 6 weeks old. They may miss out on rides but the atmosphere will always be entertaining. We could usually find a ride for DS and a nearby ride w/no height requirement for DD. Love the rider swap and DS loves riding everything twice - timonT  410.8 #20 2:30PM
My 10 year old son will get to do that! Lucky him. ;)  - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.8 #90 6:19PM
1. A 3 year old can do quite a bit. They can ride every ride in Adventureland, and many that are in the rest of MK. They can really enjoy everything at AK (minus 2 or 3 rides), she might like Dinoland, with the awesome play area!!  Plus lots of shows!! Don't forget the parades! 2. There are many different dining plans, they are listed on Disney's website; one includes 2 QS meals plus 2 snacks a day, another includes 1 QS, 1TS and 1 Snack a day, but there are others.  3. If you want to see the Princesses without dining, there are meet and greets in MK where you can see several princesses. I'm not sure if she'd sit still for 10 minutes, but you could take her to the Barber Shop in MK and get her some hair gel and 'pixie dust' in her hair. - DizneyGirl  937.5 #8 6:20AM
Great ideas! If we go to the barber shop does she have to get it cut? Im not ready to cut her curls yet. ;) Put she might like the pixie dust! - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.8 #90 7:44AM
Nope, no cut required. You don't even have to make an appointment, but I would recommend it during the busy times. - DizneyGirl  937.5 #8 7:57AM
Thank you, I'm going to try and get her to do this! I think she will like her hair...just not having someone touch her. ;) - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.8 #90 1:15PM

I am beyond excited today!! My other half gave me the ok to book a trip to WDW in the next few weeks. So far the prices are best Sept. 6-13 (the 13th is my daughters 3rd birthday) Will the park be busy at the time and do you think the dining plan will be free at this time? I am sooooooooo excited! This will be his and my daughters first time. Plus it looks like i get to stay on Disney property ins  More...
How exciting!!!!  The first week of Sept is one of the best weeks of the year to visit (crowd wise).  Fall is my absolute fav time to go, they are going to love it!! - mrsincredible  1190.2 #5 1:02PM
We have gone that week before and the crowds were very low and we got free dining! It was a bit warm though.  - MicheyMouse  359.3 #645 1:50PM
Thank you all for your responses! So it sounds like it's gonna be hot but less crowds and maybe rain. Now my concern is if it's going to be too hot for my 3 year old?? I'll have to buy a fan that sprays water. Do you know if Epcot still has their water mist areas?  - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.8 #90 8:04PM
You'll be fine. My 3 old was not bothered we go in August.  We had one n he sprayed everything but himself  - 5disneylovers  1152.8 #6 2:50AM
Take a break mid day, when it's the hottest and you'll be good. Duck in the stores and indoor attractions during the day. - DizneyGirl  937.5 #8 3:41AM
The kids are resilient!!!! It bothers us more than them. EPCOT has the sprinkles and Mk has the great splash zone, I always took baiting suits or extra clothes and them cool off in those areas. I wish the other two parks wold put splash areas in. Ak used to but I haven't seen it in a while. The cooling fans are great but my new favorite products are frog toggs and cooling towels.  - mmddgp  949.2 #7 8:46AM

I am in need of help finding a hotel near Downtown Disney. Its been several years since ive stayed off of Disney property i think it was called Regal Suns but i cannot find that hotel anymore. The only way i can go to Disney World is most likely if i stay off property. :( So any recommendations to a hotel near Downtown Disney?? I wish i could afford a Disney hotel. Thanks in advance!!!
Comfort inn orlando on palm parkway.  It is a disney good neighbor hotel right across the highway from the Disney property entrance on the Disney springs side.  They have free breakfast with make your own Mickey waffles!!  Very reasonably priced when we were there in October.   - kansasgirl  4.0 #605 10:42AM

I stayed there in November. I was by myself and felt very comfy and safe. Great breakfast. I'd definitely stay there again.  - JenGwen323  2025.6 #77 8:47AM
My sister is going in just a few weeks and she's staying at the Hilton on Buena Vista Way which is in the Downtown Disney area. I found that they have buses that take you to the parks and one bus does not take you to every single park there's a bus that goes to Hollywood studios and Epcot and then there's a separate bus that takes you to the other two parks. It looks like a pretty nice place but I don't know what the rates are. If you email me I can give you some tips on some really great places to stay for dirt cheap, are you going to have a car? - DizneyGirl  937.5 #8 11:36AM
Check priceline. My sister in law got Hilton for 49 a night - bearlove  144.4 #2811 12:54PM
If you are still looking if you subscribe to mousesavers.com newsletter they have a deal with the  B resort and spa in the Disney springs area. It's 25% off the nightly rate and resort fees are waived. They have shuttles to all the parks. I've not stayed there but it has good reviews. You have to book by January 20th.  - rink2  200.9 #42 11:10AM

Good morning. If you mean the bold words, they are "stickers" that you can purchase with your Disney points in the MW store if you have any. Or they can be gifted to you if anyone has any extras. There are a few MW ers on here that collect a few extra and rak them. They are pretty cool toCollect on sticker nights if you can make it up to midnight. When is the best time to go to Disney World for price and crowds? I was thinking end of September for free dinning or beginning of December for crowds? Any thoughts?? This is just wishful thinking. :)
I have seen some of the wait times and it looks like February  is the best time to go. We have gone at the end of September and it's not to bad. But getting some restaurant reservations are a little harder because of the free dinning so you might get where you want - alfrulz  18.7 #177 10:18AM
We've been both of those times and have found the crowds very manageable. Love the free dining in September and the decorations in December. - jacdanfan  11394.3 #5 10:48AM
In September the first two weeks are slower than the last two. And there's usually free dining. - DizneyGirl  937.5 #8 2:57PM
Sept is slower than Dec, Sept will be much hotter and you'll get food and wine festival and Dec you get xmas decorations but the possibility it may not be free dining. Like Melissa said, the first two weeks of Sept are much slower (the slowest time I've seen it). - Andrea84  713.9 #10 5:16PM
