I want to start crossing off things on my 'getting ready for WDW' list, but it's just a tad bit to early, WHY? How early do you start preparing (minus the ADRs:))

The mental preparation starts very early on for me, lol... but the actual physical part (packing, etc.) starts about 2 weeks prior. I plan way out though for what we'll wear (matching outfits) months ahead. :) - mrsincredible

I've heard that ressies MIGHT be able to be made prior to noon, I'm not sure why Disney would do that, seems wrong. My source isn't a great one either, but wanted to pass it along, you can always try earlier in the day just in case! - DizneyGirl

Got an email yesterday, my brand new camera might be part of recall. I can't send it in or I won't have one for our trip. It could have a chemical on the grips that can irritate your skin and eyes. They say mine isn't currently on the list, but could be if the list is expanded and he told me I could send it for piece of mind. Just what I need a rash on my skin while at WDW, thanks for letting me vent!!

Good news! School open house tonight and neither teacher was upset that the girls will miss 6 days to go to Disney. Actually the 4th grade teacher said a lot of kids were going on vacation just a few weeks after school starts.

Has anyone staying at AKL went over to Samawati Springs Pool? I read you aren't suppose to, but also read that people do? I'm confused!! I don't want to cause any trouble :)
Hey Melissa you can go over there ..it really suppose to be for dvc members but wr went 3 times and they nevet check your key cards plus i saw a couple of families. Ask the lifegard and they said no problem. Its a 10 min walk to go over there but if you ride the bus its 5 ..i think its faster to walk so u dont have to wait for transport.. hope this helps:) - Disneymom36

We always see the parades illuminations still have not seen fantasmic ( Smh). We always eat at Ohana boma cape may 50's prime time and Wolfgang puck. Shop downtown Disney. I am a eater lol. My family do all the rides. I do a select few. Roam the countries at epcot. - 5disneylovers

I suggest MK! The train stops at the main gate with Mickey and friends as well as the Mayor of Main St. It's like an opening ceremony and a really cool and magical way to start the fun for the day! - Jalex239

I always try to each trip and it never happens, but we usually get to the parks 30 minutes after opening. MK seems like it has the best RD! - Andrea84

Since we drive to WDW I buy the girls a 'gift/surprise' for each day of our trip. Last year I put them in lunch bags with the Tinkerbell crew on them and they opened one per day, things like: a trading pin, a vinylmation, a autograph book, etc. This year I'm only doing it on the days we are actually on the road, there's so many exciting things at WDW there's no need to have them for days during our stay. So today, I bought a DS game for the trip there and another for the way home (got GREAT deals on eBay!). I've also gotten them Muppet vinylmations! Anyone got another ideas?
I like your car idea! On long car trips, my girls earn a dollar for each hour there is no complainin or whining. Then, when we get to our destination, they have a little more spending $. Now, they don't complain and I don't even have to remind them. :) - BagGal

Fun! I do the little gifts too, one each day. Last trip I gave my girls a Minnie necklace, a pin, some Minnie lip gloss, etc, etc. My mom comes with us and she can't resist giving them little gifts too. The girls had so much fun with the surprises we gave them, they didn't ask to buy anything at any of the shops until the last day we were there. - BagGal
