has anyone been on a Disney cruise before Aw are going on the wonder in Jan and we won't get to go to their privet island because we are boarding in Miami we always go to Disney world and I have never been on a cruise I get motion sick so I'm kinda afraid for.it to be five days any suggestions and advice and anything else exspierence wise would be greatly appreceated :-)

I went on a Disney cruise and loved it. I did get motion sickness on the boat but I took dremamean. Sorry not sure how to spell it. But after I took it I was fine an able to enjoy everything. Just something you can look into - Schramke

I went on a cruise many years ago (not a Disney one) and my doctor perscribed these patches that you put behind your ear for motion sickness....they were amazing! Never got sick or woozy once...I think they were called Transderm Scop? Check them out! - ncjal

good morning mw friends we are on our way to wdw we are in GA I think next time we will fly instead of drive this weather is nasty I hope the weather in FL is better ugh and please keep me in your prayers I found out at two this morning. child hood frowns passed away it was really hard to make the decision on weather to post pone our trip or go ahead and leave and we chose to go ahead with our trip I hope mickey can help lift my spirits he will be missed though . I hope everyone is having a better mornin then mine is :-)

hi mw keeps I went to wdw for the first time in .Oct09 and then again in Nov.09 now we are just now able to get back fineally with a very limited budget I have not tried the dole whips but learned about them on here so I'm excited to try that and there are some rides I haven't ridden yet only two weeks and I'm a bit nurvous any suggestions on getting back in mickey mode and does anyone know about weather and crowds ??
In 2 weeks you should be good on the crowds...the weather you will have to check up on..this past week has been very cold but suppose to warm back up this weekend! (Hopefully it will stay warm) - justGoofin

Welcome!! Crowds are lower now that the holiday are over and definitely bring a few heavier shirts/sweatshirts/light jacket as it can get nippy in the evenings. Dole Whips are at the Aloha Isle stand in Adventureland. Go up Main Street hang a left at Adventureland walk a little ways and Aloha Isle should be on your right. If you reach POTC you missed it. I'd sell my brothers dog for a Dole Whip right now. Lol! Have a great trip!! - Tinkerbell1265

ok I have been to Disney twice we are going for our third trip in jan I have seen alotta people talk about the dole whips what are they and where can you find them ?? thanks everyone for the help
There are only two locations: Aloha Isle, just past the bridge inside Adventure Land in MK and Capt Cooks at the Polynesian Resort food court. They are softserve pineapple flavored ice cream. You can get the pineapple swirled with vanilla or orange. They are delicious! - Jalex239

We will be arriving 121 days which seems like an eternity I am so ready for this vacation we are driving from Tennessee and decided we did not want to leave our dog here I know Disney has boarding for. Dogs but its a little pricey does anyone know of a cheaper place we can leave him where we van check in on him and he will be well taken care of with out the Disney price??

Ariel is right. Check the Orland weather about a week before you go and that'll give you a good indication of what it's going to be like. Crowds are low so wait times for rides will be virtually non-existent. Have a great trip!! - Tinkerbell1265

We've gone the last 2 Januarys and it was really cold. We definitely needed jeans and long sleeved shirts during the day and sweatshirts at night. It was too cold to swim, so I guess you never can predict the weather. Have fun! - disneyrunmom

I always go in Jan. The weather is beautiful usually in the 70s during the day and have a jacket or hoodie at night it gets in the 50s. Plus very little rain if any. The crowds are lite no waits for rides. Except the usual toy story, Peter pan, the norm. We either walked right on or our wait was 5 mins. Have a great time. - Schramke
