I've received mixed feedback on the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I will tell you that my daughters are not interested in meeting any characters, which I think is a big part of this party. Their diets are restricted so the hot chocolate and cookies are not a bonus. And I've read that if all you're going to do is take advantage of the rides, that it's just not worth the ticket prices to do t  More...
Well no hot cocoa or cookies!😁 no characters at all?! I loved seeing mickey minnie Daisy and Donald in their winter outfits. I love seeing the lights all decked out and yes you can see them at night on any other given night. They do show holiday wishes which are different from the normal but fireworks are fireworks which comes down to the parade and you can only see the Christmas parade on the nights of the Christmas party except the week of christmas when there is no party anymore than they have the parade during park hours. So it pretty much comes down to the parade and the snow in Main Street.  - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 2:56PM
My kiddos are going through that stage that they don't care to do meet and greets. I, personally, would love to see some characters that you don't normal see, like Jack. I told the girls I would be doing a few if we go. Thank you Gayle, really appreciate the info!! - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 5:27PM
i did love spending time at Epcot in the countries for their story tellers and we did that twice but when are you going again.  - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 3:03PM
Gayle, I would LOVE the story tellers and I would see each and every one. Unfortunately, we are going too early to see them. We will be there around November 5th. - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 5:27PM

Good morning!  Well . . . it looks like dining plans will be simple this trip. We are skipping HS and doing F&WF at EPCOT, so not reservations needed for those 2 parks, just one TS at MK and we are going to do Tony's. Is it just me or does MK seem to need more TS?
Not just you I have said that for a while!  Tony's is good. Actually I would like to see new ones at all the parks. Studios is in need also. When we are at studios we actually are going to take the boat to Boardwalk and eat at ESPN that day.  - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 7:00AM

Good morning! Next week is dining reservations time! I'm so not ready! I'm open to suggestions. I think we'll be doing only new to us places and probably none at EPCOT, because of F&WF.
Good morning! That's exciting! Hmmmmm thinking......... - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 7:06AM
What's your favorite table service at Magic Kingdom? We're having a hard time with that one, but are thinking we will return to Tony's. - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 12:05PM
We like Tony's also but they really ate good at Liberty tree. The last time we left park and went to chef mickeys. Also like to take the boat to trails end wish it didn't take up so much time.  - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 1:49PM
We never miss eating at the Liberty Tree. You are really full when the meal is over. Also BOG is a nice.  - jbzdogz  16.8 #190 5:14PM
Good evening Melissa! I'm not ready either! I usually like to try a new place every trip but haven't decided what. Always do some of our favs too.  - disneycm  710.5 #11 5:25PM

Good afternoon MW family! I need some help! I am wondering if you attend the Food and Wine Festival do you really need to eat a meal too? I just hate to make reservations, then not be hungry.
We do two days at Epcot so one day we eat around the world and one day we do a dinning ressie - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 11:41AM
Also if you have the dinning plan you can use snack options at the food kiosks. Ed and I would pick something and we would share then we were able to try more things and didn't get to fullπŸ˜‰ - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 11:47AM
Thank you Gayle! We will do 2 days, we won't have the dining plan.  - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 1:20PM
Yea we usually don't do dinning either, did do the quick service this time. The kids are getting older and can finish a whole meal now so I think we will get our $ worth. It comes out to about 30. Per day per person so that's doable with all the price increases.  - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 1:37PM
Definitely not! For me, a few stops at Food & Wine is my meal (and usually a very good one!) - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1408.2 #3 1:33PM
I was thinking just this! Unless we do like Gayle suggested, do the F&W one day, and the 2nd day do reservations.  - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 5:30PM
No , we leave that as a ressie free day & just eat around the world ! - tracsant  1497.0 #2 3:30PM
Are there enough food booths to get you through 2 days at EPCOT? Or should we plan on one, then do ressies the 2nd day? - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 5:30PM
Definately enough food booths to do two days especially if you get your own selection at each booth. But that is for us maybe not everyone - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 5:42PM
I think so, each booth has quite a few selections so you can always try something different the next day and they aren't that small so it's pretty filling  - tracsant  1497.0 #2 6:30PM
No table service ressie for me... The snacks / meal around the world (the kiosk) are fulfilling for me. - otilegna  2692.8 #54 5:58PM

What are the numbers on the dates for? - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 7:55PM
Small numbers are dates, big numbers are predicted crowd levels.  - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 3:46AM
That's cool. I don't do crowd calendars but I do put the park times in mine with emh   I have found many times that the parks were busier at that park on emh days and less busy at Mk on mvmcp day - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 9:50AM
Yay! I miss the food and wine festival... - islandgirl58  461.6 #19 7:15AM
We've never been. We try to avoid crowded months, so special events are a rarity for us. We did get to see the Garden Festival in 2009, but I LOVED it, worth the crowds every once in a while. Any good tips for F&WF? - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 8:08AM
My tip is to go early in the day and during the week it is much busier during concert time and on weekends - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 9:52AM
I think we'll hit Epcot during the week, actually we'll probably hit all but 1 day at the parks on weekdays. We are usually driving on the weekends. - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 5:45PM
We're going in February.  Always miss everything, but it's the only time that works with my job. - Winnie111286  15862.2 #3 9:50AM
Do you like baseball or universal? They have spring training games at wide world of sports and universal has Mardi Gras both are fun - mmddgp  1056.4 #7 10:22AM

Hello MW family! So, after our trip in September of 2015 I started planning our next trip, can you believe that? LOL! Well, I was trying to decide November or December of 2016. When planning, I'm always looking at crowds and weather. We've been spoiled with 4 trips in September and the max wait for most rides being 20 minutes and many rides being walk on. I do love warm weather, but the humidity  More...
Yay!! That's exciting news. If you don't go during thanksgiving and if you can avoid race weekend the crowds are much lower. Happy planning πŸ˜ƒ - Schramke  681.8 #12 4:35AM

We've narrowed down two times to go . . . one of those times is early/mid November. We haven't been in November since 2007. So, I need your help. If you've been in November, list the pros and cons.
Big pro it is the food and wine festival.  Con if it is near race weekend it can be kind of busy.  - PrincessAuroraMomma  598.9 #350 4:13PM

Woohoo!!  Nov is my favorite time to go!!  The weather is perfect (usually) and the decorations are up!  The crowds are great, except for Thanksgiving week. We usually spend half the week before and half the week of. Even the week of, is not horrible though. We spent Thanksgiving at Epcot last year and it was great! - BagGal  343.6 #25 4:41AM
Thanks!  We thought about going exactly those times, but I think we'll go a week out two earlier, in hopes of low crowds. I'm hoping the weather is cooler than June and September.  - DizneyGirl  960.9 #8 4:45AM
Hi we are going Thanksgiving this year. Do you have any recommendations for restaurants on Thanksgiving Day?  - Gatorgaljlb  8.5 #279 5:39AM
Diz, it'll definitely be cooler than June. However, when we got there, someone told us that the week before had been in the high 80s!  I couldn't believe it! - BagGal  343.6 #25 4:52PM
@Gatorgaljlb We had Thanksgiving  dinner at Biergarten. It was fabulous!  They had their regular menu plus turkey, stuffing, and all the rest. The only thing missing was sweet potatoes. I had to make those for my girls when we got home. πŸ˜‹ When it gets closer, you can usually find out which restaurants have a special Thanksgiving menu. I think Garden Grill did and a few others. You could always go to Liberty Tree Tavern. They have a Thanksgiving menu year round. We just wanted to avoid the crowds at MK so we didn't go there. Have fun planning! - BagGal  343.6 #25 4:57PM
