#NEW FANTASYLAND - hey everybody! I just got a good confirmation today that all of New Fantasyland, NOT including Seven Dwarf Mine Train, is set to open on November 19th! This is tentative, but as of now, it will be open on a regular basis following November 19th!

SOFT OPENING - today (for a short time) began the first of what could very well be many days of soft openings for New Fantasyland! There is no official schedule, but if you're at WDW then I would highly suggest checking Magic Kingdom in the mornings to try and catch one!

What started out as simply an experimental project, became something much, much more. Over the years, this place has grown and developed (even before it's opening 30 years ago) into a place that would bring countries together from around the world to a central location where they could be seen as if someone was actually visiting them. Eventually, Walt Disney had a second place designed, that would be built as a representation of the future. A place where anyone could go for a little glimpse at tomorrow. By October of 1982, these places had been merged together, separated only by a beautiful fountain to create the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. At EPCOT, guests from anywhere in the world could enter to see Spaceship Earth, visit Future World, or see the modern world represented at World Showcase. Every night, the show "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" brings these countries together in a nighttime spectacular that ends each day for EPCOT. It has been my honor to work at EPCOT, and to help bring its story to life. With that I say, happy 30th anniversary, to the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow! And, a happy 41st to the Walt Disney World Resort!

NEWS - While Test Track is "scheduled" to reopen on December 1st, you can expect it to POSSIBLY open the week of Thanksgiving, or more likely, sometime in early 2013. There have been a number of issues with the Test Track refurb and it threw off the entire reopening schedule. Sorry to disappoint those who planned an early December trip just to see it.
