Question: I wanted to do the Mickey grand welcome package for my kids from the disney floral and gift shop, it's super cute, they come into your room (when your not there) and place all the stuff in your room, it includes a 22 inch mickey and minnie, a personalize blanket, a note from mickey, a whole bunch of treats, a picture of all the characters, an autograph book, a banner and balloons, and even fairy dust sprinkled every where, it is $315 dollars , I wanted to know if anyone has done this and if it's worth the money?
I never done it but i want to cry just thinking about it :) it sounds so magical and amazing so if you have the money to spend definitely get it, cause I know I'd love to have that surprise !!!!! MOST DEFINTELY starts a Disney vacation off right!! - Boardwalkgirl

I've heard that you can make some special request at your hotel, has anyone ever done this? And what did you request if you did?

Definitely ask for a "preferred room". It costs a bit more than the standard room but it's closer to the main hall & pool. With standard room you could end up at the other end of the resort and it's a hike to the food court & main hall. Plus preferred rooms are closer to the buses so less of a hike to your room after a long day in the parks. - Tinkerbell1265

Is there anything I can request from the carribean resort, I am staying in the pirate room so I know the island is far from thr main building, I read elsewhere someone requested that fairy dust be sprinkled all over the room as if tinker bell was there and they fulfilled that request, dont know if I would request that,although sounds pretty cool, I was just wondering if anyone requested anything like that. - Yoho11

Dole whips come in pinapple, vanilla, and pinapple-vanilla also. They are available at Captain Cooks at polynesian. Possibly various local Dole/ice cream places, as i've discovered. - C-Ticket

Walmart. But if you don't want to carry things in the park you could rent a locker. That's what we do and it works out great! Just food for thought. - Schramke

Stayed in the pirate rooms April last year. Mattresses aren't very thick, but didn't bother us any. Rooms are great! Kids pretended to captain the ship beds every night! My 6ft husband did bump into the ship bedframe a couple times when he stretched out, tho! - brhimler
