Good morning! For those of you running this year's Wine & Dine, what are your goals for the race? My first goal is to finish in comfortably under 3 hours. My second goal is to finish feeling strong. I really want to make it to the Finish Line Party this year... and feel good enough to enjoy it!
Good morning everyone! Don't forget, general registration for the 2014 Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend opens today at Noon Eastern (9 am Pacific)! So, who's in???
I would like to wish a Happy Birthday to the talented and creative mzdisnee! You are an inspiration to many and I am so glad to call you my friend. What an amazing several months we have had and here's to many more! Happy Birthday Jennifer!
I did it! This morning I completed the Hot Chocolate Seattle 15k. It was cold (high 30's), wet (it started dry and ended with light rain), and hilly (1372 ft elevation climb). But, the chocolate fondue in my Finisher mug was delicious! If it wasn't for runDisney, I never would have started running and I would have missed out on THIS!
Good morning & happy Saturday! If this countdown was for WDW, I'd be making my dining ressies today. But, it's for DLR, so there's nothing to do but wait... 6 months! Have a great weekend!
Good morning everyone! Early registration for the 2014 Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend opens today at Noon Eastern (9 am Pacific) for AP and DVC! General registration will open on March 4th.
An Avengers themed half marathon weekend at DLR November 14-16, 2014 has officially been announced! One new race announcement down, one more to go. Cross your fingers for a Star Wars themed runDisney weekend at DLR in January 2015. They didn't move Tink for nothing!
runDisney had a chalk artist at DTD tonight. Apparently there's a big announcement coming on Tuesday. An Avengers or Marvel themed half marathon at WDW possibly? (Better news, that would still leave the possibility of a Star Wars themed race weekend at DLR in January!)
The dates for this fall's Epcot International Food & Wine Festival have been announced. This years's festival will run from September 19 - November 10, a record 53 days. I cannot wait!!!
Weekend project complete! Just a few days ago, my hard earned runDisney medals were just hanging on the arm of my treadmill. Now they are hanging on my "All you need is faith, trust, and A LITTLE PIXIE DUST" medal hanger with my car magnets on the left and "If you believe in something, BELIEVE in it all the way" plaque on the right. It really makes the blank white wall next to my treadmill look great and will help provide inspiration during my training runs!
Thank you to my "friend forever", tracsant! The valentine is just adorable and I laughed so hard when I saw the cocktail classics Jelly Bellys. Perfect! Thanks again & Happy Valentine's Day!
Thank you my MW Valentine, Maleficent69! The plaque is perfect and I'm going to hang it next to my runDisney medals. Chocolate covered pretzels? Yum! Thanks Susie, I love everything!
Good morning everyone! In exactly 200 days I'll be on my way back to DLR for the Disneyland 10k! I booked my airline tickets yesterday. I will be flying down Thursday morning to attend the first day of the expo. I decided to fly home Saturday night after the 10k and my medal tour (my favorite part)!
Good morning & happy Friday! Here are a couple of shots from the Tinker Bell 10k last month. The one on the left is my favorite! I'm really looking forward to my next runDisney 10k. Have a great weekend everyone!
I would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes today. I've had a wonderful birthday (especially for a Monday)! Below are my gifts including a running outfit & chocolate fudge cake from my brother, a very appropriate card from tracsant, and my first Dooney & Bourke from my Mom! Goodnight & sweet dreams!
I would like to thank jacdanfan, goofygal, and Psychguy for my wonderful birthday gifts! I love the villains shirt, pins, and will enjoy the peppermint bark! The other day I said I didn't have a favorite villain. I have now decided Anastasia, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine are my favorite villains! ð
Good morning & happy Friday everyone! I wanted to share some photos of your FLip Side Fairies at the Tinker Bell Half Marathon. We managed to run/walk together for the first five miles. I hope we made everyone proud!
POTD: Animal Kingdom For the foodies, here is an example of the food catered by Tusker House and served in a tiffen box during the Wild Africa Trek. The bottom photo shows my vegetarian box while the top left is an example of the standard box. In the top right, POG, yummy!
POTD: Animal Kingdom You can't talk about AK without talking about the Wild Africa Trek. This tour takes Guests through AK's Africa in an immersive experience. The tour is composed of light hiking, fall protection (while standing in a cliff over hippos or crossing a "rickety" rope bridge over crocodiles), a private safari, and a delicious meal catered by Tusker House. This tour is pricey, but you receive a PhotoPass CD with high quality photos of you and the animals as seen during your tour and a portion of the cost is donated to Disney's Wildlife Fund. They occasionally offer discounts for tours scheduled during the middle of the day, a great bargain!
