I need advice. Im in wdw now without meal plan. Am checking out of allstar today and into beach club later today. can i add the meal plan today for rest of trip. and i apologize to those who already recommended it for my vaca i think i should have listened after what we spent on one day of food.
I would check at the front desk, I know for dvc you can add the dining plan up to 48 hrs before you check in. If not, there are a lot of good QS places at DTD and some of the parks. Enjoy the beach club! - Andrea84

I think you can only add DVC dining plan up to 48 hours prior to your check in. Not sure they can add it but you should ask anyway. DDP is the way to go for convenience and saving some cash! Good luck and enjoy! - Jalex239

We are staying at All-Star Movies for the whole trip 10/5-10/10, but have a character breakfast at Cape May/Beach Club our first morning there. Just can't beat the prices on the Value lodges, but LOVE the moderate and higher ones, so nice. We have stayed at Grand Floridian a few times in the past. What's on your agenda first, can't wait to hear!! - mrsincredible

Another reusable mug concern. We usually stay at movies and we all get a mug because we use them and like them. But are they worth getting for a stay at the beach club? Not sure of the dinning experience there
If you haven't looked into it, consider the Disney dining plan. Most versions come with mugs so it would likely be worth it at any of the resorts! - Jalex239

The beach club is great! There is a fill station near the main lobby at the gift shop, the pool and I believe u can get them filled at Beaches and Cream ice cream shop. The cape may cafe has an awesome buffet. We don't get the mugs because we don't drink soda. - toogrumpy

Did anyone see the post on allears? That talks about the trial of putting codes on bottom of reusable mugs to limit them to two weeks. And same code on paper cups to limit to one hour of use and three refills in that hour.
Disney did a test run at Sports this past July. I read about it on the Disney Foid Blog. Looks like it's going to he at all the resorts at some point. With the refillable mugs they will be coded for the length of your stay. With the paper cups they will be good for about an hour just long enough for a meal. And the soda machines are going to be fixed so that you can only refill your cup every 5 minutes instead of a continual stream of soda. Check out disneyfoodblog.com.
