Has anyone done the Family Magic Tour at Disney World? How about for a 7 yo girl?
Bump! - justGoofin  128.8 #55 2:11PM
Wish i could help but never done it! However since you mention it is called "family" magic tour, i assume you should be a-ok. Onthe other hand, my grandmom did a back scene wdw tour and she said it definitely ruined some magic for her! - Boardwalkgirl  55.2 #87 2:17PM
I'd also like to know if anyone has taken their kiddos on this. I did read on Disney's website it's geared towards 4 to 10 year olds, so I think it'd be great for a 7 year old. They did warn it's 2 hours of walking, so be prepared. I'm sure it's not constant walking, so it shouldn't be too bad. You would be walking around the parks anyway. - DizneyGirl  595.0 #8 2:19PM

After much discussion, I'm excited to be heading to POR for a second time in the fall of 2013. This will be our first in a royal guest room. I think the kids will love it. Also can't wait for the new fantasyland. It was under construction last time.
Yay. Start your count down. Lol - 5disneylovers  855.2 #4 10:22PM

Doesn'y look good for getting Alicia her Rapunzel.
Florida Mall had people waiting at 6pm yesterday. - IndyandMarion  1236.9 #1 4:56AM
Awwww... - CinderellaPrincess85  194.6 #37 5:25AM
Well I was the first person in line to not get any of the dolls. What bugs me is there was 81 dolls and I was 26th in line. What really gets me is the people that were clearly same household members buying multiple sets. What really really gets me was the secondhand sale I witnessed already in the parking lot just 100 yds from the store. I hop Marion had better luck. - Disneydad42  5.6 #366 7:49AM
We tried!! She will love you no matter what! Xoxo - Ariel42  259.1 #23 3:29PM

We really like using DDP. However, we just booked a five day trip with a quick turnaround (3rd week of Sept). So, we signed up for the quick service plan. 1. Is quick service worth it? 2. Any recommendations of nicer quick service locations? 3. Do you think I can pull off reservations anywhere at this point to make switching to a table service plan worth it?
Check the disney site to see available tables (go to make diniing reservation, do no prefefence for location, select a date and meal). I was able to book a dinner show not even 3 weeks in advance, and also a scifi dinner. Times will prolly not be ideal, tho. - C-Ticket  38.0 #106 8:52PM
Thanks C. - Disneydad42  5.6 #366 8:58PM
Thanks everyone. Reading all your comments is making me hungry! - Disneydad42  5.6 #366 11:42AM
I forgot a tip I learned too...several of the nearby qs have scaled down meals/snacks that are the same as their similar table service. I found a list last year but don't remember where...But one was the liberty tree clam chowder was the same as columbia harbor house. - lmahon424  103.8 #3320 2:47PM

Just booked Sept 19-23 at SSR. First time at that resort. Only doing quick service plan since its so close. Have 5 and 22 mo. Any suggestions or tips for this resort?
I haven't stayed there since it was the Disney Institute. I loved how quiet the resort was! My favorite thing was taking the boat "home" from DTD at night. Oh, and they have a great spa too! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  865.7 #3 5:54PM
The buses can be confusing since there are four stops. Just ask the driver when you get on the bus if you had any questions. If you don't have a car just tell them at check in and they will take you to your building and at check out just call bell service and they will pick up you and your bags. Eat at the parks or DTD, nothing great at SSR. Check out the new pool, zero entry will be great for the little ones. That's all I can think of right now! Enjoy! - Andrea84  633.0 #7 9:16AM
Stayed there once. It is quiet, but it's big. You may want to request a room close to the pool and "lobby" area so you don't have such a far walk. The downside of the resort is u have to take the buses, but there are multiple bus stops. In all it's a nice resort. Have a good time. - toogrumpy  141.5 #53 9:40AM
It's a nice resort. They have a decent quick service / gift shop area too if you want to grab a bite while at the resort. - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #18 1:42PM

We may be lucky enough to be coming for a 5 day trip in Sept or Oct. We are probably going to do quick service plan. Any ideas fof each park? At the time of thr trip the kids will be just under 6 (girl) and 22-23 mos (boy).
First off dnt over do it take ur time and maybe dnt do all the parks . There is a lot to do at mk . Drink lots of water because it will be hot! Try to see the characters that is the best thing for kids and grown ups . Maybe try to do half days at parks so you do not get too tired . Eat at caseys in mk great hot dogs! The quick service is plenty of food believe me we always get the reg dining plan and its too much lol but we love the character dining. Buy the mugs when you get there well worth it and its a great keep sake! Where are you staying? If you have any questions everyone here can help you out . Have a great night!!! - shewsluvdisney  60.8 #83 10:23PM
Make your daughter a princess at bibbity bobbity boutique and your son a pirate at the pirates league! (Both are at MK.) - PixieDust76  78.9 #69 10:34PM
Andrea thanks for all the tips. From what I hear you can walk to DTD from SSR. Correct? - Disneydad42  5.6 #366 6:16PM
Yes you can, the walk can take 5-15 min depending on which section of the resort you are in. There is also a boat to DTD from SSR. - Andrea84  633.0 #7 7:34PM
