So I plan on going to Disney. In April. November. And next February. All for at least a week. So is the annual pass worth it. Thinking about upgrading once I get to the parks in April
Definitely worth it! You'll get discounts on hotel rooms, merchandise at alot of the stores, and at some restaurants. If you use the past shop Disney Parks app you'll receive the AP discount there too. I hear the pass is supposed to be going up in the next week, so if you can go ahead and purchase before price increase. Not sure if it's true, but if you can save a little it's always good . It's good 12 months from the date you activate at the park. I've saved alot of money with it. - disneygrandma1  1600.2 #3 11:58AM
The pass is just under $800. They'll mail it to you and you can activate it when you get to the park. I just bought 8 day passes with hopper for for my kids for our July trip and it was over $900. - disneygrandma1  1600.2 #3 12:14PM
For me I decided it would be worth it if I were doing 13 days at the parks. It would be about the same as a 10 day + a 3 day ticket with park hopper (just about $15 more for the platinum). Everything else would just be perks. I've been enjoying the perks. Made my once in a lifetime trip turn into trip 3 in 26 days! - teaching76  71.5 #0 1:00PM
Absolutely!!! If you can get more than two trips in definately!! Plus the discounts on hotels, food and merchandise totally!!! - mmddgp  1692.1 #2 3:05PM

Has anyone ever stayed in the royals room at Orleans riverside ? What did u think of them. Is it worth the extr money. What about the walk to the room from the buses and main building I heard it's horrible. Any info is appreciated. Tia
I've stayed in a royal room and loved  it. POR is one of my favorite resorts & I think the royals rooms are worth the money. I stayed in building 90, the bus stops right behind it so it was a very short walk.  The walk to the food court was short, just across the bridge.  If you decide to book it request building 90.  - perdita  74.4 #89 3:32PM
We stayed in there last Dec and are staying again this Nov. I think it is very cute. My 10 year old daughter loves it. I think it's worth it to try at least once. It's decorated very nicely. They tend to be in the Magnolia Bend, which can be a bit of a walk, but we don't mind. This Nov we are staying in the rooms with a river view, which I'm told is closer to the food court and buses. I can let u know how it goes. - Gatorgaljlb  10.0 #260 5:52PM
I agree, it's a beautiful resort. We stayed in a royal room which was about a 10 minute leisurely walk from the food court, main bust stop and main pool. It was a lovely walk although a bit spooky at 1am after EMH through the woodland area! The room was nice but I don't think I would pay the extra again. The novelty of the firework headboard soon wore off and by the end of the 2 weeks it was feeling a little dark and dingy. I would certainly stay at POR again but wouldn't choose the Royal room.  - rink2  331.5 #28 4:34AM

Question for everyone. Thinking about doing a Disney cruise next year. Eithier in February or in August. What are everyone's tips for the cruise. And things I should know

