Maleficent69 and I are 8hrs removed from WDW and half way home, but my parents are still there for the rest of the week. They just sent us this photo and said water was getting around ankle deep in fantasyland. My dad says it felt like they really were, under the sea.

I know it's later than I've usually been doing this, but day 3 is officially a wrap. Another great march at SWW this morning, my parents had the opportunity to see me march for the first time as well, lunch at earl of sandwich (yummm) and then spent the rest of the day at magic kingdom. Had a great couple of days, met some really nice folks, but as we all know, time at Disney always seems to fly by. It's time for bed and rest up for the long drive home.

Day number two is in the books. Had another successful march this morning with SWW at HS, checked out of the all star sports resort this morning and we joined my parents here at Saratoga springs, then spent the rest of the day/evening enjoying Epcot. Had a great day today. Completed my first SWW troop by marching in the parade, then maleficent69 and I spent the rest of the day at HS. Ill sign off for the evening with maleficent69's second favorite moment of the day (me in the troop was the first)

Well, after what turned out to be a 17 hour drive with leaving at 12:30 this morning and driving straight through, maleficent69 and I finally made it to WDW. Big day tomorrow with Star Wars weekends starting, so ill say goodnight with a pic of tonights sunset from downtown disney.

Have a question for anyone that might know. We've been on pirates three times this week, we've heard the mermaid music, saw the mermaid on the beach (I won't specify in case folks haven't seen that part yet) but we thought mermaids were gonna have a bigger part in the ride. Are we just not looking in the right spot or is the beach the only visible part?
When you hear the music (right before you see the skeleton) there are projections of mermaids swimming along either side of your boat. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  397.3 #6 2:16PM
They did have the projections off one day we were there , but yes I will admit it was easy to miss- I thought it would be more as well . Look for the projections where the water bubbles up to the surface - LateforWonderland  21.4 #124 2:31PM
However I have heard that they were working on AAs for the grotto but it just wasn't working out well. Water and these AAs were getting along - IndyandMarion  914.3 #1 3:35PM
In the area near the skeleton there are bubbles, like something is moving, under water to the side of the boat. I asked a cast member about it last week and he said the skeleton, projections and bubbles are it, mermaid wise. - LilyBellesMom  15.4 #147 3:40PM
