I live in Seattle & took my first trip to Dineyland as a baby. I finally made it to WDW for the first time in 1998 & Disneyland Paris in 2007. Finally, in 2012 I became a proud Disney Vacation Club member!

ToT is different, and better, at WDW. POTC is different, not necessarily better (or worse). I recommend spending most of your time concentrating on attractions that DLR doesn't have.
TOT is better, POTC in my opinion is kind of a let down after DL...space is very similar but no music. I would spend some time at Epcot! Going through the world showcase can literally take a day! I love that park!! - brittandkell

I prefer the French Quarter side, but both are fairly convenient to DTD & Epcot. I think all Disney resorts offer package pick-up. You usually pick them up at the gift shop (they don't deliver to your room).
Have not stayed there but have visited the property and it's lovely , very pretty , I'm pretty sure you can have package delivery at any on site hotel. Btw we started a park and resort a day post , today is animal kingdom and animal kingdom lodge, hopefully that can help with your must do list:) - tracsant

Tusket house is great for authentic African food. Animal kingdom lodge is a great place to stay. It has Boma which has great eats. Omg to die for desserts there. Yak and yeti is great. As is rainforest. The safari is great go in the morning to see the animals. Love love that park - 5disneylovers

Welcome to the FLip side! Plan on spending at least a full week (more if you can) and I like the flexibility of Hopper passes. There a lots of great resorts on property to fit any budget. Just let us know what your considering, and we'll be happy to recommend our favorites!
Hi and welcome , MW wdw is a great place to get tips advice ideas ect. Feel free to ask away , I've been both in April and may and it can be quite busy , the weather this may was a bit rainy and warm , will you be staying on property ? They have lots of great resorts for all types of budgets plus you can take advantage of extra magic hrs and the magical express . Dining reservations are must , most places book up pretty quickly , but you have lots of choices . I'm sure you will love it , have fun planning and whatever questions you have I'm sure someone on here can answer:) - tracsant

I highly recommend www.allears.net to help plan. If you don't make dining reservations you won't get in to many restaurants. One thing to consider is looking into what rides will be under refurbishment and when. You'd hate to plan a trip and get there to find somethingyou wanted to see or do was not available. It sounds like your ddates are flexible, so I'd check into that. - DizneyGirl