Question for ap holders. Is it worth it. How often u go. I'm from New York. And plan on going a few time next year. And I have long weekends off from my job every 5 weeks. Thanks for any info :)
We only go once every other year, and we get the ap all the time...its worth it if you go more then once and year, or stay long period of time...we stay three weeks, so it really helps... - islandgirl58  508.5 #19 6:05PM
If you go more than twice for more than a couple of days, it is worth it. Plus you can use it for discount.  - mmddgp  1692.1 #2 11:22AM
We are pondering getting the Premier pass when we get there in December, as we are planning to make (at least) one trip to WDW in December, a trip to DL for the Tinkerbell half in May 2017, and out family trip in October 2015.  It makes sense to me, and  is starting to see the benefit too ๐Ÿ˜‚ - AngiMouse  490.2 #484 7:37PM
If you are planning on an AP pass be sure to look for room discounts instead of buying a package. You may be able to add a dining package with the AP too. You'll have lots of options. We once got the Premier pass and when we went to WDW got a package: room, 10 day ticket, and free dining. We did not use our ticket and was able to apply the full cost of the ticket to our next year's APs. We did this to be able to get free dining. - jacdanfan  14586.6 #5 9:06AM
We aren't able to buy the AP's until we get to WDW unfortunately. ๐Ÿ˜“ (as far as I know the only way to buy them is at the parks). BUT we will definitely wait to book our DL trips until we have the pass! - AngiMouse  490.2 #484 6:31PM
I am a DL regular.  I have a Premier because we go to WDW once a year.  It comes out cheaper to have the Pass for WDW then to buy tickets.  I especially like that we go to the Park as soon as we get off the bus and check into the hotel, and have the last day at the Park, while we wait for the bus to take us to the airport. For me, the Premier AP is worth it because of the use it gets.  - Winnie111286  33003.9 #1 9:51AM
That is the cool part about it that is drawing us to get it too.  We want the flexibility. - AngiMouse  490.2 #484 6:32PM
This really depends on the level of pass you have and how many days you will be going to the parks for. If you have a signature, your looking at $589 difference. If a signature plus, $390 difference. If you're a deluxe, $839 difference. A ten day park hopper w/ water parks and more is $527+ tax. The hotel discounts would help justify the difference up to a premier - wickedale  441.0 #563 10:03PM

So I'm going to Disneyland in May. And wanna take a trip to disneeyworkd next year. When hopefully all these new rides and everything is going to be done. Anyone know when it should be done. Like Star Wars part and frozen ride. And the avater is ak
Good question i have no clue! Was hoping the frozen ride would be done before September! - disneyworldsbiggestfan  72.0 #91 12:22PM
The frozen ride should open before summer and the AK nighttime river light show will open by then too. Star Wars and Avatar land are still a long way off.  - JenGwen323  2194.6 #86 1:58PM
Yea well it won't be til next year. So all good  - woody143  36.6 #133 2:22PM
Star Wars Land will be like probably 2019? (Just in time for Episode IX). But other than that you will experience the new stuff in WDW (Frozen should be good, not sure if the new Soarin will be up as well) - otilegna  2860.6 #58 4:07PM

Does anyone know if Disneyland still has the just married and just engaged buttons. Because Disney world doesn't have them anymore. Just happily ever after.
They got rid of Just Engaged two years ago and they got rid of the Just Married ones last month. Only Happily Ever After now. - missmimi90  2064.3 #92 3:29PM

Does any one know if Disneyland operates like disneeyworkd. With the park tickets. Like u can leave and come back to that park later in the day. If we want to leave for a bit.
Just get a hand stamp - Lelundrial  937.1 #233 4:45PM
Yes you can leave anytime in the day and come back but you have to have a hand stamp before you leave the park so when you return you have the hand stamp and ticket to prove it was you.  - Hendizl  2950.3 #57 4:49PM
What he said! If you have multi-day tickets though, you don't need a handstamp. They will take your picture and sync it to your ticket so all you'll need is the ticket! - missmimi90  2064.3 #92 4:57PM

I got a run question to for the runner...is there a gear check? Planning on doing a 1/2 at some point but been reading some pre races things and some recommended pre race stuff and check bag into gear check but didn't know if Disney does that - TinkTinkTink  299.8 #32 10:17AM
Yea they give u a bag with a number. And u can check ur stuff with that. And pick it up after the run. At least that's how I believe it works. I've only done 1 Disney run. And didn't use the gear check  - woody143  36.6 #133 10:22AM
Thanks. I haven't done any yet but I don't know if my hubby will get up with me to the starting line or if I'll just see him at the finish. Hope the bag is pre order so you can get it. I haven't seen it. Trying not to look it up cuz I'll probably want one and it bww like the tinkerbell one and they are still double price on eBay  - TinkTinkTink  299.8 #32 10:28AM
Yes there is gear check.  You get a clear bag at shirt pick up.  You will have a sticker that matches your bib number that you put on it.  Then you can check it and pick it up after.  - PrincessAuroraMomma  603.0 #386 5:04PM
